"no good experience at all, ordered a takeaway and in the rule is zorba fantastic, but the meat was over boiled and chewy, the Bulgarian rice was dry and tasteless, the chips were soggy and undercooked and the brot was changed from a flatbread to a thick naan type brot that is not so delicious. a very disappointing experience. I'm gonna go to another one from now on. as a shame as this was my favorite withdrawal earlier, but I don't know what happened"

"We visited The Glasshouse for a group meal and there were seven of us in total. We all agreed that the restaurant is a beautiful building with lovely decor. The food was fantastic, with steaks cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. There were two friendly young staff members who seemed to be new and were unfamiliar with the menu. However, when an older staff member came over, her demeanor was quite abrupt and almost aggressive. It was also inappropriate for her to be wearing a mini skirt while serving. She seemed to have some attitude issues, which detracted from our experience. I believe that additional training in both menu knowledge and customer service should be provided to all employees."

"The majority of the dishes were fantastic, but the Dover sole was both overpriced and lacked flavor. The waiter seemed to not adequately clarify how the pricing worked based on weight. While it's true we didn't review the menu beforehand, the waiter did inquire if it was our first visit."

"Went to the bar for coffee and a glass wine, and had to ask if someone could clear and clean one of the outside tables for us, which were piled high with empty glasses etc. When the waiter eventually appeared with our drinks, he hurriedly cleared the table, but didn`t bother to clean it. When my partner went to drink her wine, she noticed a huge chunk out of the rim of the glass. The latter meant that I had to go back to the bar, and wait for a member of bar staff to finally appear, and pour a fresh glass of wine. When I returned to our table, and went to put sugar in my (by now cold coffee) I noticed a large chip out the sugar bowl! The standards in this hotel have seriously deteriorated in recent months, so much so, that despite having been regular customers when in Cockermouth, we now wouldn`t be in a hurry to return. There seems to be an arrogance about the Trout Hotel, when the owners/ management think they can provide appallingly low standards similar to that which one might expect in a downmarket hotel, and don`t even respond or apologise when customers have written justifiable critical reviews! Service: 1"

"I 'm a BIG food lover and have been to every so called 'Lebanese ' restaurant across London and have found nothing can come close to Beirut Nights. One thing above all that really did it for me was the customer service. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everyone made me feel very welcome and really did everything they could to ensure I had a great time. The food! What can I say about the food! The farruj musahab (baby chicken) is unbelievably tender and tasty and is also very affordable. We smoked shisha outside afterwards and it was refreshing to not be at a shisha place that is full of loud teens. It was a chilled out atmosphere with loads of cool looking people I 'd recommend this place to anyone without thinking twice."

"What a disappointment! Have Satis House for Christmas meal for my colleagues for 5 years, but definitely not used again. The starters were fine, but the main meal was a catastrophe, burned Pasnips and everything was cold, plate was not heated. Couple next to us sent food back there because it was cold. Usually the restaurant is full on a Sunday, especially on the run until Christmas, but there were only two tables for lunch. We didn't worry about puddings, but you really need to sort out."

"Upon our arrival, we noticed a large lineup for those without reservations, but we had booked in advance so a staff member escorted us in immediately. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The food was delicious and satisfying, we opted for the haddock as there was no cod available but it was still tasty, served with chips and tartar sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant, it is a must-visit in London."

"This review is not from a person who attended Senator as a guest but as the DJ for this venue's very first Barmitzah. Let me start by saying the venue is perfectly sized to cater for simchas, the tables are well spaced out to feel like you are not on top of each other and the dance floor is a good size so that everyone can enjoy themselves without having to worry about stepping on anyone's toes. From a DJ's point of view, the sound system is second to none and the lighting can be controlled to suit the night. I found the staff and Hamed Javanmardi to be very helpful and accommodating, which in turn made my night easier to entertain the guests. Like I said, this was the venues first ever barmitzah and in my opinion they done a fantastic job. To anyone who is looking for a venue that is not on the current circuit for barmitzah and batmitzahs (you know the places) then Senator's could be the place for you. Well done and looking forward (hopefully) to DJing future simchas here."

"The food at this restaurant was incredible, especially the pizzas. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. However, the real standout for me was the delicious hot chocolate. Definitely worth a try."

"Loved the themed menu and the fact that we were staying on site with a restaurant on our doorstep that was a massive selling point for us. Some feedback I would suggest is some music. The place is small and once other patriots leave the silence fills. Especially for the themed night a little Italian background music would of been perfect! A member of our party is Gluten free and she was well taken care of, she felt safe and left full. If you do an Italian night again you should consider doing an anti pasti board on the menu and maybe investing in a pizza oven or homemade dough. As the pizza dough tasted like it had been frozen (it wasn't a soft base and crust). However the range of pizza's you had on offer would of fit anyone's taste, I personally had the goats cheese and mushroom it was great! Maybe an option to create your own pizza choice or topping add on's would be a great addition. Overall if we come to the area again we will be returning to Seaton Hall we had a wonderful stay and a wonderful meal on site."

