"We had a really pleasant Saturday evening at The Leigh Bistro. The quality of the food was excellent, the price very reasonable and the customer service was great. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are extremely accommodating, especially the owner who took time to chat to us which we appreciated. Not a swanky, pretentious restaurant but an informal bistro with delicious home-cooked food and a good atmosphere the night we visited. I wish the new owner every success. We will be back very soon without doubt."

"This is my go to place for a meal, situated on the trendy and vibrant West Hampstead High Street. The menu offers a mouthwatering selection of starters, Persian specialist mains, great steak options and various world cuisine alternatives. Chicken dishes like Chelo Jooje Kebab and Baghali Polo which is a Persian specialty rice served with broad bean and dill beside Sea Bass are really good. For me the Persian omelette is a special mention an amazing dish to start your day with, which you can dive into with piping hot ciabatta. It’s the place for you if you like traditional food with a big range of texture and flavor. The drinks menu is robust whether you want to enjoy your classic red to white wine, favourite coctails or if you want to just go with something hot. Camden Hells, Camden Pale Ale and Pravha are on tap. This is a family run restaurant; and it is a good match for family gatherings. The owner is warm and thoughtful, and he will check on the guests to ensure their experience is enjoyable. The staff is attentive and prompt. I see a lot of families enjoy a weekend meal together, with added ease for young children as they have high chairs that help. On many occasions there are social gatherings, pre game meals and drinks on big match days. It is also suited for casual dining or an intimate couple’s dinner. The restaurant has many regulars who visit almost on a daily basis. They welcome pets with dedicated pet friendly tables inside. Indoors is a mix of thematic handmade artwork, handwritten signs and prints. You can sigh off the day as you relax on comfy chester sofas with your favourite drink in hand, with cozy lighting throughout. Their tables in front of the restaurant on the street get an amazing amount of sun on bright days; so much so that I’ve seen people almost sunbathing while enjoying a refreshing pint on the side that is also when they realize the restaurant is very close to West End Green park, which offers bountiful, relaxing green views in an urban backdrop. It’s important to remember that no business and certainly no restaurant is flawless and every establishment has bad days; slight delays and hiccups on very busy days are normal. The restaurant is located in a busy and narrow street; so parking could be challenging. All of these do not change the fact that you will have a great time here, and I would definitely recommend it as a nice place to go with friends, family and partner. Do try their steaks !"

"Brilliant food and a lovely small restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We both had the chargrilled asparagus and artichoke salad from the special board, it was outstanding. For mains we both had pizza, I had the ham and mushroom and my Mrs had a plant based one. Absolutely delicious obviously top quality ingredients. I finished off with tiramisu which was really good. The staff were all fantastic which was the icing on the cake. Thank you Well worth a visit."

"We tried some Persian food which were both delicious. We were confused with the chicken dish because we thought we'd see pomegranates and walnuts and the sauce made the chicken look like lamb. But both dishes were interesting and delicious. The waitress was really helpful and service was excellent. Would come again. It would be good if there were some vegetarian options on the Persian mains (if I recall correctly, only an omelette on the menu was vegetarian). I had to cancel a previous attempt to dine here because of a vegetarian friend."

"Sunday 10 September 2023 (evening dinner The meal was cooked perfectly and was extremely tasty. The restaurant setting was lovely and cozy, which made a perfect setting for our evening dinner. We loved it. My wife ordered Confit Pork Belly I had Steak Frites (Truffle coated fries very yummy. Both meals were superb : Our waitress Jee (Jessica was just Fantastic Polite, Friendly and a true Professional. With attention to detail without any fuss, Jee really made our evening very enjoyable. A real talent and credit to your Restaurant. Your waiter Ben (very cool Black Red hair was also first class and took care of us very well. Great team work with Jee. "We are not adventurous eaters and our waitress was very pleasant and patient with us explaining what was in the dishes, how they were cooked etc. We sat in a booth, nice and private so we could have a conversation. An appetizer was brought out for us to nibble on, flatbread, dip and carrot and celery sticks, while waiting for our food which came in a timely manner. We both chose avocado and prawns as a starter, followed by two different lamb dishes, both came piping hot and nicely presented. The portions are large! It was my wife's birthday and the staff placed a lit candle in her piece of cheesecake and sang Happy Birthday, what a lovely touch."

"When we arrived punctually, we were greeted in a very friendly manner with the words "RESERVATION?" Equipped with the OpenTable reservation confirmation, I made it clear that I have made reservations for people in my name. After a quick glance at her rancid notebook, the waitress wanted to end the conversation with the words "No, sorry." After I again held the confirmation in front of her nose, came another sorry, you could not do anything before she fled to the cane. Then a gentleman accompanied us to the door. On New Year's Eve, finding a restaurant with people in a crowded city was simply impossible, and so, on behalf of people, I would like to thank the Bistro Grad Hometown restaurant for a failed start to the year"

"Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was mostly attentive. My wife absolutely loved the pan-fried salmon, calling it one of the most delicious dishes she had ever tasted. I enjoyed the rib-eye steak, which was also excellent. We started with the pate, which was delicious, but the portion size was a bit large for just two small triangles of toast. The only downside was when we ordered a bottle of Prosecco and found out after a 10-minute wait that they were out of stock. However, the Cava they offered as a replacement was very nice. Overall, we would happily recommend this restaurant to our friends."

