"Perfect little spot for grabbing something different in Oxford. As a vegan, Rick's vegetarian is perfect for lunch breaks as the menu is almost fully vegan. It's vegan smoothies are also well worth trying. They're the best I've had in Oxford. Their falafel wraps rival some of the best on Cowley Road and their mezze platters are gorgeous and affordable. Try the vegan Middle Eastern Breakfast for something really different. I'm geared up to try their vegan pancakes on my next visit."

Friendly service. Quite small but nice and the food was good (tried a mezze). Looks good for vegan brunches and there are lots of (sometimes labeled) vegan options in general. Will definitely be back!

Love this cafe. If you want to just sit somewhere while you work or have a quick breakfast, this place is the one. Amazing wraps and smoothies. Try Captain America wrap and pair it with Berry smoothie.

I had the pancakes and falafel burger and both were absolutely delicious! Good value and food made fresh, with a good option of food throughout the day as well as smoothies. Lovely owners and employees and a relaxed atmosphere.

Buzzing with the young Oxford uni crowd Ricks Cafe harks back to the Casablanca theme in the menu. We tried the Humphrey Crepe with mixed berries, cappucino and a flat white. On Cowley overlooking the beautiful Church Ricks Cafe is a must on a trip to Oxford. VFM, dynamic baristas and a lively atmosphere are its usp.

large selection of menu items (almost all vegan)! went with my so last Sunday and we both had the vegan breakfast (like delicious aromen)! when we arrived, all were taken seated, so we got a smoothie, everyone free (in the rule £3) while we waited for a table! nice people, nice talks. can not wait to see what their venue upgrade will be in the next 6 months, after their business explosion

today had the most beautiful and tasty brunch at rick’s vegetarian. a vegan breakfast was really created and stumbled over this jewel in oxford. the owner is also beautiful and really hope that the vegan, vegetarian and flexitarian communities support this delicious venture. Those who want to try more plant-based will also love this place. oxford needs that. they travel the center and they will not be disappointed!

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
