"We'll definitely give them another visit. We went on a Sunday evening pre-booked though we probably didn't need to. It was quite hard to get served, because the staff were so chilled they just left us to ourselves. The service itself was fine, though the food took a wee while to appear. It was just that whenever we wanted something like a drink, or to order food, we had to go looking for someone to tell. All quite odd. The food we had was excellent I had a burger, which was large, meaty and with good accompaniments. My wife had fishcake which she said was excellent. Both meals were fresh and piping hot tick! The beer I had was well kept and Lucy had a good glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. All at a reasonable price. We'll be back."

"I went to the Cracking Crab twice during the Easter holidays. Both times I had my two children (5 and 8 with me. The first visit was just me and them and the second time I also had two friends with me. The setting is just beautiful. We sat right next to the window on our first visit and saw the sun go down. On our second visit we were in one of the booths but still could see the view of the beach very well. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and make my children and I feel very welcome. We try and book the earliest table we can for dinner when we have the kids with us to avoid tiredness (the children! and enhance the experience for all of us. I have also been lucky enough to go sans children with my husband on a few occasions and have had some lovely, intimate dinners at table number 1! I love seafood and wine and both are very good here. Can't wait to go back in the summer!"

I have since received a county court letter before claim for parking in the FREE car park. the website states nothing about the parking accept that the car park is free and there was nothing clear to me at the car park itself or inside on attending the event to say that the free car park was somehow being used as a money making scheme for a parking firm. I would not go to this hotel again, only to be aggressively pursued by a third party parking company for months afterwards."

"Sunday Lunch at Ashmores is always good delicious home cooked meals without the washing up. Proper food made with love and care, and quality ingredients. I 've been to this family run restaurant numerous times and it 's always a lovely experience; from the warm greeting when you walk through the door until you say goodbye, and they make an amazing Sunday roast! The goats cheese pumpkin soup starter looked and tasted scrumptious. The roast beef was cooked perfectly super tender, served with a generous helping of all the trimmings and the baked vanilla cheesecake profiterole desserts were seriously delicious. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. It 's a real all rounder. My Mum already booked a return visit to celebrate a 'big ' birthday in December."

"I 've been here many times when my boat is moored in the area. I was looking forward to having a quiet lunch in a dog friendly place on a very hot day. The woman who served me I recognised as she had been my server many times before. The thing that struck me is despite saying I 've been here often I 'm always treated like a stranger I think a great to have you back goes a long way. The place was very quiet in terms of customers but it was so noisy ! Not their fault that building work was next door which made sitting outside unbearable , but when I struggled to bring my 3 dogs and food inside there was no offer to help. It was also very noisy inside and there was a big box of rubbish in front of the ladies loo that just seemed to sit there with no purpose, I finally asked if they could move the rubbish so I could use the loo and the woman seemed put out. My dirty plate sat around too long and the staff didn 't ask if I enjoyed my meal or if I wanted anything else. So considering how empty it was I felt my presence was a nuisance. My dogs were well behaved and when I asked for a water bowl I had to share with another dog then when a third dog came along they took my bowl away. I think they need more dog bowls if they really are to be dog friendly . One bowl to be shared amongst the whole restaurant seems cruel. In short I felt like they don 't value their daytime customers and just save their energy for the evening which is always packed therefor I think they shouldn 't bother opening for lunch except at weekends. I wanted to offer some hopefully constructive criticism personally but there was no one to say anything to hence why I am writing my feedback here"

"I always recommend urban retreat cafe for a quiet brunch between the shopping possibilities. the menu is very good, and the prices are typical for the opposite about £10 12 for a brunch with 2 eggs. I had eggs royale, which was absolutely divine and would definitely return to order. tasty juices and hot drinks also, the perfect place to catch up with a friend about brunch. the personal is courteous and welcoming, but not excessively friendly."

"Our friend recently turned 50 and performed with the band that evening, so they invited us for drinks and live music at this restaurant. The performance was fantastic and we were able to easily book a table the same day for a delicious dinner. We enjoyed a vegetarian and a chicken main course, with the standout dish being the perfectly cooked Okra. The dessert was also a mystery and added to the overall enjoyable experience. It cost £50 for two people, including two alcoholic drinks. The restaurant is easy to locate and street parking after 7:00pm is not a problem."

"I will not be returning to this restaurant. The entire experience felt unhealthy, poorly organized, and badly managed. We shared a starter before our champagne even arrived. They make you pay the bill on your way out, which is helpful in saving time at the end of your meal, but unfortunately, the staff seemed more focused on the breakfast customers around us rather than attending to the diners present. It didn’t seem worth it to complain, as the staff appeared neither interested nor equipped to handle any issues. It was a really disappointing experience. The place was busy, but I noticed many guests leaving without returning—this was for a birthday meal, which is such a shame."
