I can cook this and not harm the taste of the food. it was just delicious! there is an extensive menu, and I would definitely recommend trying the specialties. the beverage menu is also extensive and set server very friendly recommended a bottle of wine that was perfectly paired to our meal. the waiting staff was attentive and offered an amazing service. "We were very disappointed with the food at this restaurant. Having spent 5 weeks in Italy, including Sicily, last year, our expectations were quite high. The arancini lacked flavor and were much smaller than the ones we had in Sicily. The porcini mushrooms in the pasta seemed to be frozen, as they were soggy and did not have the delicious flavor of fresh or dried ones. The pasta had an overwhelming amount of tomato sauce, making it quite boring. Even the ravioli seemed like it could have been store-bought, drowning in tomato sauce. The highlight of our meal was the goat cheese salad, which was delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great."

"My experience with the 'penny pizza' promotion at this restaurant was not very positive. Despite being a good deal, one of the pizzas arrived much later than the others, an extra pizza was charged on the bill, and the quality of the pizzas was disappointing. The toppings were dry and overly sweet, and the crust lacked chewiness. While I have enjoyed drinks at this venue before, I will not be dining there again."

"Great evening, nicely spaced tables, friendly staff, food good. The one issue I had was with the quid in the main dish….there were a couple of long thin strands of clear ribbon type substance which caught in my throat…thought it may be something left from the quid cleaning/prep that should have been removed??…. "If you’re looking for a lovely lunch/dinner in Bath, we can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. After reading many brilliant reviews, we decided to give it a try. We received wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable service straight away from Giovanni which was great. We had two gluten intolerant members of our party and he was great with clearly explaining what we could safely have. The quality of food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, and the chef cooked everything to perfection. We are real foodies, so we know good quality where we see it, hats off to where they supply their produce. We had steak for mains, cooked in the kitchen and also a block to finish off one at the table which was great fun! Absolutely making steak, best we’ve had in a long time. We absolutely loved our lunch, couldn’t fault anything and would definitely return on a future visit to bath. Thankyou for a such wonderful lunch, p.s the Malbec was outstanding!"

"This always looks busy at lunch time however we went on a Friday evening and it was very quiet. The food wasn’t great, the garlic bread had definitely been microwaved, as had my pasta dish. The pizza was at least freshly cooked but the toppings were dry. The service was very quick but made us feel very rushed, the minute i finished they took my plate, despite the fact my partner was still eating! When she took our starter plates we were asked if we wanted our mains now or wanted a break. On the assumption that our food would be cooked fresh we said now expecting a minute wait or so but she brought it out within seconds. We were in and out in about minutes having had a drink, starter and a main each. Not the relaxed and fresh meal we were hoping for! As I said, it’s always busy in the day so maybe the food and service is better then but I would definitely not recommend for dinner"

"We discovered this bar while searching for a spot to grab a quick drink before dinner during the week leading up to Christmas. It’s conveniently located just off the bustling Royal Mile, making it a pleasant choice for us. Overall, the drink selection was impressive, and the staff were polite and attentive. Unfortunately, we couldn't have dinner here as it was fully booked, but we saw plenty of groups arriving and leaving. It looks like a lovely restaurant, so we definitely plan to give it a try on our next visit to Edinburgh."

"We found ourselves caught in a sudden rainstorm early in the evening while walking up Lothian Road on our way back to our hotel, so we decided to seek shelter and have dinner at Bar Italia. We were initially expecting a mediocre meal, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy when we arrived at 7:00 PM, but fortunately, they had a table available for two. The atmosphere was charming and very Italian, with a cozy and lively vibe. We ordered the Burrata Caprese, a couple of mains (the Crab Ravioli was amazing!), dessert, and two drinks each. Our bill came to around £84, which we felt was very reasonable given the quality of the food and how delicious everything tasted. It was a fantastic discovery and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to the city from Aberdeen."

Terrible issue with flies not enjoyable having to keep swatting them away from Food and drinks. Service charge added to bill ...why , it should be customers choice to tip, not to be made to feel uncomfortable if you don't Want to. Tipping used to be because it was poorly paid, minimum wage changed that, I did ask if the servers got the tip and they do and the server said they work hard so deserve it, ummm they are being paid to work hard. Seems to have had a big change of staff, unfortunately put of going again."

"This was my third time going to Passo but first time dining inside the restaurant and the vibe/atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, and nicely decorated. I originally had the booking for the week before but I came down with the flu and the staff were incredibly understanding on the day and moved my booking for the week after. The service was great and quick we got a starter to share between the 4 of us so we could try the dish, so the server added an extra piece on the dish so we could all have one. The dish did not disappoint definitely order the Mac Cheese balls! The food is reasonably priced for where the restaurant is situated (just outside Old Street station), and good portion sizes! I love a hearty and filling pasta dish and it did not disappoint 3 of us went for the seafood linguine (so flavoursome). In the Summer, I went here for a bottomless brunch in the terrace and it was a fun/lively atmosphere with bottomless negroni and pasta! Great spot for date nights or dinner with friends/family!"

"The reception is located on the ground floor was unattended so we had a flight to the bar where the staff seemed surprised to see customers. After we finally sit, the service was acceptable, but certainly not calculated up to the prices. The menu is very limited. Only seven nets, one of which was fish and chips... hardly our idea of fine dinning. The lobster and steak were wildly overpriced. Nothing we had was bad, but nothing was really good, given the prices. All in all, one of the least unforgettable meals we had in Edinburgh for over a week. Given all the good choices in the old town, I would not suggest Victor Carina Continis Cannonball Restaurant."

"Went there with a friend. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, just the price is a bit expensive. I had salmon as main and then Nutella profiteroles for dessert. Salmon is perfectly cooked. Barely cooked without destroying the fine texture of the salmon. Side plate with cherry tomatoes, clams, and potatoes chunks with butter and sea salt makes the taste never boring. Nutella profiteroles has a cookie on top of vanilla ice-cream on a freshly bake fluffy cake. Sprinkled with freshly roasted hazelnut with a small cup of hot chocolate to drizzle on your dessert. When eat with all portion together, the crisp cookie provides biting texture, vanilla ice cream gives the sweet and cold sensation, immediately follow by hot fluffy cake, roasted hazelnut, and chocolate liquid. The perfect balance of hot and cold sensation from ice cream and freshly bake cake gives the tongue in bliss. The sweetness of the vanilla ice cream is balanced with slightly salty cookie, making it never dull to eat every bite. The waiters and waitresses couldn’t be nicer. My friends plate was not how he wanted. She properly sent it back to the kitchen, and kept us informed how long it would take so we are at ease. Overall, great friendly service, and delicious food. Only comes with a high bill at the end."

"I find it amusing that they sent an email asking for a review of a restaurant that is closed. They couldn’t even process our reservation, nor did they notify us beforehand. In fact, they even sent a reminder the day before our planned visit. I wouldn’t be so bothered if it weren’t for the fact that I specifically booked this restaurant through OpenTable on the Pasha website to celebrate a birthday. Thankfully, we were able to find another restaurant to eat at, but this experience has left me feeling hesitant about using OpenTable again. I will likely avoid this service in the future whenever I can."
