"We have ordered takeout from Bombay Lounge multiple times and have always been impressed with the high quality of the food. However, on our most recent visit, there was a mix-up with our order. The delivery driver (apologies for not getting your name) quickly realized the mistake and rectified it before handing over the order. We were pleasantly surprised to receive nearly double the amount of food we had originally ordered, as well as a complimentary bottle of wine and sincere apologies for the error. The customer service was truly exceptional. Overall, we rate the service, food, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5. For a price range of £10-£20 per person, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit."

"We ordered for picup and had to wait an half an hour after the time it was supposed to be ready, it was busy so fair enough at least it would be fresh. I was waiting and waiting finally me order was ready only it wasn’t my order. My order was sitting in a delivery bag all the the time. Got home (around the corner) and the food was cold, it was stuck together like set jelly. €50 down the drain, into the bin. Very disappointed . Maybe it’s good when fresh/hot certainly not cold. Ended up getting chipper....."

"Disappointed. My first time ordering takeaway from Shilpa and I have never had this type of Indian food. I believe the food was tweaked to be bland. I don’t think the food should be changed to meet the demographic preferences of the area. If I was in India they would not make the food different if they were serving to a non Indian person. They make the food the same spice and taste for everyone. I never asked for bland or non spicy so I believe the food should be prepared traditionally. As an Indian person who has gone to India many times I can say this food was appalling. The roti was stale, tasted like shop brought or a day old. Rice was bland. And the curry I ordered the butter chicken and all I can say is I have never seen butter chicken like this in my life. It was bland, the meat was not marinated. The colour is usually a bright dark orange and taste is usually creamy and rich in spices. This was far from the traditional butter chicken. All the food was cold too. I ordered a starter of tandoori meat, butter chicken, garlic rice, 2 chapati and 1 Nan. This cost £35. Very poor value for money and will not be eating from here again."

"Bit disappointing. We had breakfast here in April ‘23 for convenience, as we stayed at the Premier Inn which we could not fault. The breakfast however was disappointing. Non-dairy milk was provided on request, someone then had to go and look for it, open a pack, gave me enough for one drink, and then put it away again, after having waited for it the first time for a while at the counter, I did not bother with a second drink. It was nowhere near as nice as my coffee machine at home. As the ‘all you can eat’ is no longer self-service, we waited for about half an hour to get our order in, making us a bit late and rushed for our timed-entry at the castle. We’d long finished our drinks and croissants before we finally got to order. I had mentioned earlier to the waiter that my croissant had had a hair in it. He said to put the hair in the bin, I told him the hair was baked into the croissant, he then just pointed at the bin, and told me to have an other one, but I was a bit put off by then. Later someone mentioned that you can also ask to have your croissant warmed up, but this was not apparent from any sign. When my breakfast came it had a bit of cooked plastic into the egg, like from bacon wrapping, I didn’t bother mentioning it, just fished it out, had my breakfast and went. Sausages were nice, and had it been buffet I would have had an other one, so I imagine they save a lot of money by running it this way instead! The rest of the food was pretty mediocre. I won’t be back for breakfast in a hurry, but had a lovely night at the Premier Inn though. As this is very close to the center, if walking is not a problem for you, I’d go somewhere else!"

"Because some of information on the Internet doesn 't get deleted or worse it is confused, this restaurant was previously known as the Waterfront Balti. Soha took it over some time back and it 's now unrecognisable. Smart decor, clean with a 5* Food Hygiene Certificate, excellent staff but more importantly the food is faultless. Soha can cook! Well at least in my opinion. The chicken tikka Desi karai I had tonight was one of the most flavoursome dishes I have had in years. Indeed it prompted me to write this review as soon as I got home. If your are tempted, it 's hot and spicy but be sure to ask for it with less oil. OK this may be less authentic but at least it 's better for the waist line. You can take your own alcohol and there is ample parking outside the door. I have been back a few times since the above post, and am still a fan of the food but I suggest that part of the dining area needs to be tidied up to make it more 'comfortable '."

