"We had made a reservation for afternoon tea at the Harlequin Restaurant in the Kingsway Hall Hotel during the Christmas period through Open Table. However, we discovered the day before our reservation that the hotel was closed for refurbishment and would not reopen until 2019. Despite our efforts, we were unable to find another suitable afternoon tea venue near Covent Garden at such short notice, so we had to change our plans entirely. It was disappointing to see the hotel closed when we passed by, and although I notified Open Table of the situation the day before, it was still a letdown to have our Christmas day out spoiled. We did receive a response from Open Table on the day of our reservation with an apology and additional points awarded, but it did not fully compensate for the inconvenience."

Very quiet on a Saturday night but still took a long time to get served, they got our order wrong so they took it away. When it came back, it had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp so was dry and cold. Pretty disappointing.

I had a great time dining at the Harlequin Restaurant. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and pleasant. The English lunch menu was excellent, and the staff was courteous and friendly. It was a great value for the price. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Our reservation was not found, so I had to show them my email confirmation to be seated. Despite booking a festive menu with mulled wine, we were not provided with any wine and were charged a higher price. The sandwiches were not worth the money we spent. I would not recommend having afternoon tea at this establishment. View menu

on the last day of my 4-day trip to london was booked a afternoon. nice that I did. antonin the server was about fantastic. he served us not only and fired us with our luggage while we enjoyed some hours there. he also gave us some good tips for our. extra after paris. they have turned a sandwich for us to another kind. the scones were absolutely delicious and the best species I had. the baked was in order. the tee was ok too. but I enjoyed the environment. So I'd go back here, anyway.

Our trip to the Kingsway Hotel was honestly perfect. We went as a group of 6 for afternoon tea for my girlfriends 21st and she adored it. The food was just right, nice selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries. Also very good value as we was allowed top ups on scones and pasties. Also want to thank the staff for being helpful with the sandwiches as we had someone who was cheese intolerant and they sorted that out superbly. Overall this experience was wonderful and me and my girlfriend will be booking a room there over the Christmas period.