"We booked a table for four for my husband's birthday 10 days in advance. We arrived slightly early, to be told the chef had not yet arrived. The table was booked for 1.30pm and there was still no sign of the chef at 1.45pm. Considering we were expecting a Sunday lunch, we were aware we would probably have a long wait for a fresh roast to be cooked. We kept asking what was the situation, and were told she was coming on the bus (Sunday, Bank Holiday on 1st January? . We were then told they could not contact her on her mobile. We were not even offered a complimentary drink whilst waiting, so we told them we would have the round of drinks we had whilst waiting for free. They were not bothered in the least when we told them we were leaving just after 2.00pm, just as the chef arrived in a car! Cannot therefore rate the food or value. Very disappointed."

"so I have seen some reviews online for this steakhouse. the photos looked amazing and my wife always prevented me from going for a steak. we have booked in advance to reserve a table during the crazy covid times. .yaqubs is very covid friendly and have arranged the tables with social distancing in mind according to all government policies. it was quite relatiw when we left, but that was good. the personal was good and the commands were taken in time. the woman ordered some wings and a cocktail and I order some mozzarella sticks as our ancestors. very tasty. the wings were soft and full of taste. very well cooked. for our net I had a Yaqubs receiver (lots and lots of meat) and chips (with one by the side) while my wife went for a steak, maische and salat. we made a tasty bite so much that we didn't have space for dessert! I have booked my next trip there already."

"We booked this restaurant through open table and was disappointed overall. The menu was not the same menu as shown through open table, it was extremely limited. However our party settled on the panko coated aubergine salad, the Cajun burger and the banyan currizza. The salad was enjoyable, the burgers Cajun coating was soggy and the currizza, which came with one of the curries of the day on top of a naan bread and melted mozzarella was cold. We notified one of two members of staff at front of house and this was dealt with straight away and very professionally. The rest of the party had finished eating by the time my dish was returned but it was kindly removed from the bill at the end. For this I would probably return, although it's more of a brunch time place, don't be swayed by the online menu."

"We went to Retro on Saturday for what will probably be the last time. The service was poor. If you want anything here you have to ask for it several times, but that's no guarantee you'll get it. I felt sorry for the young woman who was helping out I don't think she'd been trained. Removing the plates from the previous course before bringing the next one seems obvious, but my friends and I found ourselves doing that job. The food was average at best the special was rice with what appeared to be lumps of roast chicken plonked on top of it and little else. The portions are not generous so we asked for and got extra bread to make up for it. I asked for Lebanese beer they didn't have it only Bud. I asked for the Bud I didn't get it, we asked for water we didn't get it we asked for the candle to be lit (three times it went out a metaphor for the evening). At least this time they had Lebanese wine which was good. Like other tripadvisor critics we noticed a bloke going in and out with shopping. Odd!. We had a pleasant evening but that had everything to do with the company and the wine and little to do with Retro. We first went there back in 04/05 and have been there at least six/seven times over the years. It used to be good. Sadly last Sat was the last time."

"Traditional Lebanese restaurant, serving delicious, authentic cuisine at very reasonable prices. Plenty of open air seating with heaters. I would like to emphasis how impressive the staff are: friendly, efficient and exceptionally welcoming, working tirelessly to keep the customers happy. 100% recommend this place and will definitely be coming back."

"I think the best thing was the mussels. Some of the mains felt overpriced for what seemed more like bistro type fair. The prawn tacos were basic and lacked presentation for paying over £16 without a side."

"What an amazing place!! In such a picture perfect village. We visited to celebrate my Husband's birthday were not disappointed! We stayed in Mr Fox for 1 night. It is beautifully furnished, with a mezzanine level which proudly boars a roll top bath. The bathroom is stunning too all spotlessly clean. The complimentary carrot cakes were a lovely touch. Before our 3 course Sunday lunch, we had a drink at the bar. I started with chicken liver parfait it was delicious. For the main event I went for the pork belly it literally melted in my mouth. Best roasties gravy EVER!! The stuffed Yorkshire is totally another level!! We shared a cheese board to finish which was just right to end a perfect Sunday lunch. The service was perfect too. Breakfast at The Freemasons was something else! We had ordered our food the night before, not realising that we would be treated to a feast of army breakfast treats before our cooked breakfast! For me this was a true rival to Northcote!! We will be returning very soon!! Thank you to The Freemasons at Wiswell for making our experience a fabulous one! Vicki Matt"

"The food and place were ok. The only thing that made a very bad impression and made me feel a bit stressed was the service. I understand that it is a busy place etc, but you couldn’t dare to finish your drink, food etc , and they had already taken your plate, glass etc. For example, I had a glass of water and the moment I finished they took my glass…What if I wanted more water thought? Come on….that’s not a customer service…and it’s not how you should be treating ppl…long story short…. I would never go again.."