"Ashukaa is our local Indian restaurant and we really enjoy the food from here (we've had takeaway as well as sit in meals). Generally, we have an enjoyable experience. The only negative for us is that sometimes the staff serving can seem a little abrasive. We can visit one week and have exceptional and friendly service and then another week we get treated fairly poorly for no reason and the server is just plain rude! We do very much enjoy the food from here and will also say the staff were helpful when we visited with a friend who was vegan to ensure she ordered as per her diet which was nice. Vegetarian options: There are a number of options available. Dietary restrictions: The restaurant has a guide for people to follow and were able to offer vegan options for a friend"

"We booked out the Vaults for our wedding celebration (note, not a legal ceremony don't want to confuse to celebrate with our family and friends. We had organised this back in and had to move the date twice thanks to COVID. Throughout, Jo...was absolutely brilliant in answering questions, offering advice and made it a much less stressful experience than it could have been! On the day, we were able to attend the Vaults well in advance of the start of the celebration to do our decorations, with the help of the team as required. We did welcome drinks and, as the day was surprisingly lovely for a September, we decided on the day to do them outside again, nothing was too much trouble for the Vaults. Canapés were served and received a lot of praise from our guests. The meal was absolutely delicious and presented really well, getting round our guests in good time and ensuring people were not left waiting for ages for their food. The room was beautifully decorated and the staff extremely attentive as well, which was much appreciated. For the rest of the evening, we had dancing and we were kept well supplied with drinks as required. Overall, they gave us a wonderful wedding day and I could not fault them at all. Would very very highly recommend for any event or dining!"

"We were staying at Kenwick Park Lodges and had a delivery, so we can't rate the atmosphere, but the food was good. I would give it a rating of four, as the chips were a little dry and my wife thought the korma could have been sweeter. I had the lamb tikka Balti, which was excellent. The service was a bit late, but understandable as the driver had to navigate icy lanes up to our lodge. Overall, a very nice curry and I would definitely recommend it. Service: Delivery"

"Met with my famous five friends for our Christmas meal. Started off well, service and food good. Just after 10pm the staff began hovering, when I asked why they advised they closed at 10pm. As I hadn't booked the meal I was unaware of the early closing time. We could not contact our partners to collect us earlier, due to the bad phone reception in the area. The staff ruined our evening with their constant coming to the table to remove plates etc and at one time they even removed the top tablecloth whilst we were still dining. We would never return to this restaurant due to being made to feel that we had over stayed our welcome."

"Having an Indian Restaurant within walking distance of where you live in a village is a huge bonus but my husband and I have avoided Brinjol's for years, until last Saturday. When it first opened, it was great but then we don't know what happened...but it the service and quality of food went downhill it was awful. Last Saturday evening, returning from a week away we decided to order a takeaway from there with some friends (6 of us eating) and we were so pleased with the service and quality of food. We ordered online which was really easy and it clearly stated the waiting time it arrived a few minutes before our allocated arrival slot. We ordered a huge variety of dishes and it was all fantastic and really tasty. From Garlic Chilli Chicken and Special Friend Rice, Garlic Nans, poppadams with all the extras, Chicken Madras and pilau rice, Chicken Jailfrazy and onion rice, Onion Bhajis, King Prawn Karala and Butter Chicken with Mushroom Rice. We shared everything and it was all tasty. I never really get round to writing reviews but I felt I needed to report that whatever has changed at Brinjols' it is for the better and we will be ordering from there again. Maybe next time we'll venture to the restaurant and eat in. Thank you Brinjol and well done!"

"The food was awful!!! Ordered a vegetarian Biryani and an allo sag, it was very bland and tasted as if it came from a jar in ASDA Tesco (no disrespect to the supermarkets). It is definitely not authentic mainly for the British taste buds for sure. It is the worse out of the three resturants in the Abbots Langley. You are better off driving a little further out of town and visit the Regency Club in Queensbury or Spice Rack in Stanmore. You will notice the difference in quality for the same price!"

"My wife and I are from the US and we visited Ireland back in September 2024, and this was a pleasant lunch stop for us between visiting tourist attractions in the area. There aren't a lot of restaurant options in this area, but this place doesn't use that as an excuse to be mediocre. Despite not having much competition from other restaurants, this cozy establishment has friendly staff that serve delicious food at reasonable prices. My wife and I both ordered seafood chowder with buttered beer bread on the side, and we split a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I would strongly recommend this place to everyone!"

"I have visited this restaurant many times over the past 3 years and have never had a bad meal. Everything is always perfect. Unlike other places I have tried before, the food here is not greasy even after taking it home. I have heard that this is because the food is cooked fresh instead of being defrosted after being made in advance. I prefer to wait a bit longer for fresh food. I highly recommend Mirchi to everyone and will not be dining anywhere else. Food: 5 stars."
