"The wait to place our order was quite long, and it took even longer for our food to arrive. We ordered a shared starter, which came along with the two main courses. After we paid and were about to leave the restaurant, staff approached us to see if we wanted to charge the meal to our room card—this felt quite intrusive. To add to our disappointment, a service fee of £7.50 was added automatically to our bill. On a positive note, the food was good, and the staff were friendly and humble."

"You always get a friendly warm greeting from the team at SASSO and unlike most places there is little churn in in the core team a sure sign of a well run establishment. My wife and I shared special wild boar pasta. Sasso 's pastas are delicate and more refind than most as was the case here, however for wild boar in we thought it a touch under powered. Mains were far more successful . My other half who has a smaller appetite had a 2nd stater Mussels which she declared superb large juicy and succulent. My filet steak was perfectly cooked for me with a tasty truffle/ mushroom sauce. No room for puds, but we did try a variety of red and white wines by the glass. A good test for any restaurant is how good are the house wines or wines by the glass. They are excellent at SASSO. If you live in the Harrogate area like good food and have not tried Sasso you should you could be missing out"

"Honestly this place needs to hire friendlier staff. Two of them were completely unsuitable, especially one of the managers on the floor. Couldn't wait to walk away within seconds of serving the table. I mean when you ask someone how the food is, at least try and pretend you're listening to the answer! When we ask for black pepper....we mean freshly ground pepper....not the cheap stuff you leave on the table. Food took a while to arrive (25mins) when we asked for everything (starters and mains) to come at the same time. I don't know why you get penalised whenever we go for this option but that was a let down. Food was well cooked and enjoyable but the experience was not great. And back to the useless manager when we ask for a receipt after paying with a credit card, we want the credit card receipt not the pre printed bill with the list of items ordered."

"The rebuilt conservatory is more solid than the previous version, and so it's now warmer and more comfortable. Its dark colour means it's also less visually intrusive at night. The service team are yet to gel into a smooth running operation one of our glasses of wine was only correct on the third try but they are friendly and eager to please, and seem aware that many guests are returning regulars keen to try out the new format. The longer menu is very welcome, and the kitchen seems to be doing as good a job as it used to."

"The restaurant downstairs is cute but small, with only 24 seats where you are very close to your neighbor's table. The service was nice, starting with a bottle of cold water and good fresh bread. Unfortunately, the wine selection was limited to varietal with no mention of producer or vintage year, which was disappointing for serious wine drinkers. The pizza margarita was good, although it could have had more flavor. We were not impressed with the linguine vongole as the clams were not in the shell, making it difficult to discern their freshness. The clams did not taste fresh and the sauce was overly oily with little clam juice or flavor. Prices were fair, but we are unlikely to return based on our experience."

"I thought the service was first class and you were made to feel comfortable from the moment you sat down. The food was delicious and perfectly presented. Value is good considering the ambiance and restaurant. I would recommend it and I will definitely be going again. Also just a heads up if you decide to go on a Friday make sure it’s with a group of friends or like a bit of loud music. Singer was great but not if you want a quiet one."

"Two friends and myself visited Fratelli's last week It was absolutely lovely. We were all pleased with our meals. Spaghetti Carbonara is a particular favourite of mine, and it didn't disappoint! In fact I would say it was one of the best I've ever had. The food was served in good time, was all really tasty, and the restaurant was lovely. "when we went to this place, my wife and I discovered a damp and muffy smell. it reminded me of a wet dirty mop! we were there for the pizza with the farewell and took place while we waited for them to be cooked. on the first look the place looked very nice, but while I was on our order, I could take a closer look. with more accurate inspection the decor and decoration was very sad," and in the necessity of improvement. we were glad that we were there for one. my pizza was very good, but a little burned at the edges, a part of the teigs at the edges was burned black. the pizza of my wife, however, was not cooked in the middle and the teig there was of a sloppy resistance. will not go back there."

"Our evening was a delightful and relaxed experience thanks to the excellent food and service. It was our first visit with friends, and it did not disappoint; we’re already looking forward to trying the brunch menu! The timing between the courses was just right for us, but if you’re looking for a quick meal, I’d recommend letting the staff know. This isn’t a critique; the service was delivered in a very professional, Italian manner—relaxed and unhurried. "Lovely experience overall, our waiter was friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations for food. We went straight after work (just before 6.30 on a Thursday) so it was a little busy but not overcrowded. A mixed crowd as there were families, couples, friends solo diners younger kids were a little loud but not a huge issue I’d say as everyone’s chatting! Great value for money overall as we had wine, starter and a big main which was all under £25 would recommend and would go again!"

"we have never set ourselves right, because the button movement on the reservation leads them to the spaghetti house on the goodge street, not to the restaurant on the sicilian avenue. the goodge street restaurant could not accommodate us (and were very rude) and we had no time to make it into the other restaurant, because of a theatre booking. we tried to ring, but they didn't pick up! eating and ambiente may be great, but their phone, email and communication skills are appalling. a nice pub that made a nice cake. not the pasta we had hoped for!"

"we cried into the copper band on the off-change of gettin a table for 2, we were greeted by the beautiful ramanda, she greeted us with a beautiful smile and a really inviting attitude, we were shown our sitting, a menu and asked what we want to drink, a very pleasant young barkeeper mixologe served us our drinks, I was served my gin, how it should be served and just how it should be trimming. we choose our food and we were thrilled by the presentation and the aromen in each and every dish....we will certainly be back again, and all thanks to the wonderful co-workers especially ramanda, which is a real advantage for this restaurant, in front of house personnel as they are rarely found in local restaurants, we did not get the rest of the co-workers name, maybe it would be an idea to have staff with a name very pleasant evening. go raibh maith agus beannacht."

"First time at the restaurant. We had cancelled our original reservation. The restaurant reached to ask why. I was impressed by that personal customer service so we booked for another night. We had the Burrata and ‘Nduja Topped Foccacia, the Lasagna and their signature dish, Penne Giardiniera. My husband and I both thought those dishes were average and probably wouldn’t order them if we go back. There are many other interesting dishes we would try though. The service is excellent and we hat was very nice. Some of their baked goods look good and we’d like to try breakfast there."

"It seems we chose a quiet night to dine there, being midweek, but the restaurant still had a nice atmosphere. Menu choice was ample and the food was very enjoyable seafood linguine and chicken saltimbocca as our main courses. But what made the evening most enjoyable was Joanne, the waitress who was absolutely charming and could not do enough to please us despite her serving every single table in the restaurant that evening. What a delight she is, and hopefully a much treasured and appreciated member of Carluccio’s Chester team."

"The restaurant was extremely quiet and the main dishes took a long time to be served. When they finally arrived, the side dishes were cold, which was surprising considering there were only 6 people in the restaurant. The steak was flavorful but a little tough. The service was not very good, as we had to repeatedly ask for water. The staff was accommodating in taking items off the bill for being cold, but overall I would not return to this restaurant."

"My wife and I make it a point to have a meal out at least once a month. Our previous experiences at this restaurant have been very good. We started with appetizers as usual, but when I ordered a medium rare filet steak, it came out well-done. I was disappointed to hear the staff try to convince me that it was cooked to the correct temperature. I shouldn't have to explain the difference between medium rare and well-done. Eventually, they replaced my steak with a medium rare one, but only after my wife had finished her meal."
