"Butlers is a First Class dining experience! My husband I had the good fortune to have breakfast included with our stay, and it was soooo delicious we ate there for 8 mornings in a row! I think we tried most of breakfast menu each dish was lovely and service was excellent! We also went for dinner twice Rib Eye Fillet Steak were tender, cooked perfectly and beautifully plated. 2nd dinner we had Hay Smoked Chicken Jacob's Ladder Pie...SUPERB! (We didn't try the Dover Sole, but overheard two different tables who did compliment the Chef for a fabulous meal. The staff is very professional and kind, going above and beyond to make it a memorable place to dine. Kudos to The Chef and staff you ALL helped make our trip special!"

"After receiving confirmation from OpenTable with the code 822102241, my wife and I arrived at the restaurant last night at 7:20. Despite our reservation, we were told we did not have a booking. After refusing to sit at a coffee table in the lounge, the manager was able to find us a table in the restaurant and offered us a complimentary drink to salvage the situation. However, our troubles did not end there. When we ordered the beef, we were not asked how we wanted it cooked and had to send it back because it was too rare. Our dessert took 30 minutes to arrive, prompting us to ask the staff if there was an issue. Finally, my wife had to ask for a glass of wine 15 minutes after initially requesting it. Despite some minor issues, we were still charged an additional 10% for the lackluster service. We have been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years, both as a couple and in larger groups. However, after last night's experience, we are unlikely to return. In recent years, there have been new establishments in the area that offer comparable or even superior service. Last night's service at the restaurant was truly disappointing for what should have been a special occasion."

"Superb. The interior is sweet as you can see in all pictures. The service is wonderful, the staff is very attentive, friendly and understanding. The food is good and they are open to feedback. They gave good recommendations. They have their own toilets, which is beautiful, as the ladies' room of the Selfridges had a great queen. Would definitely recommend it. I went there alone at the Boxing Day, and they really made me feel like seeing and watching."

"The Albion Cafe is located behind the Tate Modern. This is a great find, it's both a shop selling an interesting selection of food and drink products (including Hampers and a lovely selection of baked goods) and a Cafe. On this visit I just ordered coffee and a piece of cake, but do plan to return to try more from the menu, as the coffee which came in a cute coffee pot was excellent and the Victoria sponge with it's delicious buttercream filling was just perfect, shop brought cake is never this good, it was like the very best of home baking. The service was also very efficient and professional, which I guess is no surprise as the Albion Cafe is part of the Conran Group."

I tried various dishes and most were great. they have a student discount only on the 1st stage, which is 10% and they also have evening discounts 20% for the whole menu after 20:00 o'clock. they have with the same kitchen a restaurant below, in the cellar, called hiromi. hiromi do not offer students or evening discounts that are strange, and I want to find out if this is actually okay. in the ground floor restaurant they gave me 10% discount bc I paid cash."

"My friend and I came here mid week for a catch up and were so very pleasantly surprised! It was very big and spacious inside with lots of room between the tables so it didn't feel in any way cramped, it was also very busy for 5.30pm! There was an instant lovely atmosphere about the place and the minute we entered one of the waiters greeted us and led us to our table. Our waiter for the evening was very polite and checked on us after every course. "The Brasserie is a lovely decorated restaurant that played smooth jazz throughout our visit. As a birthday meal out, we were excited to try somewhere new in town. The first waiter was prompt at taking our drinks order, but barely apologised at the lack of gas (so no draught ales) and didn 't know too much about the bottled beers. Two couples order the charcuterie boards. The ciabatta bread was toasted and sharp, so it didn 't make for a pleasant bite. It snapped rather than crunched... And the rocket wasn 't dressed, so we were eating dry leaves. After this, the second waiter came to apologise that there wasn 't any creamy polenta to accompany the main, wild mushroom ragu, so he offered mashed potato or rice. When this meal turned up, there wasn 't any of the vegan cheese or rocket, which was also supposed to accompany the meal. What a waste of money, knowing that vegan cheese can be fairly costly. Nobody came to ask the party if the food was alright. We weren 't seen to for a good 30 minutes, despite being the only people in the restaurant. As well as the ragu, the steak dishes were underwhelming as well, even these salads weren 't dressed. Dry leaves make for a sad meal. We are sorely disappointed as we were really looking forward to the food here. The waiting staff were pleasant but didn 't have the experience or training that they really needed. A memorable moment: What 's the cheesecake of the day? Oh, it 's JUST the new york cheesecake. Just vanilla. Don 't undersell your food! Just vanilla is still great!"

"I visited Allium to pick up two pizzas to go, and the entire experience was a disaster from beginning to end. Although the restaurant was empty, I had to wait about 30 minutes only to be informed that they had no pizza boxes for takeout. Instead, I was offered the option to carry the pizzas on plates down the street. So, we opted to dine in. Honestly, I think frozen pizzas from Iceland would have been a better choice; they were awful. The crust was as hard as cardboard—probably frozen beforehand—with just some extra cheese thrown on top. This definitely doesn't reflect the quality of a top chef!"

"Excellent service, very careful re Covid, good spacing even in the comfortable bar area, excellent food. The piano player was an added bonus.Something else will make me go back on top of all that though. That is learning how this employer, whilst other big hotels nearby use Covid to squeeze employees, has worked hard to not only keep all employees even while hotel bookings have been down dramatically, but has also called them all each week to check they are ok. I think there should be We Care for Our Staff awards for employers and we customers should select based on that. Ask your providers if they have cared for their staff and pick accordingly.."

"We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly. We used the taste card, which was 2 for 1. So saved us, lots of money. It was a limited menu and only had 1 Vegan option. Which I was thrilled at the choice . The chips were cooked in the same oil as the meat, so even they weren't vegan. I was left with a salad, which was literally just leaves and some cut up tomato and Burger. Which if you are Vegan, you do get sick of the only vegan options always being a burger (everywhere). They do usual have 2 vegan options but one was currently out of stock."

"My wife and I had a very nice lunch on Saturday, but I was not served what I ordered. The menu had changed recently and I was not advised of this when I ordered. I ordered a sharing platter which consisted of a selection of cold meats, rillettes, bread and a baked camembert with caramelised onions. This was still on the menu in the restaurant and also on the Cafe Rouge web site on the Internet. What I was served was six sausages, garlic bread, hummus and a baked camembert. It was nice but I do not think it was worth the same price as the selection of cold meats etc. I think the staff should have said the menu had changed when I ordered and I would have ordered something different. As usual the service was first class and all the staff very helpful and friendly."

"We have been here before and enjoyed the cote de Boeuf, and have also enjoyed the Reading restaurant. We decided to celebrate my wife's birthday here with family and were a little disappointed. We did have a problem with the slow service which is why I have marked it down to 3 stars. I don't like to do this because the waiter and waitress were very polite and pleasant but we were waiting for some time to place the first drinks order, so long in fact that I had to go and find the waitress. As the restaurant wasn't busy, we were very surprised at how long our food order took to come through, which did spoil our experience to a degree and did cause a fair bit of discontent at the table. I do like the restaurant, and there was no problem with the food or the ambience. We will certainly return and hope that the slow service was an exception."
