"We visited The Glasshouse for a group meal and there were seven of us in total. We all agreed that the restaurant is a beautiful building with lovely decor. The food was fantastic, with steaks cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. There were two friendly young staff members who seemed to be new and were unfamiliar with the menu. However, when an older staff member came over, her demeanor was quite abrupt and almost aggressive. It was also inappropriate for her to be wearing a mini skirt while serving. She seemed to have some attitude issues, which detracted from our experience. I believe that additional training in both menu knowledge and customer service should be provided to all employees."

"We booked a table for four for my husband's birthday 10 days in advance. We arrived slightly early, to be told the chef had not yet arrived. The table was booked for 1.30pm and there was still no sign of the chef at 1.45pm. Considering we were expecting a Sunday lunch, we were aware we would probably have a long wait for a fresh roast to be cooked. We kept asking what was the situation, and were told she was coming on the bus (Sunday, Bank Holiday on 1st January? . We were then told they could not contact her on her mobile. We were not even offered a complimentary drink whilst waiting, so we told them we would have the round of drinks we had whilst waiting for free. They were not bothered in the least when we told them we were leaving just after 2.00pm, just as the chef arrived in a car! Cannot therefore rate the food or value. Very disappointed."

"Booked Beirut Nights on the recommendation of a friend for my and couldn't have been happier. From the moment we arrived we were treated as special guests, given a better table, kept entertained and served with the best Strawberry Mojitos you will taste! They allowed us to have our own cake which they kindly served for us in the Shisha lounge area once we were done eating, complete with a sparkling candle and full Happy Birthday... we stayed well over hours at the restaurant/lounge and could have stayed longer. We were never made to feel like they were waiting for us to leave. I would recommend Beirut Nights for a quiet Shisha and drinks on a weekend or indeed for a birthday party with a huge group its such a versatile venue!"

"I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Satis House. I have been bringing my work colleagues here for our Christmas meal for the past five years, but I will not be returning. The starters were passable, but the main course was a disaster. The parsnips were burnt, everything was cold, and our plates had not been warmed. The couple seated next to us even had to send their food back because it was cold. Typically, the restaurant is packed on Sundays, especially during the holiday season, but there were only two tables occupied during lunch. We decided to skip dessert, as the overall experience was subpar. It is imperative that Satis House improves their service."

"I usually go to Golden Fish and chips off of Oxford Street but because of all of the Great Reviews I thought we should try poppies. We got the haddock and chips and it was flavorless. usually cod is the bland one and haddock is much tastier) All the flavor was in the crust but the fish itself was bland we added a lot of salt and Malt vinegar but didn’t help much. The fries weren’t great usually I would eat the whole lot but not this time. They give you a very small jar of tartar sauce. Not enough in my opinion! And it didn’t taste like the freshly made tartare sauce but something out of a jar : The mushy peas were good. Bathroom downstairs clean. The couple next to us got fried calamari and that looked appetizing so maybe get a smaller fish and chips and try something else"

"This review is not from a person who attended Senator as a guest but as the DJ for this venue's very first Barmitzah. Let me start by saying the venue is perfectly sized to cater for simchas, the tables are well spaced out to feel like you are not on top of each other and the dance floor is a good size so that everyone can enjoy themselves without having to worry about stepping on anyone's toes. From a DJ's point of view, the sound system is second to none and the lighting can be controlled to suit the night. I found the staff and Hamed Javanmardi to be very helpful and accommodating, which in turn made my night easier to entertain the guests. Like I said, this was the venues first ever barmitzah and in my opinion they done a fantastic job. To anyone who is looking for a venue that is not on the current circuit for barmitzah and batmitzahs (you know the places) then Senator's could be the place for you. Well done and looking forward (hopefully) to DJing future simchas here."

"The food at this restaurant was incredible, especially the pizzas. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. However, the real standout for me was the delicious hot chocolate. Definitely worth a try."

"so I have seen some reviews online for this steakhouse. the photos looked amazing and my wife always prevented me from going for a steak. we have booked in advance to reserve a table during the crazy covid times. .yaqubs is very covid friendly and have arranged the tables with social distancing in mind according to all government policies. it was quite relatiw when we left, but that was good. the personal was good and the commands were taken in time. the woman ordered some wings and a cocktail and I order some mozzarella sticks as our ancestors. very tasty. the wings were soft and full of taste. very well cooked. for our net I had a Yaqubs receiver (lots and lots of meat) and chips (with one by the side) while my wife went for a steak, maische and salat. we made a tasty bite so much that we didn't have space for dessert! I have booked my next trip there already."

"Loved the themed menu and the fact that we were staying on site with a restaurant on our doorstep that was a massive selling point for us. Some feedback I would suggest is some music. The place is small and once other patriots leave the silence fills. Especially for the themed night a little Italian background music would of been perfect! A member of our party is Gluten free and she was well taken care of, she felt safe and left full. If you do an Italian night again you should consider doing an anti pasti board on the menu and maybe investing in a pizza oven or homemade dough. As the pizza dough tasted like it had been frozen (it wasn't a soft base and crust). However the range of pizza's you had on offer would of fit anyone's taste, I personally had the goats cheese and mushroom it was great! Maybe an option to create your own pizza choice or topping add on's would be a great addition. Overall if we come to the area again we will be returning to Seaton Hall we had a wonderful stay and a wonderful meal on site."

