"It's only been open for about six weeks, but I've seen nothing but good reviews for the Rosylee Tearooms. We went on Saturday for an early lunch. The sun was out on Stevenson Square and even Manchester was looking at its best for a change. It didn't even really feel like England, more like a European city Square, well almost . We sat outside, next to a large table of friendly and high spirited Dutch Manchester United fans, which added to the unreal nature of it. The sun was really shining on us, and everyone was in fine spirits. I didn't even mind when our neighbours started playing Michael Bolton on a little stereo. I had a look inside, they've done a great job, it's totally different...read more"

"Mr S and I had come down to the King's Road at the weekend to pick up any last minute new shoes dresses bikinis necessities for our trip to South Africa. Honestly, I was so excited for our trip that I was nearly bursting at the seams. I have a countdown app on my phone that I looked at everyday, as well as checking the weather for our destination and looking at the different hotel websites about 500 times! I'd booked Manicomio for our shopping day owing to it's perfect location, the calm oasis that is Duke of York Square, plus I fancied Italian food. For starter, Mr S chose smoked tuna which was delicious, light and not overly salty No, for once that's not salmon that you see, but a...read more"

"Terrible experience. Table booked for 9pm but when we arrived it wasn't ready. They led us to the bar to wait there but the bar was full. So they seated us in the DJ booth for over 15 minutes. There were menus on the tables but no one came to take our order. The music was blasting so we couldn't have a conversation. Eventually we got our table. We ordered and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible as we couldn't talk. Why management are trying to turn a restaurant into a club is beyond me. There were a lot of older folks around and I don't think that was their vibe either. Food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't order the burger again."

"The food here was lovely. Everything was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. The dessert I had was one of the best things I've ever tasted. Our waiter was exceptionally nice and friendly, which is often uncommon in London (in comparison with the north of the country), he made jokes, gave us advice and enquired about why we were in London. And the atmosphere was great too. This was my second time here and I would definitely return."

"Just off Princess street in town, I made a visit for dinner around 8ish on a Friday evening with my boyfriend. To my surprise the restaurant was very quiet and only had a few tables in but you can't judge the food by that. Also, the host asked if we were guests of the hotel we didn't even know there was a hotel there so to my assumptions this bar and grill is part of the Arora hotel (but it's nice that they kept the buildings separate) But other than that, we were seated quickly in a booth and had a few cocktails and wine to start while we decided what to eat... "we were at the varsity hotel, so we thought we were supposed to dive in one night. views were amazingly good eating, although portions were too big! the part was the slow service that we have waited for 45 minutes for our starter and how they can see the cook at work, it was easy to notice other later orders before us. the manager valter accepted our feedback and apologized. this was an informal and canteen style when I expected. the attempt to book here, instead of the ground floor steak restaurant, was the prospect. but I felt too informative for a hotel of this quality."

"I was disappointed with my latest visit to this restaurant. I have had great experiences here before, but this time was not as enjoyable. I made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night and was surprised to find no one to greet us at the door. The restaurant was nearly empty, aside from a large family group who had been there before us. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I was unimpressed. It's a shame because this restaurant had so much potential when it first opened."

"After booking I received a surprise call asking for a deposit which turned out to be non-refundable and despite only one person not making the booking we lost that deposit too. We were sat next to the open kitchen with constant deep fat frying smells which with a hangover stopped me eating my afternoon tea until they closed the kitchen, I had to take it home. They tried to take dietary requirements at booking but failed to meet half of them. It is a nice pub so we had a nice time but I don't think I'd have the afternoon tea again or want to sit in the restaurant. This is the second time I've been disappointed with afternoon tea there and several years apart. Scones were also shop bought and the cream had separated."

"We were in this facility several times. Although the service is very good, they had forgotten that it was our anniversary, although mentioned on the booking form. The place was very quiet and looked very tired. Food was acceptable, but not exciting."

