"Babessss let me tell you this restaurant gives you the best food. It is absolutely delicious and it's not your ordinary recipes. It is like Michelin style dishes like they actually put effort in pairing things together according to their taste and texture. Anchovies: we were expecting just a few pieces like other restaurants but nope. It's an entire plate of fish! The portion already got us excited and what brings it to another level is the warm sourdough bread. And what's every better? They charged £1.85 for extra bread! We've had experience where restaurants charged us £4.80 for two pieces of extra bread, so this is amazing to us. Grilled mackerel: omg the fish is cooked to perfection and with all the sauce/veggies that come with it, it's so sophisticated and simply delicious. The size is great too as we were expecting less than that. Crispy chicken thigh: we made a joke when we were browsing the menu because it's around £14 and we thought with the inflation and everything, it'd come with one piece of thigh. But NOPE! It came with 3 and all these food is plenty enough to satisfy us. And let me tell you the cauliflower purée in this dish is just phenomenal. So yummy. Chocolate pudding: we aren't usually a dessert in a restaurant kinda people but because everything is so good and the dessert price isn't too expensive, we decided to go for it. First impression is the very nice portion size because it usually comes in a GU pudding sorta size but nope. This is a SOUP BOWL!!! Omg that already got my heart and the taste with the lemon biscuit is just so goooooooood! You gotta try it out. You gotta."

"We regularly visit with family and love the reasonable prices great value and delicious food every time. I am however increasingly concerned about the stairlift which has worked intermittently for the last year or two..The lift is clearly not serviced regularly as it has not been working well for a long time.We always have issues going up in the stairlift less so on the way down) . Although this is frustrating my wider concern is that if there was a fire or emergency any disabled customers would have major issues leaving the building. I’m not convinced a risk assessment has been done either as this seems to me to be a major issue. Looking at the wires today revealed 3 loose wires and one that had been cut very visible to anyone looking) not sure we will visit as regular from now as I’m worried about my stepmoms safety and want to feel confident that she is safe xx"

"My husband and I went for lunch at The Angel Inn today to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first visit and most definitely won’t be the last. Brilliant practices in place to keep both their staff and customers safe. Spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and very welcoming.The food was outstanding. We both had pate to start which was very tasty. We followed this with Beef Wellington for my husband and Chicken with creamed leeks for myself. The food was piping hot and well presented and just delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full to enjoy afters.We have no hesitation in recommending The Angel Inn and look forward to trying some more of their fabulous menu soon.Thanks for a lovely lunch. "With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time."

"Booked a table for lunch but arrived a little early which was no problem at all. We were shown to our reserved table where we ordered a lovely cooked full English breakfast. The Service was good and the breakfast was delicious! The coffee was lovely, it hit the spot on such a cold morning. We weren't rushed although the restaurant was busy. "I was visiting Warwick with the wife for our wedding anniversary and wanted to find a nice restaurant, La mesa came high on the Reviews and some times you have to take TripAdvisor with a 'Pinch of Salt ', I looked deeper into the internet and found some food critic who gave excellent reviews so had no hesitance in booking...... and we were not disappointed! This is a small and cosy restaurant, ideal for couples, a small group of friends or a business dinner. A 6 course taster menu (only option and changes every night) prepared to the quality most people dream of and only see on TV, and all for a modest set price. neighbouring tables had allergies or food preferences and this was also covered for! Don 't ask me what ingredients and herbs and spices accompanied the courses, that is explained as it was served, but I can tell you that we had a Spicy Chicken Soup, Buffalo Mozzarella on a bed of Seaweed, a large Pork meatball, Giant Prawns on a bed of Risotto, Slow cooked Lamb with a truffle mash and a creamy sugar glazed dessert. Washed down with a couple of bottles of Rioja and a Spanish liqueur compliments of La Mesa! I would 100% recommend La Mesa, fantastic food, great atmosphere, warm, welcoming and attentive staff, great wine and I love the open 'not a show kitchen ' but a creative kitchen! Booking a must and I believe 4-6 weeks in advance!"

"After finding this place using this app, I was not disappointed! A friend and I went for lunch where you can get three dishes off the menu for £12.50. Everything is labelled vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free. I had the soupa, the bravas, and the manitaria all vegan; my friend had the falafel (vegan), the arancini (vegetarian) and the greek salad (vegetarian). We got complimentary bread and hummus too. The soup was really tasty and my friend loved the arancini (sort of like cheese balls). She said the greek salad was good but it had a lot of tomatoes in it so if you are a big fan of tomatoes then it could be perfect for you! Everything else we had was really nice too, and the service was excellent. The young lady who served us was so nice and whenever I asked about whether something was vegan she always promptly returned with an answer from the chef or the boss. It's a small place, but it does have more room downstairs for larger numbers of people. I would highly recommend this place, it was a very good first meal in Edinburgh definitely set us right after a long journey!"

"The Millstone is a disgrace and a shadow of its former self which is sad to see. Food when it eventually arrived was cold and served on cold plates to boot. Cappuccino was like dish water and we were. left to wait for cutlery all the time food getting colder. The whole experience was dreadful and I would not recommend this pub to anyone especially Sunday lunch. . I would like to add we had been a few weeks previous in the restaurant and the experience was totally different to the bad service and food served in the bar area. Get your act together manger and staff at the Millstone."

