"We booked in advance for my birthday lunch here, every member of our table of ten was blown away by the quality and finesse of both the service and the food. Presentation was beautiful, the drinks were crisp and clean and the pub was warm and friendly. Highly recommend this place, well worth traveling for! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We drove through Haddington and stopped off to have a walk around. It’s a lovely market town. We asked for a recommendation for a pub lunch and were told to give The Green a try. We were not disappointed..so thanks again to the lady who gave us the tip! My partner had the fish and chips and said it was amazing. I had the Cajun chicken loaded fries. So delicious, good portions. They had a great selection of cocktails so I gave the Passion Fruit Martini a go. So good! Staff were so helpful and friendly, service was quick and all COVID precautions were taken. We even got some cake shakes to go as recommended by the bar staff to enjoy on our walk by the river. Total indulgence! Anytime we are back in East Lothian we will definitely stop by The Green!"

"The service was fabulous, it was our anniversary dinner and we were welcomed with complimentary champagne. The service was great. But the food was not great quality in my opinion. Our meal came to around the 90.00 mark and did not justify the amount we paid. The quality of my steak wasn’t great, it wasn’t done to how I asked. The starter was under cooked (pork belly). We were quite disappointed as it was recommended highly by friends. We didn’t want to complain due to the service being so great. But was a disappointment."

"I received an email saying trip advisor thought I was referring to the wrong business. I am referring to the restaurant Olio in the hotel, Homewood, Freshford, Bath. I admit at first I said the advertising suggests a contemporary and enjoyable restaurant in a relaxing...environment but after reading the website, relaxing is mentioned at breakfast times only. But, having previously had a number of enjoyable lunches here before, decided to book an evening meal and asked our friends to join. The dome we had, which are currently a feature of their terrace was lovely, as was the salad, that’s about it. Poor service and a culture that allows people to shout, sing and yell all evening, knowing it’s impacting everyone around them, is not a place for me. Being greeted at reception and told to sit in the bar, to waiting minutes for a drink, a further minute delay to the table. To effectively a “heat up” of meat on the BBQ, and one person serving those in terrace, led to a disappointing experience all round. When I asked if the behaviour of the group is accepted as the norm, I was told the group visit weekly and became clear the restaurant feels they have to accommodate such poor behaviour. It’s a shame, I had booked for friends to come back in a couple of weeks as well as further booking later in the autumn and have now be cancelled the bookings."

"Albion’s has become our family’s go to restaurant of choice for breakfast, brunch and family dinners. We are always greeted warmly and tables arranged to suit that day’s requirements. It is particularly nice to be able to sit in the back garden area when the weather permits. We have been up and down the various menus and have found the standard of both ingredients and cooking very high. Our grandchildren especially enjoy the deep fried (real) fish fingers and the mussels, whilst the rest of us have enjoyed almost everything else, with the chicken salad and the butternut squash risotto being worthy of a special mention. The desserts, particularly the Eton Mess, are so good that they are selected even when not needed for nutritional purposes. We enjoy a range of drinks, without yet having really got to grips with the wine list, although their Malbec is very “slippery”! Overall I highly recommend it for family dining."

"An interesting mixed bag here for me today. Context.... Movable feast... where dozens of people descend on a venue for a starter, or a main, or a desert. Let's start with the service....very good. all of the waiting staff were genuinely interested in making our stay is good. Natalie is awsome... give her a bonus. Soufle for starter. it was OK. not particularly light, volumous or a taste extravaganza. cheeky little pot of sauce was OK. 660ml of Kronenbourg was north of £7 (really no need for that price in Nch) Summary.... I assume the quality was diminished to cater for the larger numbers of customers at one time. But on my experience.... too expensive for the food and beer for the quality. Staff are great."

"We came on a Sunday , of us. Including my nephew years Our waitress Cleopatra could not have been more accommodating, she entertained the little one to no end. There is currently no childrenâs menu but they went out of there way to provide something suitable for a year old. Which was perfect. I had the chicken burger and my brother had the beef burger... both were really good! Would highly recommend. Also a really nice secluded sun Terrance. Will definitely be back.. thank you cleopatra !"

"This is OUR local pub when we visit York. Right near our apartment. What we love is that there are lots of regular locals in...a sign of a good pub...some have been drinking here for 40+ years. The last time we went in for an afternoon quick half...lets just say it was 10 pints each later...fab afternoon and lovely customers both regulars and tourists. Lovely bar area...with open fire when it 's chilly...very quaint and always customers in to have great conversation with. Lovely lounge area too...and upstairs is where they serve the food. We had a Sunday lunch which was awesome with a massive fresh yorshire pudding. We have been in on quiz night which was great fun...and a few times when they have had live music...which is a great atmosphere and gets everyone singing along. The staff are so polite...always smiling and so helpful and friendly too. Proper old traditional pub...great staff...great place. We will be back."

