"My wife and I booked the Valentine 's Day meal, which was £69 per person, plus drinks. Although we received good service and the food was delicious, the meagre portion sizes left us disappointed. By the time we had consumed the snack , starter and main, we were considering stopping off for something to eat on the way home, as we were still so hungry! The beef Wellington was advertised as for two to share which implied that it was quite substantial. Instead, it was served as two tiny individual portions, there was nothing to share about it. It wasn 't even served with a potato dish, with the explanation that the pastry is very rich which was nonsense. Annoyingly, one of the servings was significantly smaller than the other; an observation which my wife also overhead another table commenting on to their waitress. The dessert was the only course that was reasonably portioned. As the other courses were so small, we got through everything rather quickly. My wife had visited the restaurant previously with a friend and had a lovely meal, so wanted to share the experience with me. Instead, we left feeling that we had been conned and won 't be returning."

"We ordered Tapioca Marshmallows, Corn RIbs, Grilled Sweet Potato,Padrones , Black Rice and the large grilled seafood platter to share across 5 pax and most of them were good especially the Black Rice but small points to make the sweet potato was somewhat undercooked in the middle and the corn ribs were just quartered cobs when in fact at other establishments, the corn ribs do NOT have the thick stem inside. Hoping they can perfect the technique and that it can make a difference. Otherwise, another small piece of advice is if they keep there squid cuts so thick, they really should give customers a sharper steak knife maybe as current supply of knives is not strong enough to cut well or easily. Service was a little patchy (we were an indoor table in a corner close to the main street) and we had to wave about quite a bit to get the attention of staff. Otherwise, very happy to return again soon!"

"Amazing food, great atmosphere and service. Had the private dining room for a 40th birthday celebration for 12 people. The food was incredible and we had a fabulous evening, we're so thankful to all the staff who helped make such special memories for us, special shout out to Amanda for being so attentive I've been coming here for years now and it's definitely the place to go when you want to treat yourself. It is more pricey than other places but you definitely see a big difference in the quality of the food. The vegetarian options always sound underwhelming but they always blow me away and I don't think there's a better roast in Liverpool. Great place"

"Its a hit and miss I guess, like with any other restaurants out there. We had a group date during valentines so we got a few dishes to share like olives, blue cheese croquette which i really loved), tabla de charcutteria which consisted of preserved meat cuts), table de queso, patatas bravas , gambas al ajillo one of my fave dish that night, you can even deep a bread on the sauces of the gambas), panceta de cerdo, grilled lamb chomps which we find it tough, so this one is a miss and is not a crowd fave in our table), arroz negro we loved this). As for our drinks we started with red sangria which dissappoint us as I think was been watered down so mucb that it does not taste like sangria at all then we moved with our choice of red wine. We ended our meal with a dessert which we really din't finish we just shared 2 dessert among ourselves the flan tasted bitter) and as for the chessecake its was just so so). Over all experince wes great, a great place to do a sharing food with friends and catch up. Service was ok."

"I would never normally leave a poor review, if I haven't enjoyed somewhere I just wouldn't return. However, due to the price of this particular meal I felt I had to leave some comments. Firstly, the menu wasn't what I had booked (3 courses and Prosecco for £45) there was a choice of the Festive menu at £55 for 3 courses or the al a carte. The setting itself was a bit disappointing. I appreciate it was in Harrods, but I expected it to be a bit more exclusive, for want of a better word. We were sat in a nice booth, but it was next to the walkway between the wine shop and the restaurant. It was also pretty hard to find in the maze that is Harrods. The staff were lovely and actually did give us a complimentary glass of Prosecco when I questioned the change in the menu. The low service score is due to the length of time we waited for our starters to arrive. I had booked the table for 5.30pm as we had a train to catch at 8.30pm, but as you only get a 2-hour timeslot anyway I thought this would be ample time. We did get there a bit late (as I said it was hard to find) but had ordered by 6.00pm. Our starters arrived about 6.50pm! The staff approached us twice to apologise for the delay and refilled our Prosecco glass, but by the time it came, and we had eaten it, it was past 7.00pm so we had to have our main and pudding in quick succession after the starter. We had also ordered a bottle of wine and I had to ask the server to put the lid back on the bottle so we could take it with us. I've no idea why it took so long to arrive as it wasn't really that full and all we had ordered was the soup and a cold salmon starter. The food was okay (a little bit cold if truth be told) but didn't reflect the price. The bill was £166 for 2 including service. I could have knocked off the service charge, but we were rushing to get away to catch the train, and as I said the staff were lovely. Overall, really disappointing."

"My husband and I had the most amazing meal at Burnt truffle. We started with the fish soup and then shared the aged sirloin which came with peppercorn sauce, the best Parmesan chips I have ever tasted and delicious carrots. We ordered a side of broccoli too which was cooked to perfection. We finished with a chessboard and the honeycomb ice cream. Every element of the meal was cooked perfectly and was so tasty. I am not a great meat eater but the sirloin was delicious. I have not tasted food as good. The staff were attentive, pleasant and helpful. There was a new manager who ensured our evening went to plan, he checked in on us and was really a pleasure to speak to. I could not recommend this place highly enough. We will be back! Thank you Burnt Truffle. It was a great all round experience."

"rude and racist bouncers worst experience in the city ever. I visited the blues kitchen shoreditch on the 5th march 2022. I came with 9 other friends at 23 o'clock this evening with prepaid tickets. the bouncer at the door required ids, although most people in the waitsnake did not show their ids and bouncer did not get on the board. I was compliant, and I showed my ID to her colleagues. he said I should be more polite next time. "Wouldn’t recommend going. Felt rushed through the meal and got asked to leave when I hadn’t even finished my food…. But it was a Saturday right? That makes it ok?! Confirmed the booking and let the restaurant know we were on our way from the text messages you receive. We arrived on time and still had to wait for a table, the table was part of the bar area, a very small table that didn’t even have cutlery on it. The service was horrendous. The woman who served us was rude and pretty much stroppy- you could tell she didn’t want to be there. She removed the plates before either of us finished our food, she didn’t even ask. As it was a birthday celebration she did bring some doughnuts over but said she couldn’t sing so lit the candle and walked away but said it was on the house so don’t worry… and again we hadn’t finished eating but the plate got taken away. The waitress proceeded to bring the bill and brought over the card machine before we had even looked at it. Then asked us to leave because the next booking was waiting, after making us wait for our table, barely even finishing our food and the appalling service I would not recommend going. However, the bar staff who served us our drinks whilst we waited for the table were lovely."

"I was in a hen night. pre booked a karaoke stand, which was our first time absolutely amazing, although a little expensive 1 hour was not really long enough. Perhaps the pricing could be considered to look at the size of the club that is available space, in sure they could fit a few more stands in as they were extremely popular. club itself was good, not too busy, for a Saturday night. helpful employees good security. lift for various etagens. had a very pleasant time. bar waiter service good. good toilet facilities were clean everywhere. worth a visit."
