"Shop has a good array of products, including fresh, organic produce, canned goods (including tempeh and braised tofu), bread, chocolate, chilled and frozen items, home care and health products, etc. Cash is best: they charge 50p for using a credit card and 20p for debit card. Vegetarian Caf in the back, including a pleasant outdoor patio: coffees, teas, vegan hot chocolate with vegan marshmallows, cakes and scones, soups all three were vegan and gluten-free when I was there; I had the Mexican bean-tomato, served with organic spelt bread and vegan spread. Toasted sandwiches 3.50) with four fillings from a long list of filling options, including three cheeses but also vegan mayo, roasted vegetables, hummus, vegan pesto, grated carrot, olives, cranberries, etc., served with side salad. Organic salad bowl 3.75 takeout, 3.95 eat in. Clives pies and soysage rolls available too but take a while to heat (not in a microwave). Plan on 40 minutes for pies and less for rolls. Sitting on the patio, I enjoyed a piece of sponge loaf with loganberries blueberries (moist and lots of berries) with a cup of good coffee. Free wi-fi available. "We had seen this cafe before and wanted to give it a try the pastries in the window look amazing! Now, to be fair, we didnt realise it was vegetarian. I had a 'stuffed potato skin ' which looked lovely piled high mash with what looked like cheese on the top. It was 'stuffed ' with .....potato ! That 's it, I couldn 't really taste anything else except a few chives. Husband had vegetable lasagne, which he said was pretty tasteless also. And a cup of tea for him, smallest cappuccino ive ever seen for me over £30 !!!"

"We stumbled upon this lovely looking cafe with a beautiful secret garden whilst on a day trip to Carlisle. We arrived a few minutes before 3pm and were given a bunch of menus by a sullen teenage waitress. She told us to take a seat and someone would be over to serve us. We took a seat in the garden and waited for service. They were quite busy, so it was a while before anyone came over to serve us. We were then told that they had now stopped serving food as it was after 3pm (by a couple of minutes) and they stopped serving food an hour before closing at 4pm. We explained that we had been there since before 3pm and that all we were looking for was a couple of sandwiches. The pleasant waitress said she would ask the kitchen if it was ok. I assumed that, good sense and a modern customer service attitude, would mean we’d get our sandwiches. Sadly the embarrassed waitress had to come back and tell us that the kitchen had said no. If we had been told that food was stopping at three we’d have given our order straight away, rather then wait ten minutes for nothing. We left straight away. It’s a lovely cafe but it’s old fashioned charm seems to be matched with an old-fashioned “clock-watching” attitude to customers. Really disappointing and we won’t be back. It was just embarrassing really."

"I had been recommended this gem of a cafe by a work colleague. As it is a five minute walk, from Glasgow Buchanan Street coach station, it was very handy. At o’clock on a bank holiday Monday this place was buzzing with people wanting...to eat. There are chairs situated at the window, as it seems to be more of of a sandwich takeaway than a cafe. I joined the queue, and promptly served. I opted for a full breakfast, and tea, priced at [price as date May The breakfast was promptly brought to me, to which I thoroughly enjoyed, with a piping hot cup of tea. The customer service is excellent from the staff. Excellent value for money. And yes I will be back."

"Maybe the food is fine, but unfortunately I didn’t get to go. I was gifted some vouchers in summer 2022 to try the place and didn’t realise that they expire in 6 months. I telephoned the cafe hoping that they would offer to honour them as a good will gesture as they’ve had the money and it’s less than a year since they were bought. That would be good customer service, right? They’d have lost literally nothing. They could have even said they’d accept half the value due to inflation etc. However, I never got to ask. The woman on the phone was that “fake nice” people dealing with potential disputes get when they’re telling you something they know that they obviously get a lot of grief about, calling me “sweet pea” I’m a 42 year old woman. Pretty condescending and I didn’t get chance to give any grief (not that I would have, I’m polite) because she hung up on me. Bad customer service, absolute con on gift voucher dates. Not a good experience at all and didn’t even manage to get through the door! Before I get a reply saying that they tell people about the quick date and that’s their policy that’s not my feedback. They didn’t tell me because the vouchers were gifted to me by someone else. My feedback is that the period of time is too short and the woman on the phone was rude. That’s it. If you go there regular and you love it and never bought vouchers then good for you. All I’m saying is avoid the vouchers unless you can guarantee you’ll be using them in 6 months and also hope you never need to contact them from a customer service perspective because you may well be sorely disappointed by the attitude."

"Sat in the conservatory as we normally do. Radiators have always been on apart from yesterday, you can’t replace three decent size radiators with one electric panel heater just not possible. Didn’t mention it as when we arrived it wasn’t so bad but the weather...got worse and it got colder! When we left it felt warmer through the main area but felt a radiator behind a sofa near the front door and wasn’t on either. Anyway food was good apart from Pork belly fat could’ve been rendered down more. It was a bit blubbery. Wife’s nut roast spot on as was the veg and roast potatoes. Obviously we shall go again and hopefully these issues rectified as we don’t want to stop coming. We’ve been probably six or seven times since re opening and it’s normally a 4/5 or 5/5. Good ale selection too."

