"I don't understand why this place has such high ratings. The food is terrible, like really, really bad. It's not just uninspired or inconsistent, it's consistently awful. The loud music and poor building design create a terrible echo that is only made worse by the numerous birthday groups celebrating. Every 5 minutes, your meal is interrupted by even louder music for another birthday. It's great for the person celebrating, but do I have to go deaf because of their poor choice in restaurants? No, thank you. Avoid this place at all costs."

"I was disappointed that I had made a reservation online and received confirmation, but when we arrived at the restaurant, they could not find any record of it. However, they managed to find a table for us and the service was good. However, when our server was bringing us the bill, he was interrupted by someone who I believe was the manager. Despite explaining that he was busy, he was made to clean another table while the manager waited to set it. As a result, we had to wait longer to receive our bill. When our server finally brought it to us, he was embarrassed and apologized, asking if the manager was right to make him deal with the vacant table before bringing our bill. It was meant to be a surprise for a birthday celebration, and we ended up having to sit at two separate tables (there were six of us). "I booked the table online, although there was a Wigan game on, but the recipe could best be described as hostile. the gruß said there was no record of the booking I arrived a little early and you said I had to wait 45 minutes. I let the rude and abrupt one I have experienced go to the embarrassment of my daughter's sake. I asked for the table in 45 minutes and said I had a drink at the bar. I sat 10 minutes later at one of the 5 empty tables in the restaurant! the eating was ok, but nothing special, the place was busy, so the waiter was stretched and the individual table service was thereby suffered."

"I've been to francie benny several times, there's an extensive menu that provides for all budgets. we go in the rule for the set menu, which is very good value for money and cost depends on how many courses they have. the decor is old American diner style and eating is influenced by this and it has an Italian flare to it also I think. I have always enjoyed my time here, the customer service is really great, I never had a bad experience. recently I went to francie benny’s in straiton, edinburgh, but his not on this app from any reason. whatever they are going to him is always obvious that families are welcome (because of the poor level with special location, the employees are very attentive. a mother's day I went with my mother to the Straiton restaurant and my mother came with a card and a box of chocolate by frankie benny’s and on her birthday they brought her gloom illuminated with a candle/parkler and brought happy birthday music for the whole restaurant. how supposed it was when she was, it was great fun:"

"This was our first and last visit to the restaurant. My wife and I ordered steak that would have required a chainsaw to cut through. Our two daughters ordered meatballs but were instead served spaghetti bolognese. To their credit, they didn’t mind and accepted the mix-up. The waitress was polite and apologized about the steaks, but unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. One steak was so tough that it was like chewing on an old boot. We decided against dessert, not wanting to waste any more money. The only redeeming feature of our meal was the Stella Artois, which was perfectly chilled. We came to Birmingham after visiting Cadbury World in North Wales for a birthday treat, hoping to finish our day at a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations."

"Terrible in almost every way. We arrived at 6 PM on a Friday night, and despite there being only a few other occupied tables, it took over 45 minutes for our main courses to be served. It seemed that the staff had forgotten about my burger. They did come to apologize, but in the meantime, they just left my wife’s pizza sitting under the heat lamps while we waited. When the food finally arrived, the "house special" burger was overcooked, bland, and tasteless; the pizza was dry; and the fries were lukewarm and chewy. I expected standard chain restaurant fare, not gourmet cuisine, but this was truly disappointing."

"I personally dislike online booking and prefer speaking to an actual person! When we arrived, we were seated quickly, but it took 15 minutes for someone to come back and take our order, which was nice. However, the service felt rushed and unresponsive. During my reservation, I specifically requested that the "Happy Birthday" song be played when dessert arrived to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but that did not happen. We presented our Wowcher voucher, but when the bill came, we were charged again! We couldn’t prove it at the time, and since it was a special occasion for my husband's birthday, we didn't want to make a fuss, so we paid and planned to follow up later. Upon reviewing my account, it turns out we had already paid. Are they supposed to add a voucher to the bill in advance? We ended up paying £40 for a £20 credit (my husband has email evidence of this). Overall, it was not a good experience, which is quite disappointing since it was our first time out without our children in a very long time!"
