"Had our first experience dining at Liquor and Burn. Great little spot in the Northern Quarter. Food was fantastic if you enjoy a little spice! We had plenty of frozen margaritas while we were there too. They’re two for one margaritas offer is definitely something to take advantage of. However L&B is more of a pub/bar vibe, not a place to go if you’re after a fancy restaurant. Eg: sticky tables, loud atmosphere, etc. but my friends and I will be going back for sure!"

Nice vibe, amazing music and service! Would definitely recommend. Food was incredible but be warned very spicy! Our server was really friendly and helpful. My only downside was that the ripped tables looks a bit scruffy.

This is a great restaurant Californian themed Mexican food with a twist. Tacos and quesadillas were both really excellent. Providing a dipping sauce with the tacos is genius. My only quibble would be that all the tacos were served on flour tortillas I think they'd have tasted even better on corn.

Best Mexican food I have had in a long time. A little confusing when you first go in as downstairs is bar only and service upstairs, staff downstairs not very welcoming left us awkward at the door. However, wait staff upstairs faultless, really quick service, good value for money and super tasty food!! Music a little loud for a sit down meal but understand this is to fit with the drinking vibe of the place. We didn’t struggle but people hard of hearing would.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
