"I have visited this restaurant a few times and have always enjoyed the jerk chicken, which is a perfect meal with no complaints. However, my most recent experience trying the beef Ramadan roast was disappointing. The beef was too rare for my liking, making it chewy and lacking in flavor without the jerk sauce. The Yorkshire puddings seemed to have a unique batter that didn't quite work, and the potatoes were stale. The vegetables and plantains were the best part of the meal. I ended up swapping with my friend's chicken from her Ramadan roast, which was a better choice. The lychee mocktail my friend had was lacking in lychee flavor and was bitter, but adding syrup helped improve the taste. This was the first time I left dissatisfied with the food at Guanabana. I would recommend sticking to options like the jerk chicken, as I have not tried it recently. The restaurant offers prayer space in the back outside, which I appreciated, and the customer service was efficient. Prices are reasonable."

"Delicious lunch at the Barley this week. Recommend the catch of the day and the ravioli and as for the sticky toffee pudding faultless."

"Lovely restaurant. Lovely vibe. Dog friendly in seating area which is covered with strong heaters. Food amazing. Ordered whole lobster, crab, huge king prawns, smoked bread, cheese board with dessert wine. Atlantic beer was lovely. Prosecco cold crisp. Served by the beautiful, friendly Lily-Grace last night who gave us the food recommendations. Will definitely be back soon with friends. If you have driven passed, thinking you must try that place.....what are you waiting for? Get in there....you won't be disappointed. ENJOY!!!!"

"**Review:** I had an outstanding dining experience! The service was superb, making our dinner truly enjoyable. The price per person was around £30–40, which I found to be reasonable for the quality provided. Both the food and service received a perfect rating of 5, and the atmosphere was equally impressive. I highly recommend trying the Cote De Boeuf (28oz). Plus, there’s plenty of parking available!"

"I've visited this restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. It's not the cheapest option, but you definitely get what you pay for. I'm looking forward to returning and would highly recommend Miller & Carter to anyone. The waitress was amazing—funny, polite, and very attentive. Absolutely brilliant!"

"I think I 've been to this branch in the past but this review is based on last week. Brought someone because I was craving it but the experience feel short. They try to create a nice atmosphere but the table of women next to us were so loud we had trouble focusing on our conversation and guests don 't follow the supposed dress code . The steak was wrong, one of us received medium rare instead of rare (i specifically recommended him to try it like this) and i think mine was medium instead of medium rare. Frustrating as the opposite thing happened on Saturday at the Brighton branch, quite disappointing as its supposed to be their speciality, and for some reason the steak here was not as flavoursome as the Brighton branch. Both my guest and I were disappointed, I was looking forward to introducing him to Miller and Carter but it didn 't come across as anything special as i had inferred. The waitress did offer to replace the steak but by the time she was checking in on us we had nearly finished. She was nice but her bye was quite insincere, probably because she was busy or because we complained. We didn 't stay for dessert and my guest probably won 't come back Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free menu online, I later found out they have them in the restaurant too"

"A lovely pub and outside areas, however service and food was a massive let down. Went for Sunday lunch, had a drink first In the garden and the arrived at 1.30 to be seated, got given menus only to be told there was no beef and only pork available or the steak. At 1.30!? Most of us chose the pork, was left waiting for ages so had to get someone's attention to order, seemed to be only 3 people running the bar and the restaurant, asked for tap water which was forgotten, tried to get someone's attention to order drinks but we had been left half an hour now so I went up to order. Pork when it came was so thickly cut it was chewy and grey. No roast potato's given on one of the plates, gravy was like water. No flavour to anything except the cauli cheese which was nice. Table behind us also complained. Most of our plates were left full so we explained and manager came over and offered 50%off bill which was good service in the end. A real shame as saw the reviews were good but definitely would not return."

"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."

"Have visited this place several times now and I know it can get rather busy hence the lack of availability when trying to book , a little disappointed this time , never really noticed until tonight with the heavy rain how dark the car park is! Lack of lighting! Was shown to our table across what can only be described as an ice rink , you should really display signs to let people know the floor is slippery. The drinks order was taken and then after several minutes was asked if we were ready to order food, the starter arrived before the drinks! We ordered very similar mains but were presented with wrongly cooked steaks, despite specifying, and incorrect sauce , the onion loaf which is normally cooked correctly was nothing more than a soggy lump of onion cold in the middle. I must say the waitress took all of our comments on board with professionalism and courtesy. Sorry to have a moan but merely disappointed when this type of venue isn't the cheapest but historically it has been worth the premium."