"The meal we had here for my husband’s 50th birthday was truly outstanding in every way. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and both Jonathan and Caroline were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. We chose the Potted Shrimp and Smoked Haddock Mousseline as starters, the Rump of Lamb and Pork Fillet for mains and the Chocolate Fondant and “Cheesecake” for dessert all enjoyed with a super Rosé. The food was outstanding and such good value. Highly recommend this fabulous restaurant for any occasion; you will not be disappointed."

"We were lucky enough to score the last free table for their three course pre theatre sitting. The restaurant is lovely, stylishly furnished only slight downside is a spiral staircase to access the toilets which may cause problems to some with limited mobility. The complimentary starter of warm, homemade bread, lemon butter and pea dip set the tone for the meal delicious, as was the haggis, neeps tatties and cod pate starters. The coley with smoked haddock was unusual and very flavourful, as was the pork shoulder, and we fought over the hand cut chips! I had a lovely dessert of apples, elderflower ganache and gooseberry ice cream whilst my partner chose Cheddar which was eye wateringly strong! Fairly short but unusual wine list, reasonably priced. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, finding extra seats to allow us to join a couple with whom we had struck up a conversation. Will definitely return if we are in the area, a highlight of our trip."

"First time in Dublin but went back twice for dinner! First was a rib eye which was juicy and tender and accompanied by its crispy potato gratin, which was enjoyed to fullest. Went back second time and had their lamb shepherd's pie, which was simply awesome! Recommended for tthose who doesn't eat lamb cuz lamb taste is minimum. Cocktails tasted great. Tried their Sussex G&T, whiskey sour and aperol spritz!"

"excellent. excellent value for money with fast and friendly service, very cheap lunch packages for two courses) and especially extremely good food. portionings are very generously particularly popular are the crispy pork bell, bone cover, grilled cuddly and sea mussels. desserts are a little more hit and miss, so that holding on to start and netzen could be a better option. the menu changes slightly depending on the season and available ingredients, but some of the dishes stay in the course of the year it is sometimes very crowded, so book them in advance! highly recommended and my opinion after one of the best restaurants in london."

"This restaurant is tucked away and it was a friend from Harrogate that recommended it. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we had had a 6 hour journey so were tired and hungry. The restaurant did not disappoint. We had delicious authentic French dishes and were really looked after. We were recommended a wine by Dominic which was perfect and our starters came out quickly ahead of the 2 bigger parties that were dining. Despite the 2 big parties our service remained attentive. My husband's leg of duck was delicious and the prices for the set menu were fantastic value. Only comment to improve things going forward would be to separate the couple's dining from the groups so that we could have had a more romantic meal."

"We escaped the main body of the flare itself, only the tail end of the energy wafted across our planet, like the smoke from next door’s bonfire drifting into your garden on a Saturday afternoon. It made for a spectacular lightshow, the midnight sky illuminated as beams of super-heated gas shot across the heavens, streaks of light, sunset orange at first then a brighter yellow then finally bright white, the intensity of the energy increased and blended with our atmosphere. No sound, not at first at least. The bright streaks overhead moved in silence, from what seemed like directly overhead then off into the distance, they looked to disappear over the horizon as they shot off into space. Then came the noise, it sounded like distant thunder to begin with, a low rumble that grew and swirled around the busy sky. The streaks overhead increased in size, until the whole sky flashed white with intermittent blinding explosions within the magnetic field around our Earth. We stood and watched open mouthed, as the universe gave us a stark reminder of our place within it. It acted as a global EMP, frying solenoids like bacon all over the world, we lost almost all electricity overnight. Weeks passed before the power started to come back on, clean became available and the world was settling back down to a variation of normal. It took years to properly rebuild, decades of struggle, but now some forty years later we have new technology borne out of the flare, electromagnetic propulsion was fast becoming a reality. New discoveries were being made decades after the event, only last week a chap in Germany had learned how to ignite a fire underwater, a remarkable, if somewhat pointless endeavour. All of this leads us to here, where the next great discovery happens, today, to a man called Jack."

"I am a solo traveller and usually find that restaurants are not overly keen to take your booking as you are clearly taking up a table for two so they are loosing money. I arrived at Vesta without a booking and was immediately welcomed by Declan and given a great table by the bar. Between him, Anu and Sophie, I was given superb service for the rest of the evening. I had a good bottle of Malbec and a rib eye steak which was perfect followed by a beautiful selection of cheeses. I was actually sad to leave Vesta and would highly recommend it. I think the work they do for Social Bite is fantastic and an admirable contribution to homelessness in Edinburgh. Well done guys."

"This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Throughout our holiday, the staff were consistently polite and friendly. The food was delicious, with the best ribs I've ever had, as well as amazing burgers and fish and chips. I highly recommend this place, as it is family and dog-friendly. This is definitely one of the best bars/restaurants I've been to."
