"Disappointing Experience at GBK Restaurant I recently dined at GBK Restaurant and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. From start to finish, there were several issues that severely impacted my enjoyment of the meal. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. It took an unacceptably long time for our orders to be taken and even longer for our food to arrive. Additionally, getting drinks was a nightmare as it seemed the staff were more focused on other tasks rather than attending to customers' needs promptly. Furthermore, the customer service was lacking. Not once did any staff member inquire about our dining experience or if we needed anything. It felt as though we were invisible to them. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also subpar. Tables were left dirty, and it was evident that they hadn't been properly cleaned between customers. This lack of attention to cleanliness is unacceptable, especially considering the current hygiene concerns. To make matters worse, there was no one available to address our concerns or doubts. It seemed like everyone was in a rush, with no staff members willing to take the time to assist customers or address any issues they may have had. Overall, my experience at GBK Restaurant was extremely disappointing. The slow service, poor customer service, lack of cleanliness, and absence of staff availability made for a frustrating dining experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to others and am unlikely to return in the future."

Bean And Brew

Bean And Brew

57 St Mary's St, OX10 0BT, South Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Cafe • Vegan • Coffee • British

"During our vacation in the area, my wife and I decided to visit Bean Brew on Saturday, August 12th around 1:30pm. My wife went in to secure a table while I quickly popped into the nearby sweet shop. Upon my return with the kids, we found my wife already seated inside near the entrance. She mentioned that there was a 20-minute wait for food, which was not a problem for us. As we looked over the menu, we noticed a woman in the open kitchen area appearing agitated, having a brief conversation with the cook before approaching our table. Without any courtesy, she abruptly informed us that the wait for food was now 30 minutes. Feeling taken aback by her demeanor, my wife and I decided to leave. It seemed like she was annoyed by our willingness to wait for our meals. Although we understand that delays can happen, especially in a busy establishment, it was the way in which the information was relayed to us that made us uncomfortable. The downstairs area was empty, with only one woman and her child present. Perhaps the upstairs was crowded, but the lack of communication was disappointing. Interestingly, the same woman who was downstairs approached me at Waitrose, a nearby store, expressing her surprise at my composure and dissatisfaction with the treatment of customers. It was a strange and unsettling experience, and although the staff seemed busy and stressed, we felt let down by the lack of professionalism. On a positive note, the staff held onto a model plane we had purchased and were courteous when my wife returned for it. We did not want to leave a negative review, but we wanted to share our honest experience at Bean Brew."

Ambiance Cafe

Ambiance Cafe

The Paddock, Riverside Park, St Neots, PE19 7SA, Huntingdonshire, United Kingdom

Cafe • Cafés • Coffee • British

"Whilst a car park may not be the most appealing setting for a cafe, Ambiance appears a lot more attractive if you sit facing the adjacent park, which is green and pretty, with a couple of small lakes, ducks etc. I found the staff friendly and brisk, the menu of snacks and light meals extensive and the atmosphere cheerful. Perhaps I was unlucky, but the food and drink I chose rather let the side down. My cup of tea was, in reality, 2/3 of a cup of tea. Milk was added immediately, on top of a teabag, and the water used was not boiling taken from the coffee machine, I assume. So it was an insipid and luke warm cuppa, I'm afraid. I can't criticise the cafe for the quality of the tasteless pre packaged flapjack but I can say I would rather have had a choice of home made cakes most cafes manage to offer something freshly baked. Lastly the cheese on toast, which consisted of two limp halves of toast with a pool of melted cheese dolloped between them. One piece was half covered by the pool, whilst the cheese barely made it an inch onto the other piece. The cheese itself was salty but otherwise flavourless. A cheap mild cheddar, I'd say. The food and drink was very cheap, which is good, but even at bargain prices, I would expect better than this. In any case, frankly, I would rather have paid a little more for something with flavour that had been prepared with care."