"We booked this restaurant through open table and was disappointed overall. The menu was not the same menu as shown through open table, it was extremely limited. However our party settled on the panko coated aubergine salad, the Cajun burger and the banyan currizza. The salad was enjoyable, the burgers Cajun coating was soggy and the currizza, which came with one of the curries of the day on top of a naan bread and melted mozzarella was cold. We notified one of two members of staff at front of house and this was dealt with straight away and very professionally. The rest of the party had finished eating by the time my dish was returned but it was kindly removed from the bill at the end. For this I would probably return, although it's more of a brunch time place, don't be swayed by the online menu."

"I was looking to have something to eat whilst looking around Leeds about 9pm, when I unmistakenly got the whiff of a chip shop. Having visited Leeds quite a few times and stayed in Vicar Lane Travelodge a number of times, was unaware of a nearby fish shop. The smell led me to Nash,s. No customers in, so ordered fish, chips, curry sauce and cup of coffee.Bit of a wait, but presumed it was the cooking of my order of fish. Sat at a table and a tv with country music videos was playing on the wall. Supper came on crockery plate, with metal cutlery and a mug of coffee with seperate jug of milk and the curry sauce came in a seperate dish too. All hot, clean and no complaints about the meal whatsoever. Total price was £8.50. whilst having my meal some customers for a takeaway called in and a steady stream of orders seem to have gone out the door, maybe from justeat. Will call again. Really nice, thank you."

"We went to Retro on Saturday for what will probably be the last time. The service was poor. If you want anything here you have to ask for it several times, but that's no guarantee you'll get it. I felt sorry for the young woman who was helping out I don't think she'd been trained. Removing the plates from the previous course before bringing the next one seems obvious, but my friends and I found ourselves doing that job. The food was average at best the special was rice with what appeared to be lumps of roast chicken plonked on top of it and little else. The portions are not generous so we asked for and got extra bread to make up for it. I asked for Lebanese beer they didn't have it only Bud. I asked for the Bud I didn't get it, we asked for water we didn't get it we asked for the candle to be lit (three times it went out a metaphor for the evening). At least this time they had Lebanese wine which was good. Like other tripadvisor critics we noticed a bloke going in and out with shopping. Odd!. We had a pleasant evening but that had everything to do with the company and the wine and little to do with Retro. We first went there back in 04/05 and have been there at least six/seven times over the years. It used to be good. Sadly last Sat was the last time."

"Traditional Lebanese restaurant, serving delicious, authentic cuisine at very reasonable prices. Plenty of open air seating with heaters. I would like to emphasis how impressive the staff are: friendly, efficient and exceptionally welcoming, working tirelessly to keep the customers happy. 100% recommend this place and will definitely be coming back."

"I think the best thing was the mussels. Some of the mains felt overpriced for what seemed more like bistro type fair. The prawn tacos were basic and lacked presentation for paying over £16 without a side."

"This is a fantastic place for tapas and wine, with a wonderful atmosphere. The tapas prepared by the Spanish chef Marco are exceptional, and he truly enjoys entertaining guests with his strong Spanish accent while sharing his culinary creativity and passion for food. The wine selection is intriguing and offered at great prices, featuring options from small producers in France, Spain, and Italy. Additionally, it serves as a wine shop where you can taste the wines before making a purchase. Overall, it's a great restaurant and an excellent experience!"

"pretty disappointed, honest. fish and chips were not bad, but over price. one of our party has a big haddock and chips, one a more regular and there was no difference in size. service was good, but certainly not friendly and in any case hastened. also pressed 3 people on a 2 sitish despite booking never a good thing! would not recommend to get better places to fish and chips and more favorable."

"freemasons in wiswell is the ranked pub in the top UK pubs of the good food guide it is also in the top good food guide. the environment is an oasis for good eating in the northwest with the likes of northcote and parkers arms for business. the pub is located in the quiet village wiswell and parking can be found along the narrow roads outside residential houses. the food was excellently presented with well-tuned aromen and excellent cooking art. we can see why the venue has accumulated such awards and the pictures below speak for itself."

"Our first visit to Griegs and I'm sure it won't be our last. We found the dining room cozy but with space for private conversation. The waiter service was very good without being overlaid. We were both very happy with our selection of dishes, and although the offer included a dessert we were satisfied after two courses. Right at Berkley Square, it was in a convenient location for transport. There is no doubt that it is excellent with its current offer."

"Really want to like this place as it has been highly recommended and is within walking distance of our new home. We've been twice within a couple of weeks simply for convenience. People working there are really lovely, but the very young staff don't seem to know what they're doing kids food came out long before adult food ready. There were then items missing off the plate that we had to request (no apology just laughed at the mistake . Chips massively overcooked, other items had clearly just been thrown in a deep fat fryer and came out dripping in oil (chicken schnitzel not good..! . We won't be rushing back, but we WILL give it another go in a few months to see if things improve as I really DO want to like it (the setting and beer garden are fantastic, so would definitely use it for drinks just not food . Hoping we simply caught them on two bad days."