"FINE DINING EXPERIENCE ! Had a beautiful meal at the Prince of Kent for the first time after having a disappointing meal at another Indian restaurant. Let’s just say we were beyond pleased with our experience here definitely worth the 20 minute drive! We rang late notice but still managed to get a table for around 7:40 on a Saturday night. It was reasonably busy so I’d recommend booking. We were greeted and sat in a lovely spacious clean booth with fresh flowers. We were served by lovely waiters who went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed whether that be drinks, napkins etc. Popadoms were lovely and crispy and arrived within 10 minutes, dips and salad fresh. Our mains came, me and my partner were pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes were amazing and we both admitted that it was best chicken in a curry we had ever had, honestly so juicy and tender. I had a Butter Chicken which was spot on and he had a Tikka Masala (both beautiful). Mushroom rice was extremely generous and Sag Paneer was spot on too. Naan bread was very nice very light and fluffy so we both left feeling full but not bloated! The waiter who delivered our mains double checked everything with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Best meal out we had in a long while, everything was delightful, came piping hot and well presented! Thank you to your team for your service, you definitely have a loyal customer in us, our whole evening was perfect. We will bring our whole family next time as we know they’ll love it as much as we did. Would recommend to anyone as everyone went above and beyond! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable dishes, sides were generous too! Dietary restrictions: The menu is self explanatory and helps mark what is safe for people with dietary requirements, staff asked if anyone had allergies Parking: Park on street or Waitrose, pop in and maybe buy a drink or something small (2 hours free) Do not park in Royal Oak or you will receive a fine."

"The meal was excellent and Denise provided great service throughout the evening. We dined in for dinner and the price per person was £100+. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Black Angus Ribeye Steak and Chunky Chips."

"Last night in Oban, my friends and I decided to take a stroll along the waterfront despite the rain. After a while, we couldn't resist the tempting smell of hot chips and decided to grab a quick snack. The staff behind the counter were friendly and shared some information about their business with us. We ended up trying haggis, black pudding, and of course, some chips. Despite the lack of fish, the meal was delicious and the chips were especially good. We noticed a picture of Rick Stein on the wall praising the fish and chips, so we knew we were in for a treat. We happily ate our snacks as we continued along the waterfront, planning to return for dinner later that evening."

"We are local and enjoy visits to this restaurant, but the prices have now increased ridiculously and simply not worth it. Our bill was just short of £100, which seemed too high, so we questioned. The waiter came over and billed us individually, but when we had left the testaurant, we realised they had taken £4 worth of tips without even asking us. Such a shame to see a good restaurant go down hill. The food was good, but that's about it really."

"Warm, friendly welcome on arrival. Informed about additional items included in lunch menu and new price. Gerri served us and was very attentive, informative and helpful in explaining food choices. Food was cooked to perfection and delicious…..reasonably priced. A very enjoyable lunch, in pleasant surroundings, with very friendly staff."

"We 'd eaten at St Giles before, and this felt a very different experience. The menu pitches itself more as bar meals than a full restaurant experience, and it does feel more like that. I did stand waiting to be noticed at the entrance for about 5 minutes. Then thankfully my wife realised I must be there as she was already at the table! Wine menu was reasonably priced, and the Rioja reserva we chose was fruity and tasty. My steak was pretty well cooked and tasty. My wife 's surf and turf was not quite right no choice taken on how the steak was cooked, and the lobster tail was overcooked. Also had to remind our server that chips had been promised with that surf and turf as they didn 't arrive. Very quiet. Only one group in the bar when we arrived for an early table. Service was unusual but did the job. With other great choices in Norwich I 'm not sure wed go back. A shame as we have great memories of fabulous meals in the previous version of this restaurant."

"My partner and I celebrated our birthdays over the weekend with a group of 19 people. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, all of which were delicious. The drinks were also very good. The team did a fantastic job accommodating our large group, and we had a wonderful evening. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning!"

"Booked fish and chips twice, £28, for 5pm, no confermation email so had to go in and check order received, arrived to collect meal at 5 and ended up waiting 10 minutes while the meal was cooked, so booking for 5 was a waist of time. The fish was not quite cooked as some of the batter was still runny, and the chips were cut so thin that they were crispy but had no content, good way to save money on potatos. The fish and chips came with mint and pea humans, not great and tartar sauce, nice, also jars of ketchup from Essex and mayo, not required and very waistful. All in all for £28 not value for money or a great experience and would not recommend it, for the price."

"My partner took me out for a lovely meal at Goodmans, which had been highly recommended by several people, and it did not disappoint. We began with lobster and tempura prawns, both of which were incredibly delicious. For our main course, we each had filet steak, cooked to perfection, accompanied by tasty chips. The pepper sauce and the spinach and mushroom sides were delightful. Overall, the meal was a fantastic tasting experience, and we can't wait to come back. The service was excellent, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant."

"Decided to go out for tea on a wednesday evening restraunt wasnt busy at all but service was terrible absolutely no concept on how people want to have a nice relaxed evening out. We had one drink and ordered some prawn crackers no sooner had they arrived we were being rushed to order our main which we did, we hadnt finished the prawn crackers and two waiters came running out with plates and meals which were crammed onto the tiny table and our starter was wiped away without us finishing ..........we werent offered another drink and by the time we had eaten we had been in and out in 30 minutes!! .......they r missing a trick surely if people are able to relax and take time they will order more drinks and eat more.........the food came out suspiciously quick and the whole experience has put us off going back again."
