"This bistrot should be officially declared French territory. We tried two different starters, the smoked duck salad and the speck salad, both of which were spectacular. Our mains, that followed managed to live up to the starters. The steak was cooked to perfection while the venison loin was a firework of a complex combination of flavours. Finally, the raspberry crème brûlée was the perfect ending to our lovely meal. A twist to a classic that I never knew I needed in my life."

"We have eaten here many times but last night the food was definitely not up to its usual standard. My husband had duck, potatoes and green beans but there were no potatoes. The ice cream that came with the dessert had a bug piece of ice in it. We both don’t feel well after the meal. Starter was excellent and the ambience really lovely. Service wasn’t great, I asked fir some ice and lemon 3 times before it came and they forgot my husbands expresó that he ordered"

"The waiter was very rude and seemed uninterested in serving us. Every time we asked for another drink, it seemed to bother him. He even blew on our water glasses before filling them up. Despite the poor service, the starters of oysters and grilled lobster were superb. However, the main dish was disappointing and bland. Overall, the experience was lacking in flavor and quality."

"When it comes to eating out at the moment, my life has become a little crazy, impulsive and damn right greedy – not to mention the dreaded weight gain which comes with it. Being all so busy eating, drinking and writing about food however does have some perks (apart from the obvious). You get to meet interesting new people, top chefs and some influential critics – the weight gain is worth all of that alone. Another unexpected thing that happens is you end up finding yourself a “safe haven” where you can forget about everything and relax – for me that has become Augustine Kitchen. I may have written about this place twice before already but if you go back through the reviews, read the content and look at all the photos you’ll see just how far this restaurant and its head chef/owner Franck Raymond has come. A group of friends and bloggers alike all came here one saturday (through my demands) so I could show them exactly what they’re missing – plus it was an excuse to drink buckets of chilled Champagne at noon."

"only visited odyssey for the first time and we can hardly wait to go back. the service, eating and atmosphere was excellent. the staff can not do enough for them, extremely friendly and helpful. eating was excellent, fast service and the portions were generous. so much we got away with a doggy bag. the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and I especially liked the small corner of the Greek products that they can buy. small touches like ouzo and apple juice for my daughter, when we sat down, go along. can not recommend enough. we'll be back soon!"

"Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The food was overcooked and it took twenty five minutes to bring a bottle of wine, with two people having to crawl into a cupboard to find it. The wine arrived after we had finished our starters. Using the toilet was a very unpleasant experience, as it was in a disgusting condition and unflushed. After quietly pointing this out to one of the chefs, they apologized and cleaned it. The waitress then informed us that it had been cleaned. We were taking my son, who is at university in Leeds, out for dinner as he loves French food. Despite the nice staff, it was a horrible evening and we would not return to this restaurant."

"I went to Gazette with my months pregnant) wife last Friday night. I'm a member of the Gourmet Society, and according to their website, you can get meals for the price of one. There were conditions, to use the card on Fridays you need to book on the day, and mention that you'll be using the card. I did all of these things, and the man I booked with said it was fine. All good. However, when we went to Gazette and ordered our meal the waiter looked a bit blank at us, and went to find the Manager. When I showed the Gourmet Card to the Manager, it was met with a Gallic shrug and a 'we don't do that'. He then turned on his heels and walked off, and we never saw him again. We were made to pay full price for our meal.I am very disappointed with the way we were treated in Gazette. It is dishonest, pure and simple. It's a shame, as we've recently moved to a house about minutes walk from Gazette, and we would definitely have gone again, and would have recommended it to our friends as the food was really good. However, all I will do now is tell everyone how rude, dishonest and money-grabbing they are at Gazette. Their loss."

"The service at this restaurant is very professional yet kind. The food is delicious and the dishes are served in a way that is not rushed, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. Additionally, there was live music (piano/singing) that added to the beautiful ambiance. Definitely worth the price!"

"Birthday Treat On 14/08/24 I family and a friend attended here. I gave my name to Daniella and she said our friend was waiting downstairs. I was wearing on my head a happy birthday head band. My name saying happy birthday was not put up on the screen. Later Daniella approached me and asked if I gave my name and I said yes I asked why my name and happy birthday was not on the screen. She said she will put it up after several hours it was not up and I told the lady manager that I was disappointed with the appalling customer service and will not pay service charge. She said ok. I asked if there were any complementary dessert for the birthday person and I was told I have to buy my own dessert. My family member bought the dessert and I told the restaurant that I cannot have milk however, when the dessert came it contained milk. The lady manager came and said oh you dessert with a candle contains milk and it was taken away and gave me another without milk. When the final bill was presented service charge was still added. The chef Edele was excellent and very respectful. My happy birthday greeting with my name was on the screen when we were ready to go home. I would not return to this restaurant again because of bad customer service, disrespectful to me and ruin my birthday."

"Lovely little place, decorated like someone’s living room. The food is amazing. The host and his wife who’s cooks the food were friendly and service was top notch. All of us agreed that the food was delicious. We had the village welcome for starters to share. Gipsy steak, chicken steak, the pork and beef Goulash that came with home made pasta( really creamy super tasty). For desert we had the chimney cake in two different flavours to share. Large portion. All very good. Will definitely come here again. We had Beer wine and palinka for all, came to 46pp The dinning area is wheelchair accessible though toilets are downstairs."

"What. a. gem. From the first-rate food to the slick decor/ambiance, and from the particularly attentive service all the way to the smooth playlist, this place gets full marks. The modern take on the traditional french crepe is perfectly executed (special mention to the divine goat cheese crepe), but other dishes on the menu are equally deserving of praise (the confit duck leg and the dark chocolate dessert were to die for). L'ami Malo: thanks for a fantastic night, you'll be seeing a lot more of me..!"

"We had a reservation for 11 o'clock and arrived promptly, but we ended up waiting over 15 minutes because our table wasn't ready. During that time, we had the chance to look over the menu and were prepared to order as soon as we sat down. However, our server chose to take orders from walk-in customers before us, which resulted in a longer wait for our food. We were also at a cramped table, and it seemed like the walk-in customers got better menu options. Overall, the meal was quite average; I've had much better experiences at other restaurants in the neighborhood."
