"My husband and I went for lunch at The Angel Inn today to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first visit and most definitely won’t be the last. Brilliant practices in place to keep both their staff and customers safe. Spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and very welcoming. The food was outstanding. We both had pate to start which was very tasty. We followed this with Beef Wellington for my husband and Chicken with creamed leeks for myself. The food was piping hot and well presented and just delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full to enjoy afters. We have no hesitation in recommending The Angel Inn and look forward to trying some more of their fabulous menu soon. Thanks for a lovely lunch. Keep safe."

Beautiful Easter Sunday lunch 10/10. Lovely home cooked meal, generous portions real gravy. Our party of 8 had the turkey, lamb beef brisket everyone loved their meal. We will most definitely be back!

We were promptly greeted upon arrival and seated despite not having a reservation for a late Saturday afternoon dinner. Staff attentive, food piping hot and good quality. Couldn’t really find fault in anything. Recommended!

Heard this had been closed for a short while and recently reopened. We looked at the menu online which looked good. However when we arrived we were given a different menu. Food arrived fairly quickly and there was plenty of it. Unfortunately it was bland and the chips were very dry almost like oven chips. A case of quantity over quality. Waited a long time for drinks. Arriving to be greeted by a treat for our dog and from then on our visit just kept getting better. Friendliness was genuine, track and trace made easy, setup inside to enable us to have the wider range menu and still take our dog with us, and to have such a very substantial and enjoyable meal really made our day. There is obviously a happy and professional team environment at the Angel. Thank you.

Awful service. No clear indication as to the process of serving. Sat outside so went in to ask got barked at that it was table service only and that they would be out now! Took a further 10min to be served. Very rude staff, no customer service at all! All staff were about 16 and just didn’t care. Asked for a dessert menu for our 2 year old, brought it out and said be back in 2 min but low and behold never cane back even though I tried to call them over, so we left! Won’t be going back again, wasn’t even busy so there is no excuse for poor customer service or wait.

"So came here last night 13th oct. 9 of us 2 of which 2 young kids. Had starter , calamari this was ok, sauce was nice. Main was lovely which was lasagne really quite tasty it came with chips which were nothing special if im honest, i ordered a side of garlic bread with it which was nice, The host was a nice guy very chatty, the staff seemed a little clumsy if im honest, just as we sat down a tray of drinks went down the back of my sister because the waitress wasn't looking what she was doing although accidents do happen so no biggy, although I will say nothing was offered! No extra drinks, a free starter, nothing!!! This brings me on to the cost. Not much beer choice at all, consisting of draught peroni which was are you sitting down) £6.50 a pint! So I ordered a bottle of bishops finger which i thought was a 500ml bottle, it didn't say on the menu the size of the drink which i think it should have, Well the bottle came and it was a 330ml bottle!! £4.70 for a 330ml bottle!!! im sorry but thats to much, come on guys. We all had a starter and a main with dessert each, i had the newyork cheesecake, which was ok but tasted abit like something frozen, didn't seem home made to me anyway. The Total bill came to just over £400!!! £60 of which was a service charge i was told by someone on the table, but the owner has now said that there was no service charge so if this is the case then i apologise), we were a decent size group but you know when you've gone somewhere and feel that the cost is just too much. Nice restaurant but too expensive imo."
