"The Brasco Lounge in Liverpool is a lovely place to eat. The atmosphere, the staff, the location, the big windows, the chilled out music and the food drink make it one of my favourite places to meet up. There is a seperate vegan menu, which is lovely, but if nothing is quite right for you you can tweek by adding extras or sides. (There are seperate gluten-free and kids menus too). Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are welcoming and helpful. There is a table containing activities for littles ones and if your dog is well behaved, they will welcome and cater for your dog too. Today I had brunch with my daughter and step-children (aged 3 and 10 months). I had sweet potato waffles with avocado, black beans, lime and coriander, with a sauted mushroom extra. My grandson is weening baby-led, so the staff did him little bowls of cucumber sticks, avocado, hummus and banana. There are plenty of accessible high chairs. There is a choice of two vegan puddings I have had the dark chocolate and coconut torte and can recommend it. I like tea very weak and milky so they gave me two jugs of soya milk and an extra pot ot hot water. You can help yourself to chilled water and glasses. The drinks menu is varied and quality and includes hot, cold, smoothie and alcoholic. There are a variety of tables and chairs of different styles and heights, and their are couches. For me, it's hard to think of anything they haven't thought of but if you do, I am sure they will welcome the suggestion."

"I would give it six if I could... To start with, the staff at the Liskerrett Community Centre were lovely and friendly, which then continued into the Hub cafe itself. Masks were worn (by us and them which was a big plus for us. The Cafe itself is lovely and bright and adorned with art created by the owner, and the whole atmosphere was very inviting and pleasant. We had sandwiches (stilton with red onion chutney etc., and humous with beetroot etc. , both of which came with salads. And these weren't just a couple of salad leaves and cherry tomatoes thrown on the plate, oh no olives, avocado, lettuce, tomato, kidney beans, pomegranate and (I think little slivers of mango. Drizzled with olive oil and balsamic (which you apply yourself . Both the sandwiches (which my wife and I shared, by which I mean approx 60:40 in my favour were lovely, with loads of filling and flavour in between seeded bread, and the salad was beautiful (as was the coleslaw which also came with it . There were many enticing things we could have chosen from the menu, but we were in something of a rush, so went for the straightforward option. We both said that, if we had been holidaying in Liskeard for a few days, we would have been back to the Hub possibly every day to try more things on the menu. To cap it all, we spoke to the owner/proprietor, who is a lovely lady, and we had a laugh with her and the woman who served us. It is obvious that a great deal of thought and care goes into every part of the Hub. Bravo, and thank heavens the place has survived lockdown etc, and is obviously thriving. If we do move to Liskeard, we will be back!!"

Bill's

Bill's

51 Week St, Maidstone, United Kingdom

"So I am very new in vegan lifestyle, and with most of my family and friends still eat a mixed diet, I had to find somewhere to offer any taste. If you first get to Bill's, it looks like a small café, but on foot in the restaurant it has a large number of tables and a second floor. It had a great atmosphere all the time when I was there, which was about two hours, but something I liked was the restaurant theme. It is like an old store with qwerky wall art, shelves with spices, food cans and rope, but the old style mirrors are really cool (and for taking selfies for social media The staff was all very friendly and asked us if someone had any food restrictions they were more than to help. I was recommended that the menu was currently quite minimal for vegans, but I knew this in. Starter: Toasted Focaccia with Hummus and Olives Main: Ancient Grain Bowl salad from wild rice, buckwheat, roasted millet, black quinoa, asparagus, Charred Broccoli, roasted cherry tomatoes, red pepper, avocado, spring onion, red pepper tapenade, seeds and lemon. Note, if you choose this option, I would add a page. It's a really nice dish, but there was something I couldn't put on my finger. Page: Sweet Potato Fries These are below as vegetarian, but ask that they are cooked oven instead of pan boiled Sort this from dessert: No drinks: 2x apple, carrots and ginger juice This drink was great and I would highly recommend it"
