"I chose this restaurant as the menu wasn't too expensive and is located within easy reach of the Albert Hall. I would say our waiter James seemed to be having a bad day and really struggled to smile. Cheer up James, it might never happen! I was surprised by the 13.5% service charge which is the highest I've seen but perhaps that's a sign of the times. Would I go again? Well I couldn't argue with the quality of the tiramisu."

"I recently dined at this Italian restaurant with my family, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We tried a variety of dishes, each leaving a lasting impression. For the main course, the Numero Sei pizza stole the show. Its melt-in-the-mouth texture, soft interior, and perfectly crunchy crust made it a standout. Infused with Italian sausage, salami, and mushrooms over a fresh tomato sauce, and finished with bubbling mozzarella, this pizza was a symphony of flavours. The Melanzane alla Parmigiana offered another indulgent delight. The rich tomato sauce smothered the luscious aubergine, creating a mouthwatering combination that was enhanced by a generous layer of cheese. The Bufalina pizza, my personal choice, was a homemade masterpiece. The pizza boasted a perfectly cooked base – crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beautiful and creamy buffalo mozzarella, complemented by the deep basil, added layers of flavor that delighted the taste buds. We concluded our culinary journey with two distinct desserts. The Chocolat Souflé provided a sweet and decadent ending, while the Gnocchi con Nutella, featuring gnocchi filled with Nutella and vanilla ice cream, was a unique and delightful treat. Beyond the exceptional food, the staff contributed significantly to our positive experience. The team was not only lovely but also engaged with us, providing insightful recommendations. Their friendly demeanor added to the overall warmth of the restaurant. The ambiance and decor were equally praiseworthy. The beautiful restaurant created a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience. From the moment we entered, we felt the charm of the surroundings, making it a memorable evening for my family. "I booked a table for (arrived at and was not seated until My girlfriend and I ended up standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting, which was pretty disappointing. The place was packed with tables right next to each other, there...was no form of social distancing. I understand this is a difficult time for restaurants and hospitality, but health and safety should take precedence. I thought the food was tremendous and I have no issue with that, I was just very disappointed with the service. I like this restaurant and the interior was beautifully decorated but I hope the restaurant improves its service and complies with COVID guidelines. In future NOT ALL tables should be full, they should be distanced. Perhaps if customer’s tables are not ready, you should offer them a drink or acknowledge the fact that they are standing in the middle of the restaurant waiting. I have worked in hospitality for years and customer service is incredibly important, I hope that the owners make a note of this and make the necessary changes, as I would love to see Olive Garden succeed."

"Me and my partner decided to stop off in Bath after a weekend away and we were both very eager for a Sunday roast. After scrawling Bath's reddit page we stumbled on Chequers which definitely lived up to expectations. We grazed on Scallops for starters (which were eaten too quickly for a picture to be taken) which were incredibly succulent and had a lovely garlic butter glaze. My partner is only really a fan of Chicken in a roast so to have this was a big win as it's not often pubs do a Chicken roast. All the food was delicious and the servers were polite and efficient. Only downside is we had planned to sit in the pub and have a few drinks before our meal as we didn't really know the area but as it's quite small there was no space to acommodate us. Definitely worth a visit."

"I went to the restaurant at about 18:30 yesterday because I fancied some pasta and the reviews were very good. The food was delicious, especially the minestrone soup, but what set it apart was the staff. Each of them was friendly, efficient, and understood the importance of customer service. My favourite moment of the evening was when my dessert took a while to come, which to be truthful I didn 't mind as I was happily sitting by the radiator with a glass of wine recommended by one of the waitresses. The waiter finally appeared with it and, with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face, proclaimed, sorry, it took ages for the chef to cook your ice cream! In conclusion, the food and atmosphere are both excellent, and the staff are the cherry on top of the cake."