"We waited 1 hour for our drinks. 2 hours for our meal. This was my 25th birthday dinner and we were served after 2 hours and were then rushed to eat within half an hour since the restaurants close at 11. We had to take away our steak and drink in foil. We were rushed to cook and eat our steak. We didn’t get any desert to the fact we had no time left to eat and we were waiting to have desert at the restaurant for my birthday. We paid just under £170 and the service was absolutely awful. 2 and a half hours booking should be enough time to enjoy your meal. At no point did anyone apologise for the wait. If I knew this is the experience we would get I would never have booked this for my birthday. Me and my siblings were so disappointed. Spending £170 I should not have had to take my steak home in foil, my drink home in foil after waiting an hour for the first round and not even get a chance to have desert. What a disappointing experience, this was the worst part of the day."

"Had a lovely overnight stay and a meal here yesterday! The decor is LOVELY, gives a great warm feeling. Plenty of drinks on offer! The staff are so lovely and welcoming! "I went to Turkuaz Restaurant for my birthday and it was a fantastic experience. The owner greeted us with a smile, informed us that our reservation was for 6:30pm instead of 7:30pm, and led us to our table while making funny and pleasant comments. The waiter promptly took our order and our starters arrived quickly. The owner checked on us regularly and made sure we were enjoying our meal. The food was incredible, especially the mixed grill which was tender, flavorful, and loved by all of us. We were so absorbed in our meal that we were all quiet. Turkuaz Restaurant is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to everyone at Turkuaz Restaurant for a great dining experience."

"I discovered this brunch spot on Instagram and decided to take my partner for a birthday celebration after visiting Horizon 22 (Scenic point). The restaurant is full of quirky features, but I particularly enjoyed the display of speakers and the words on the stairs. Our host, Edward, was delightful - very polite and friendly. He even offered an alternative option for my meal and shared inspiring stories about his life journey. Edward's exceptional customer service makes him a valuable asset to the restaurant. The location, across from Liverpool Street station, is also fantastic."

"We were celebrating a 40th birthday for my son 6 people in total. We ordered whilst having drink outside in the garden. However, when our food arrived there were several issues: 1. I had to remind the staff that my starter came with Fig Chutney it had been forgotten. 2. It was assumed that white toast would be my choice with my pate I should be asked as many people have intolerance to white bread 3. The Prawn Cocktail was very basic 4. Worse of all they forgot one of the £35 Sirloin Steaks!! Surely it's not difficult to know when there are 6 people present that it's likely to be 6 main courses. We were told it was being done but the issue is that it not only needs cooking but it needs to rest too my son who's birthday it was knows that is correct. So instead we would get a quickly prepared steak and at £35 no thanks!! All in all the experience was pretty poor. We won't be rushing back!"

"I visited De Rougemont Manor on Wednesday the 28th of February for Afternoon Tea to celebrate my mum and aunts birthday. When the food was presented to us the crisps to me looked as if they had either been broken or it was at the end of the packet some of the sandwiches were dry and also the cakes had dried out from where I believe they had been cut too early. As a party of five adults and two children we had to keep asking for refills (cheese, jam etc) as we wasn't asked if we needed anything else, we was never asked once if we needed our tea or coffee replenished. I appreciate it may of been short staffed that day due to the weather (it was snowing on and off) as there only seemed to be one member of staff working in the bar/restaurant. I feel really disappointed that the day was ruined by this as it was meant to be a nice get together for joint birthday celebrations. Also I have contacted the hotel and have not had any response back from them which again is awful customer service. All in all I will not be returning unless things are thoroughly improved and what should of been a lovely day celebrating was not."

"What a great addition to the Paddington Hyde Park neighbourhood, serving European Russian food. "The service at this restaurant was terrible, the worst I have ever experienced. It was especially disappointing since it was New Year's Eve and you would expect some level of celebration. I would recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan, as the online vegan menu is out of date and not available. The servers did not apologize for this and instead sent the manager to our table, who proceeded to strike out items on the menu that could not be made vegan in a very embarrassing manner. A simple gesture of asking the chef would have been much kinder. The pesto gnocchi I ordered was awful, with a terrible taste even though I typically love pesto. It's unclear why the quality was so poor, especially considering they weren't busy. My advice is to avoid this restaurant altogether."

"From the start we got greeted by this guy with an amazing hair who knew we was there for our 1year anniversary and was very attentive ask if we’ve been there before and explain how to order. Food came quick too which was great. My husband loved the steak and I enjoyed my salmon. The lady who was our waitress Asian blonde hair with glasses was amazing too. She made sure we was comfortable. We also got complementary dessert which was really nice. We had an amazing night. Thank you will definitely recommend this place. And will be back as-well too."
