Big shout out to LUCY amazing bar person and thus is quite bar with lots of bushmills whisky and local beer , best ine was Don't look down hazy pale ale and bushmills black They do food as well , didn't had much time to catch with foods, but if you are hiking down the Ballintoy harbour ,TAKE THIS STOP FOR WEE PINTS AND COUPLE OF WHISKIES. We just spent a couple of days in Ballintoy and the Carrick a rede bar was one of the highlights. We were staying at another hotel in the town, but the food and service there were a real disappointment. We were feeling a bit annoyed, but made our way over to The Carrick a rede, hoping it would be better. It certainly was! We (and our dog) were made to feel exceedingly welcome by the attentive and affable barman, Niall. The bar was warm and cozy and we got a seat next to the roaring turf fire.