"The restaurant turned to cater to only vegetarians as of late, which is unusual and disappointing for an Italian restaurant especially if you don’t like strong cheese like me, as there was only one option for mains which I didn’t care for. The service was incredibly slow. With only two other people in the restaurant, so very quiet, we still were eating our starter an hour after arriving! Decor and atmosphere is authentic and really makes you feel as though you’re in Italy. The staff are also lovely and attentive. If you’re a veggie and don’t mind waiting then this place is for you."

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."

"An old fashioned Italian restaurant that has obviously been successful for many years with a loyal local clientele. The decor was ok if somewhat tired but, as said, has to be successful so why change?The owner is a great guy, larger than life and very accommodating and funny. His second is a little less outward going and does not seem to enjoy his job much but could be it was just a bad day for him which after the last number of months is entirely understandable.I had mussels, which were excellent, and herself a caprese salad the quality of the tomato and mozzarella was not the greatest plus it was swimming in too much balsamic dressing (which, he pointed out to us, is how he likes it personally).For mains, herself had a really excellent seared lamb and lamb risotto from the specials and she loved it. I tried a little and have to agree it was excellent. I had Zuppa de pesci which was pleasant enough but the star of the show, large prawns, were somewhat over cooked and slightly powdery to my taste.Having had excellent dinners in two local restaurants, overall it was a disappointing last night’s stay in Seaford softened by some good cooking and watching the host at work.The wine list, incidentally, is good and would recommend the dry house Rose and the Primitivo which was excellent!"

"We came here for afternoon tea for a friends birthday. We sat outside in the lovely grounds as the weather was great, however the service here was awful. After taking our drink orders, it took 30 minutes to get these, when we then ordered re-fills this took an hour!! The waitress explained that she didn’t know how to make iced coffee so would have to get someone else to make them, didn’t realise it would take an hour for this though! It then took another 30 minutes to get our final 3rd drink! We would have understood if the hotel was busy or if we were a big group but there were plenty of empty tables and there were just 3 of us so I wouldn’t want to be there when they are fully booked! The food was lovely but I would not rush back here or recommend this place due to the extremely poor service."

"We had high hopes for Brigade Bar Kitchen reviews great and photos made the place look fun and vibrant. But the reality sadly wasn’t so. In terms of ambience it’s more like an airport feel restaurant, lacking in any sort of authenticity or life, like a hotel restaurant. It seemed a bit “textbook” and naff. Although the staff were friendly, unfortunately service was slow and strange. They actually forgot our order and it was a good hour or so before we got our food. I did ask after about or so if our food was coming and the waitress said yes and went to check I turned around to see the chefs scratching their heads looking confused. I could tell they’d lost our order, so instead of telling us the truth they said nothing. The waitress never came back, instead later I had to ask again, they then said it was “plating up”, it then was another before we actually got food. We had literally watched people walk in after us, eat and leave! The veggie breakfast was completely overpriced. for a tiny serving of quite cold food. Apparently the buttermilk chicken brioche was “ok but nothing special”. On a positive note, with all the waiting we had to do we had a great catch up with our cousin and her new baby"

"the first time here and it's brilliant. phoned at 3 and got a table for 4 o'clock no problem. the staff is friendly and helpful, but not in their face, the accusation is great. everyone gets fresh water/glass on the table when they sit. eating was fantastic, I had fajitas coming with a free dessert option on Monday. I was offered full so waitress to box, which I ever dessert I wanted to take away, how great is that? The toilets are clean and well decorated, what much says about a place I find. can not be enough about this place rave and will definitely be revisiting."

"Not a good place for a quick breakfast. Food and drink service took ages (about half an hour from ordering for coffee/juice and another 15 mins for food). When we entered, we asked if there was anything suitable for vegans and they didn't seem to know what this was but the menu actually did have tonnes of options which was great. One of us ordered a tuna toastie and the bread was well toasted but filling cold and cheese not melted. The orange and apple juice was freshly squeezed which was a nice fresh touch but the menu did not specify this and wasn't really what I was after so would not have ordered if I'd have known. We ordered a bottle of wine, but it had been about 30-40 minutes by the time it came so at that point we weren't interested anymore really as the food was there and we were keen to get off. Therefore we asked if we could have just 2 glasses which they gave us but then charged for the whole bottle. When we queried this, they said they didn't serve wine by the glass so we'd have to purchase the whole thing which is fair enough but they hadn't stated that when we asked for the glasses and also hadn't actually given us the rest of the bottle so felt a bit like they were trying to rip us off (they did give us the rest of the bottle when we asked as we had paid for it). I understand that Sunday mornings are normally busy for cafes (it was virtually empty initially when we got there but it definitely got busier) which is why I've given it 3 stars, not 2, as I understand preparing fresh food takes time but it was more the drinks service that was disappointing. The servers appeared disinterested/apathetic. The food options were plentiful and most of it tasty, and very reasonably priced for London but the service and confusion sadly left us with a sour taste."