"This was our first visit to the Riverside Cafe, located more-or-less in the heart of the lively and interesting town of Newcastle Emlyn. As we walked through the door on this rainy lunchtime and saw some of the items on offer, I knew we were going to enjoy our meal and want to come back again. We were given a friendly greeting by Karuna, and found ourselves a cosy table by one of the windows. This place is light and airy, beautifully decorated, with a gallery of gorgeous paintings by a local artist (Varshana). There is an extensive menu with a wide variety of vegan options. The salads looked so good, so I opted for the salad bowl with avocado, some ginger and lemon tea, and several different cakes for dessert (some rocky road' and carrot cake to eat in, and a couple of others to take home). The atmosphere in the cafe is really congenial, and the place was fairly busy, but not too busy, so we felt comfortable taking our time. We were there for around three hours, chatting with other patrons, while enjoying our food. There's parking outside, and it's right by the river, next to an impressive and picturesque 18th Century stone bridge. "It would have been better if they'd told us when we ordered that we had to collect the food upstairs. That way we wouldn't have sat in the bar downstairs for 20 minutes wondering where our food was, and we'd have enjoyed it hot rather than lukewarm. Vetomeato was operating with a reduced menu when we went, approx half the items weren't available but the Veto burger and the Mediterranean bowl were still on the menu (and very nice too). "I visited this restaurant for the second time in 10 days and was once again impressed. After enjoying their delicious Mexican cuisine during my first visit, I decided to return and try their Indian food. I was blown away by the amazing dishes and the top-notch service provided by every member of the staff. The owner's wife even came by to check if everything was to our liking. I plan on returning again this week to try their Thai food. Kudos to everyone at the restaurant, I would rate my experience a 15/10 if I could! Overall, a fantastic dining experience."

"This café is in the centre of Clapham on the trendy Pavement, a two minute walk from the tube station. On a Saturday lunch time it was packed with trendy Clapham hipsters (if such a genre exists as most young people in Clapham appear middle-aged...and replicas of their middle-class parents The café has a short menu of tart-like dishes. My friend had an eggs Benedict unlike the traditional version which is served on a muffin, this came with a pastry side. She said it was nice. I had a Summer slaw salad bowl It was not large, despite being billed that way, but as it was full of ingredients such as cabbage, it was quite filling. It was certainly tasty. I did not like the fact that the bowl was chipped in several places, though, and consider this not good management as it is potentially a health hazard. A San Pellegrino can of fizzy orange cost No alcohol is served. Our waitress was very pleasant and a service charge was added so the bill came to not cheap but not expensive; middle of the road, which was rather like the experience."

"When you go to a place like Pizza Hut you don’t expect flashy food and wine service but a smile and some nice customer service that meant they cared a little bit would have sufficed. We went in there this evening and the place was...maybe half full. We ordered our food and ate our free salad and waited for our pizza. After minutes waiting, during which time tables next to us were served and fed, we had to prompt the waiter to chase our order. She came back and said the kitchen was busy but it would be just or minutes: they were served by another waitress minutes later with no apology for taking an hour. I won’t complain about the food because that was fine, but even when the waiter took out plates away there was no ‘how was your meal?’ And when we paid there was no ‘have a good evening or thanks for coming’. When I looked around I realised the whole place is run by young people who would appear to have had very little training in customer service. This isn’t acceptable and I won’t be going back there. The management should be ashamed for not training their staff better because it makes them all look bad and I’m sure they were only doing their best... their best just wasn’t good enough. Please train your staff to give customers a nice experience- a smile can go a long way."

"I visited the Mulberry Bush twice this week during my stay in Wales. Many years ago when I studied at Lampeter University, I regularly shopped here although it was a very small affair back then. Since then it has totally been transformed and the shop is not only twice the size but there is also a restaurant now. They had the best range of vegan products that I have ever come across, both refrigerated and in the grocery section. Some of the brands were completely new to me with the addition of plenty of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, and home-made cakes and savouries. Given its rural location, it is an absolute treasure trove!"

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and the staff is very friendly. They provide allergen guides upon request and are willing to check with the kitchen if there are any uncertainties. The chicken and waffles are gluten-free, as are many other options on the menu. I plan on returning because the food is so good. "Thanks to Happy Cow users, we had the opportunity to try this incredible food. Our last visit to Glastonbury left us unimpressed, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the restaurant had changed hands and undergone a transformation. This establishment, which started at festivals, offers a menu where almost everything is served in a wrap - a unique and enjoyable concept. We tried the breakfast burrito and kebab, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly, the interior was cozy and well-maintained, and everything was spotlessly clean. Despite the weather not being ideal during our visit, the exterior looked appealing through the window. I haven't been able to stop thinking about the food since our visit. If we lived closer, we would definitely become regulars."

"Last night on the way back from work my dad and I decided to call in to have a bite to eat so we'd be done for the evening. We were not greeted but faced with a rude woman named Amanda. She had no manners...and clearly no customer service skills as she spoke to us as if we were causing her trouble and everything was an effort. There were one couple in the seating area however apart from them it was empty. Once we were sat eating our subs, Amanda comes out from behind the couter and starts speaking with men who were clearly in authority of the connecting shop. Her attitude immediately changed as she was polite and almost a different person towards them. Loudly she said to the men Oh i've found out whats wrong with my back, i went to the doctor and it turns out to be Pleurisy My dad and i looked in horror at each other as she had just made our sub. She then went on to say yeah if it doesn't get better i'll have to go back to the doctors she continued discussing her illness with them. My dad and i went over to the chaps and asked them if they were linked with this station which they replied yes. Dad then told them how he was concerned with what he'd just eated and how it isnt really suitable for a discussion like that in front of customers. They didn't say anything. As we got into the car one approached us and said ive just checked with Amanda and she said she was joking Because your doctor would tell you that you have Pleurisy as a joke !!! Awful experience, Rude and lying staff."