"Visited this fine establishment for the first time in a while and was just as good as the last time I went, had the hot sesame beef and halloumi salad to start which is always a winner and the wife had the tempura prawns with sweet...chilli sauce which the waitress was happy to swap for the wasabi mayo. Mains I went for the mix grill and all the meats were cooked to perfection and I had the potato gratin which were lovely and garlicky and the coleslaw which was the best I’ve had, wife went for the sirloin which was huge cooked just how she likes it medium and like me had the gratin and coleslaw,by this time we were pretty stuffed but waited a bit and then we both went for the crème brûlée which were divine Washed down with a bottle of Prosecco and a couple of craft beers we left very much satisfied and will be visiting again very soon and have recommended my works have there xmas lunch there. The staff were very knowledgeable about any questions you had about the food and drinks and were very attentive without being overbearing, very rare these days as most places just wanna turn the tables over asap."

"Amazing waffles (very fluffy and quite large) that they’re just sweet enough and not sickly like they sometimes can be. Great service, nice coffee and dog friendly too. Lots of ice cream flavours to choose from (they also have vegan versions), served in freshly made waffle cones. Brilliant."

"Six of us visited here two nights running for dinner and had an outstanding experience. The host was congenial; and efficient in making sure the service was second to none. The staff were very friendly, responsive and attentive and the food was top notch. The home made steak and ale pies were a real stand out the best we've had anywhere for many a year. The chef also pulled out all the stops to make us a delicious apple crumble (taken off the menu) thanks to a neighbour who was able to supply the apples. We wish we were local we would certainly be regulars. IF you are in the area then this place is worth a detour. Here's to the next time"

"If you want a breakfast sandwich with an Italian twist, this is your place. If you wanted to enjoy a salad as you watch the world go by and interact with the lovely staff then this is your place. If you wanted to have a night out, enjoy a few drinks and watch the football with your mates, then this is your place. And if you love the Italian football team then the restaurant owners will probably consider you family . I have been a customer of this cafe/bar/restaurant for many years, they are almost always closed on Mondays, but if you're looking for a cosy place with a lovely atmosphere and great service as well as food? Then this is your place."

"Lisa’s is one of those inconspicuous slightly hidden restaurant gems where nothing on the menu seems over the top, yet every dish is done with love, care and attention to finshing details. And if you’re lucky enough to come in the live music evenings, you’re in for a treat. Probably the most endearing place in Portobello Road."

"on the last day of my 4-day trip to london was booked a afternoon. nice that I did. antonin the server was about fantastic. he served us not only and fired us with our luggage while we enjoyed some hours there. he also gave us some good tips for our. extra after paris. they have turned a sandwich for us to another kind. the scones were absolutely delicious and the best species I had. the baked was in order. the tee was ok too. but I enjoyed the environment. So I'd go back here, anyway."

"Popped in because Mum wanted coffee in the sunshine and ended up staying for dinner. The pub is light and airy, with good selections of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The menu is varied with a mix of classics and more modern dishes, beautifully prepared and presented by a friendly and helpful staff. The garden is marvelous with a long stretch of lawn amid tall trees, and a small play area with a climbing frame. I would most heartily recommend it, and intend to return many times in the future."

"We originally travelled to Swansea for a gig but was cancelled, so we booked the Rasoi as a last minute thing, I hadn't heard of it before, but was really pleased we did. The minute we walked in we were welcomed by the staff and they were very friendly. The atmosphere and restaurant was great, the Christmas tree was up and looked very festive. The food was amazing. I can't fault this place. We will definitely be back Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Very clean, spacious room with comfy bed, all the facilities we’d needed. We went there for one of my friend’s 40th I mentioned that after the booking and asked if possible to get a lake view room. They put a kind birthday note aswell in the room on our arrival which was very sweet. The staff from the staff at the bar&restaurant to the reception) was exceptional, kind and polite, went above and beyond the expectations to make us feel comfortable, any minor issues was resolved very professionally and on the spot. We had an extremely pleasant stay here and I will definitely go back with my partner for a spa weekend aswell we didn’t have time for the treatment with my friend this time) all in all was a great stay"