"we came in as we had a buy, get a free cream tee pass through the john Lewis Card app. After we had ordered ourselves and sat down, it took about 15 minutes until our tee was brought over us, what we thought was one, but when it was a Sunday afternoon and we reasonably understood. we thought the skorn would follow, but they didn't, in that we waited another 15/20 minutes and nothing came. our table was right next to the counter so we could see that many drinks/kissen/mice are placed on tablets and brought to other tables. we asked one of the servers if we could have the rest of our order, because he had not all come, she said (without apology offered) and checked our table number before she went back behind the counter. but nothing came back and after another 10 minutes we had enough and had to go as we needed to be elsewhere. we went and asked if we could have a refund because it was ridiculous that we would wait for over 45 minutes until a cake is placed on a plate. the dame at the time was the one who had taken our order and we asked where our food was when she passed, but she still looked out that we were angry! she went and got someone else, I guess her manager, who then told us that we could not have a refund because we used a voucher and included our ordering a free article. why that meant that we could not get a refund that I don't know, we didn't ask for the money for two things, just for those we paid. they said the best they could do was give us the objects, and within less than a minute they were piled. Amazing that it could be done so quickly, considering how long we had originally waited! I can't say if the actual cakes were good or not because we had to go somewhere else this afternoon, so they had to be left in a warm car for several hours and until we came home, the pots of the cream had to be thrown away and they had dried out."

"We started off with delicious sharing platters of vegetables, charcuterie, and cheese. However, we were disappointed with the main courses. The risotto was not warm enough and the lasagne was extremely heavy and unappetizing. The other dishes were average and not very inspiring. The service was inconsistent as we were attended to by multiple waitresses and had to wait too long for everything. We were unaware that the restaurant is located within a hotel, and during our meal, a large group of about 30 conference attendees came in and lined up for a buffet. This was not the experience we were expecting when we made our reservation at this restaurant."

"We had a wonderful lunch at B12! The staff greeted us warmly and the cozy interior made us feel comfortable. Some of us ordered the fish and chips, I had the chorizo hash, another had the pie, and someone else had the eggs Benedict. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as they were delicious! Although there was a slight delay in receiving our food due to our party of 6, it was worth the wait. The only small issue was that the potatoes in my dish tasted a bit old, but everyone else had no complaints. Overall, we loved our experience and would definitely come back again."

"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We decided to try the venison Wellington with dauphinoise potatoes, kale, and wild mushrooms, which we shared. As we waited, we enjoyed some homemade soda bread and butter, along with a complimentary glass of prosecco. The meal was superb and the flavors were delightful. For dessert, we both had creme brulee with rhubarb and shortbread, which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future."

"I went to the Old Manor for a lunch time meal with my wife and we were served quickly for our drinks... However, that 's where the positive experience ends I 'm afraid. When we received our drinks we were not prompted to order food and it took a good 10 minutes after drinks to get approached for ordering food. Do bear in mind there were only 3 tables on at this time so it wasn 't Busy . We only ordered mains and nothing else, expecting it to be quick. And thankfully we did only order Mains, because if we had ordered a 3 course we would have probably been there for over 2 hours. Fast forward 45+ minutes (Yes you read that right it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the Burger and the Chicken Escalope. It doesn 't take over 45 minutes during a quiet time to fry some chicken, chips and grill a burger. When we received our food the only positive really was that it was piping hot. After we started to dig in, the food was mediocre, nothing to rave about (Which is unfortunate, because The Old Manor used to be such a great place to get food. The waiting staff didn 't check up on us for the Post food delivery checkup so we ate it quickly and thankfully there were no issues with it. This isn 't the first time, however that we 've had service this bad. In the last 6 months we 've been 3 times, one of which was Mothers Day and even then it wasn 't the best and service was super slow. Overall it 's an understaffing issue, both front of house and kitchen. I do hope you take measures to improve the service here. As this has caused such a dampener on what should have been a lovely lunch with my wife. Do better."

"when we went to this place, my wife and I discovered a damp and muffy smell. it reminded me of a wet dirty mop! we were there for the pizza with the farewell and took place while we waited for them to be cooked. on the first look the place looked very nice, but while I was on our order, I could take a closer look. with more accurate inspection the decor and decoration was very sad," and in the necessity of improvement. we were glad that we were there for one. my pizza was very good, but a little burned at the edges, a part of the teigs at the edges was burned black. the pizza of my wife, however, was not cooked in the middle and the teig there was of a sloppy resistance. will not go back there."

