"A 5 minute walk from Old Street Tube station, this place is easy to miss. No big lights or imposing signs trying to attract your attention but instead signage and a front of house that simply blends in unassumingly with the surrounding area. Nice bar upstairs with plenty of seating and a relaxed and comfortable feel. The restaurant is downstairs and it has a wonderful homely feel to it. The staff are knowledge about both the food and drinks menu. We arrived late (we called to let them know) and even though there was a booking following us, they accommodated us and the food was promptly served and of course... tasty. I'm giving this place 3 stars as we only had mains (our fault for being late) but I'll be returning to sample all 3 courses and I'm expecting to give this little gem at least 4 stars "

"We enjoyed the pre-theater menu with the kids, and the children's menu was excellent. The service was outstanding, and the pre-theater menu included a lovely glass of Prosecco, which I typically don't enjoy, but this one was quite nice, especially thanks to my ticket booking offer. I had some delicious wings and a fantastic steak, while the kids opted for burgers. Everything was great, and we left very happy!"

"Ordered steak medium rare, came well done. Then had the server argue and try to tell us that our obviously well done steak was in fact medium rare. Plus the steak was 100 quid. Should have gone to goodman."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Glad we made a reservation . Very busy. Fun staff. Great food. We had an all in menu with 3 people. Included starter and heaps of meat, and a side each. Cheesecake and crumble were great for dessert. Place is easy to miss from the outside, very authentic in the inside. The only thing is acoustics. It easily gets very noisy. But great experience and would definitely come back."

"We went to this restaurant after looking for a place near Piccadilly Theatre for a birthday celebration before seeing Moulin Rouge. We had read positive reviews here and on Google, so we made a reservation for 5:30 before the 7:30 show. We were led down the steps to our table in the cozy, bustling space. A bottle of tap water was placed on our table along with the menus, and a staff member guided us through the menu, which was helpful. We decided to order the All In option, which was a great choice. We enjoyed the little amuse bouche starter bombes. The main course was impressive, especially for meat lovers. The chips were good, but the kale and parmesan side was a bit disappointing as the kale was too raw. We mentioned that it was a birthday celebration in our booking, and this led to a nice surprise. We were debating whether to order a starter in addition to the All In, and although we decided against it, our waitress Paulina overheard our conversation and added a mushroom on sourdough starter to our order as a complimentary gesture. It was a fantastic touch and we really appreciated it. We ended the meal with a delicious bread and butter pudding. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great service from Paulina and a staff that seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Plus, it was less than a 5-minute walk to Piccadilly Theatre. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

"Left here absolutely shellshocked. Had a wonderful meal and were just enjoying our coffees when the (presumably) owner stormed in and went to the kitchen and began screaming at the chef. It was awful, he was so aggressive, shouting and swearing in the kitchen loud enough for us to hear every single word. This went on for a good 4 minutes. No need for that sort of aggression and language whatsoever. The waitress was very embarrassed and kept apologising to us. We felt so uncomfortable we had to leave our coffees and just pay the bill and go. Such a shocking end to a lovely night. Won’t be back."

"Very welcoming staff. Service quick and efficient. Good choice of menu. We chose scallops and cod cheek dishes for starters. The former was outstanding, the cod cheeks in coating a little dry but still enjoyable. Both of us had the halibut dish as mains with sides of greens and Comber potatoes. Absolutely first rate. The bean cassoulet and asparagus were perfect accompaniments. Only minor criticism was the deep, small bowl the course was served in. It made it hard to eat the food easily. The desserts we chose were pear tartin and the chocolate fondant special. Again first rate dishes. The young chef, Peepa, in charge of the desserts should be congratulated for creating such wonderful dishes. The fondant was one of the best I have ever tasted. Overall a superb meal at a reasonable price."

"AVOID!!! Myself and my family decided to come and eat at KORI Bournemouth as it’s a fairly new restaurant. Also we are trying to support new and small businesses. HOWEVER we had an awful experience. I was with my husband and my 5 year old non verbal autistic son, my little boy was a little unsettled and upset. I tried to calm him down. We placed a large order of food and drinks, ranging from starters and mains. Once all our food arrived we were asked to leave the restaurant. The owner said my sons behaviour was stopping new customers from coming in as well as disturbing customers in his restaurant. HOWEVER it was on my family plus 1 single guy in the whole restaurant. The whole time we were there no one came to the restaurant. I agreed to leave and asked for the bill. I also explained my son is autistic and the restaurant was empty which was a reflection on his business not my sons behaviour. Also to add I found hair in my rice, I politely moved it to one side and did not say anything as I’m not the type to make big things out of something small or upset people, now thinking about it maybe I should of questioned the hygiene part of his restaurant. I hardly touched my food as we were asked to leave and it completely affected my appetite. I completely understand that sometimes kids crying can be a little distracting or annoying HOWEVER at the time we were at the restaurant it was only my family and 1 other person. It’s hard enough being a parent to an autistic child, I was really upset and we felt discriminated. This place is unhygienic and has awful customer service . For these reasons being and my overall experience, I now understand why the restaurant was empty."

