"Booked here for special meal for my sons 10th Birthday, I booked via Facebook messenger and my booking was all confirmed. However from the moment we walked in we had a feeling it was not going to be a great experience when the waitress had no record of our booking! After a lot of sighing and running backwards and forwards she finally seated us on a table for 4 (there were 5 of us! by the door and one of us had to squash on the end of the table not ideal. When I say she 'seated us ' I mean she barked at us just sit there . What a lovely way to treat your customers! So currently this month they are doing a 50% off food offer which would be great if they had actually had enough staff to deal with how busy they were, which I assume was due to this 50% offer. Surely if you put on an offer like this you should expect to be VERY busy and to staff accordingly...Not San Remo- 2 waitresses on with a full restaurant. Service was slow and very poor. Not welcoming at all, very abrupt and verging on rude when our orders were taken. Food was very slow to arrive around a 45 min wait for main course which when it did arrive food was bought out one plate a time which meant that 2 of us had almost finished by the time the rest of us got our meals. The garlic bread we ordered to come with the mains arrived just as we had pretty much finished eating! The absolute one and only plus was that the food was actually really nice when it did arrive. However, there are plenty of better places for great Italian food and good ambience in the area and the extremely poor service mean I would never consider returning here!"

"When I asked my wife where she wanted to go for dinner on her 50th birthday, she said Sapori. I offered to take her to the Ivy in Chichester or anywhere else, but she wanted to go to Sapori. Starters were ok. My wife ordered a Margarita Pizza with artichokes. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara. Pizza arrived, with anchovies and not artichokes. It was sent back. I then heard a waitress tell another 'the carbonaras are ready '. They then bought out four plates of carbonara and took them to tables. A short while later my wife 's pizza comes out followed by my carbonara. The sauce was all in the bottom of the plate, it was obvious it had been sat there under a salamander since the others had been ready. The sauce had a skin on it. I tasted the sauce and it didn 't taste of cheese, you couldn 't taste bacon. I called the waitress over and sent the dish back, explaining why I had done so. I wasn 't rude just not my way gets you nowhere . I was offered a replacement, but declined. Another waitress, I 'm assuming the manager, came to the table asking why I had sent it back. Her manner was over assertive, bordering mildly aggressive. I explained as I had done previously. She went to the kitchen and returned telling me the chef had tasted it and it was fine. I said I did not agree. I was then asked if I had mixed it up in the bowl ? I never realised a carbonara came with instructions I said I had not and explained again that it had been cooked with the others and had a skin forming. My wife finished her pizza, and I paid the bill and left. The waitress, two in fact, apologised. I said it was fine, not to worry. But here was the worst bit. As we left the restaurant, the manager shouted a sarcastic 'thank you ' from the kitchen. Why do I say that? No guests that left before had received the same, and the sarcasm was plainly obvious. Really nice upsetting my wife on her birthday. Everyone has a bad day at the office, but the manner of the manager was quite unpleasant. Eaten there several times before. There won 't be another"