"My friends and I did not even get the opportunity to enjoy our evening at Polpo due to poor response and terrible communication by the management team. 20 mums from my son’s nursery were all looking forward to an evening of food, drinks and conversation at Polpo. We called Polpo a month in advance, and spoke to someone who said they would be happy to host our gathering and would send a confirmation e-mail, menu and deposit form. We never received that e-mail. We called again two weeks later, and a third time a week after that... still, we could not get anyone from the Polpo team to send a confirmatory e-mail to us. We had to move the venue for our mums’ evening out because we had no confidence in the booking, which I think is a terrible reflection on and a real shame for Polpo. In this economy, one would think they would be pleased to host a group of 20 local mums who might do some free marketing for them via word-of-mouth recommendations. Instead, they have disappointed all of us, and they have lost a piece of significant business. None of which is good for their reputation."

"Dough is a pizzeria/restaurant run by Italians in the center of Bath. With many options for celiac, vegetarians and vegans, nobody will be disappointed; you can even choose the type of dough! They have white flour, whole wheat flour, corn flour… and the list goes on! During weekend it can get pretty busy, but even without a booking, they can find you a table in 10 minutes. The stuffed eggplant with tomato sauce was simply delicious, the sauce reminded me of the summers I spent with my brother at my grandma’s house, when after the beach, she was always making a simple pasta al sugo for lunch, with her tomato sauce that no one could ever match! If you are going to Dough you must try their pizza, period. The pizza parcel is filled with grilled zucchini, aubergines and vegetable cheese. The pizza dough is stone baked and crunchy at the ends and the melted cheese is to die for. Also, the prices are affordable and if you have a reusable bottle, they will refill it for you. Let’s hope they will open in London soon!"

"Upon arrival we were told to get drinks at the bar as the table wasn’t ready, however we sat at the bar for 10 minutes and nobody offered us drinks. Our table then became ready. Our waitress was very dismissive of our table of 8 for dinner on Saturday evening. We waited a long time for drinks, which is understandable as they were busy, but when ordering extras it was as if we weren’t allowed. Food was good, no complaints apart from one of our pizzas was “dropped” so brought to the table much later. We understand that accidents happen. When it came to clearing the table, we waited over 45 minutes after finishing eating for plates to be cleared, at which point we asked for the bill. We had earlier in the evening told the waitress that we were finished expecting her to clear, but she didn’t. Our starter plates were still on the table!! The bill came with a £30+ service charge which we chose not to pay. When the waitress found out we weren’t paying this, she seemed very unimpressed and walked off in a foul mood. We then saw her discussing our table with her colleagues. Not good service and definitely not worth the service charge on the bill. We left… plates still at the table! I would recommend the restaurant for the food aspect, but not for good or friendly service!"

"We arrived a few minutes before our 13:00 lunch reservation for 2 and waited by the door for someone to help us. After 5 minutes, I asked a waitress for assistance but she said she didn't speak English and would call the manager. Despite the manager noticing us from the bar area, we waited for another 5 minutes with no acknowledgment. As we waited, I witnessed an argument between the manager and a customer over a bill. It was clear that many tables had finished their meals and were becoming impatient with the lack of efficient service. One customer even warned me to think twice about eating there before leaving. The restaurant had a bad smell, likely from improper cleaning, and we were happy to leave without experiencing more."

"Clementina was a great host! She said it's great pizza and it was some of the best I've had. Kid had a mocktail (woodland fizz) and enjoyed it alot. They made a lovely fuzz over our son. He ordered a speciality pizza and it came out shaped as a fish which we loved as it reminded us of our very first holiday many years ago. What a special place except for the boys bathroom which had a broken lock lol. Tip was compulsory which we arnt used to but we would've left 10%. Prices were reasonable for the location of the restaurant. Overall four stars and a lovely family night."