"This is a hidden gem. Foodies are usually right in avoiding hotel restaurants, but don’t miss this one. Quiet, intimate, with outstanding food and service. Manager Pedro Santos is top notch. He loves his job. You will be treated like family and every detail is covered. Service by Ana was impeccable. We shared an order of sea bream ceviche. Outstanding! Then we each had the signature salad. All the vegetables cooked to perfection. Baby beats, onions, sweet potatoes with perfect balance of crunch and tender. So good. Entree was the Azore Tuna. Tender, moist, delicious. Tremendous meal. You will not be disappointed."

"This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Woking! I had never been to Woking or this establishment before, and I'm so glad we chose to dine here. The food is excellent, and the staff are polite and friendly. The restaurant itself looks fantastic, creating a lovely atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Even though it was a quiet Sunday lunch, the presentation and quality of the food were exceptional and didn't disappoint at all."

"We dined there on a Friday night, and although it wasn't our first visit, I felt it was time to share how great this place is. I'm quite particular about my steak, but this restaurant consistently delivers. While it may not be the cheapest steak in the city, it is absolutely worth the price. I highly recommend giving this place a try, whether it's steak night or just a regular evening. The food is truly exceptional!"

"Hoping this was a bad night in the kitchen but honestly I was very disappointed. The Korean burger was tiny, the slaw was missing a dressing and the chips were sparse. The Korean chicken was lacking in anything Korean about it and very dry. My daughters steak was very fatty and not at all tasty. But the worst were the glasses! Filthy dirty. The chef did prepare extra fillets of chicken but there was nothing Korean about it (we've been to Korea Street food was better). I do have to say when we pointed out the issues, the staff were apologetic and the staff were the best thing about the experience. Sadly they missed out on a big tip due to the other issues. BTW the pizzas looked the best for taste and value! Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"

"since my first meal in the bake house I am back for more! I have experienced breakfast there, lunch and dinner, both take and dip, and the service is absolutely great. I arrived very close to the closing time once and still the cook turned the grill and friteur again to accredit me! eating is fresh, appetit and very well presented. the decor is funny, pleasant and welcoming! there is a lot of hot and cold food English, American and Greek. beautiful selection of tees including my favorites, redbush tee, which I have not yet seen in another restaurant. the restaurant is very clean and spacious and I was so comfortable at the place, even after I had finished my meal, I was not going in a hurry and a bit to stay! the personal is very friendly and very simple and fascinating to conversate. I recommend definitiw the bake house for great meals, great service and just to be a whole place! 5 stars timeless* angel"

"As always a treat to visit Chilled morning drinks and food, little card game with my son and great but relaxed service. Never feel hassled or rushed. Had the beetroot borini, was beautiful and the boy fancied a hot chocolate and cake which he demolished. "Let’s start with the good. Menu is good and our server was very nice. The rest was just awful. My wife ordered a salad with extra tomatoes. The salad shows up with 1/2 a spoonful of tomatoes. She also ordered broccoli as a side. It shows up cold. I ordered a French Dip sandwich. The prime rib was so undercooked it was disgusting. I asked for well done crispy fries. I received lukewarm undercooked fries. I ordered coleslaw. After mentioning that it didn’t come out with my meal, it comes 15 minutes later. We asked to speak with the manager. She gives us a $25 voucher for the next time (which is useless since we’re traveling and don’t have a location in our state). She also gives us a free piece of chocolate cake with ice cream. My wife asked to leave the ice cream off. The cake shows up with ice cream. The chocolate cake was some strange concoction that tasted like mush. This was certainly the worst restaurant that I’ve been to in 10 years. No exaggeration… just awful"

"This place is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The crew is very attentive and the food they place on your table is so flavorful. I never decline to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended."

"I started with the cucumber avant-garde, which was surprisingly hard to describe, even after tasting it, but the flavors were incredible. The green curry fried chicken was also exceptional; it was bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we had the pig cheeks, which were delightful, and the rump steak, which was truly unbelievable! It was so tender it practically melted in my mouth and was cooked to perfection. Plus, it was one of the largest steaks I've ever been served—two of us struggled to finish it! I really should have asked for a doggy bag because it would have made for fantastic sandwiches the next day. Though we didn’t have much room left for dessert, I couldn't resist trying the plum tart, which was absolutely delicious. The wine was very reasonably priced for its quality and available by the glass. I'm already looking for excuses to be in Dumfries on a Thursday or Friday again so we can come back!"
