"I ordered peri peri chicken, but it was just a small plain piece of chicken with supermarket bought peri peri sauce poured on top. The chicken is supposed to be cooked with the sauce, not poured on top afterwards. The chicken tasted like it had been left out for days. The salad was barely fresh. You would n't even feed a dog that meat, never mind a human. That is how sick it was. The meal was supposed to include grilled corn, but did n't. If you don't have what is listed on the menu, why not say, instead of stealing money from a customer. At £18, the same meal and drink would have been both edible and half the price at the wetherspoon's. Why the bar staff could n't check what was being served, ask me about the meal or check-back was a disgrace. The staff only want to deal with white people. I won't return to this venue."

"This restaurant serves the best vegan pizza I've ever tried, aside from the homemade one made by someone named Yuno. But let's stay focused on the pizza at hand. I've added four photos, all of different pizzas they offer. They make their own vegan cheese with a secret recipe, which is amazing. The white pie and red pie were both delicious, with a combination of sweet and savory flavors. My favorite was the four cheese pizza because it had a sweet chili paste that was delicious. My friend loved the pear pizza, which was more like a dessert pie. However, we were approached by five people asking for money in an aggressive manner while sitting outside, so keep that in mind as it is Camden after all. Overall, I highly recommend trying their pizzas. Just go and enjoy!"

"Despite having a confirmed reservation through OpenTable, the restaurant did not have us on their booking list as they did not use the service. We ordered a starter to share and two main courses, but all the food arrived at the same time. When we inquired about the starter, we were told they were not going to serve it. The atmosphere was lively, but the venue was similar to a Wetherspoons. Overall, we were disappointed with the experience."

"Stopped for something quick to eat on a Wednesday night trip to York. Plenty of tables available and some nice ones overlooking the River. Issue was they were all full of glasses and lots covered in cigarette ash. I sat down and the glasses were cleared. I ordered via the barcode, lots of things on the menu had run out. I had the cheese stone baked pizza and fries. I had to ask when the drink was brought out to clean the cigarette ash off the table, little bit annoying. It was lovely sat overlooking the river though on a warm day, the food was ok and staff nice enough. Prices reasonable. Worth the h it for the location if you get a table outside but the tables need to be cleared properly and more often. 5 star view 3 star food, 1 star attention to detail."

"I used to live in Borrowash, and this pub, along with several others, was the go-to spot in the 70s and 80s. It’s a fantastic place, with a wonderful landlord. I’ve visited several times over the past few years, and it hasn’t lost its charm. I haven’t tried the food, so I can’t give a rating for that, but it certainly looked appealing. Overall, I’d rate the service at 4 and the atmosphere at 4."

"Lovely pub that we visit often over the summer while down in the Gower.. today November 8th) I had a letter though the door from a debt recovery company demanding I pay a £160 fine for when we called into this pub on July 24th for 20 minutes. Even though we followed all parking instructions and registered our car while visiting. After calling the company I was told it’s to late to appeal my parking charge and must pay the full amount. Even though this is the first I have heard of it. I paid by card and have evidence of our visit. But a simple NO was the answer. After doing some digging online it seems to be a regular thing as this establishment. I am absolutely furious and cannot pay this current so called bill right now before Christmas. And have no choice but to let it go to court and possibly be left with future problems with mortgages, loans, credit cards etc.. as clearly stating in bold on this letter. All for just calling in for a quick pint on a sunny summers day. Absolutely disgusting. STAY WELL AWAY JUST INCASE"

"Had a table booked for 4 and at very short notice (15 minutes) I increased it to 10. They were happy to have the increase and catered very well. The food was good. The service was good. The bill was split between families in such away that each family paid for what they had had. The whole experience was brilliant. Thank you to the staff that served us. Only 3 of us this time but as good as before. Will definitely be going there again. Food: 5"

"Excellent stay on my way back down south from Fort William after walking the West Highland Way. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and the roast dinner most filling. Breakfast was also most enjoyable. The room had been updated recently and was warm and comfortable with a very clean en suite shower room. The town was interesting and I had a lively walk back to the station along the canal. All very good value thank you. Rooms: 5"

"I wasn't sure when I saw the outside but I was pleasantly surprised when I went in. It's a decent size and a bit like a more upper class Wetherspoons in my opinion. Loads of choice on the menu and fast service. We had the fajita rice bowl and it was really tasty. Cost was £16 per dish. Full of city workers obviously, they tend to go there for lunch, my son included. Decent place. Maybe 400m from Liverpool Street station for the central line. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"Unfortunately our experience was not that great in the end for our Sunday lunch. The food was nice and the garden was good for the kids. However they didn’t take off our £20 deposit paid upfront because the booking system and billing system doesn’t link up. They told us it would take 10 days to refund which I wasn’t impressed with. Don’t book in advance and pay the deposit as it caused us a lot of hassle in the end to sort out."

"What a horrendous experience at this pub today. To be honest it’s just got worse and worse. After tapping in car reg details which already makes you feel grim .. met by miserable bar person behind the bar with no personality or warm welcome at all! Honestly we should have just had our drinks and left.. but as hungry made a terrible decision to eat. Ordered 2 roasts at £15.50 each. Arrived very quickly and just from the appearance knew it was going to be terrible Not even sure we were served beef.. grey washed out looking something.. with what I can only describe as what we’re supposed to be vegetables but burnt.. the peas didn’t even taste good.. how can you get peas wrong? It was uneatable and honestly at that point should have complained and requested a full refund.. why didn’t we? You only need to read a few reviews to understand you’re not going to be treated very kindly and things could have got a whole worse! Unfortunately this pub is not a friendly welcoming pub and the food is a disgrace.. in these times when people are struggling and that is what is served up.. it’s an embarrassment."

"Called to book a table for Live Sport. Asked on the call if sound was played for the sporting event and was advised that there would be sound for all events that day. On the day we were advised there would be no sound, and that a DJ would be appearing in a few hours. Too late to re book another venue so retained booking. Atmosphere very much setup to accommodate the Boozy Brunch options. Very poor environment to enjoy Live Sport. Ordered food using the app (x4 orders). Two orders arrived after 20mins. Asked staff numerous times to check on remaining two orders, but received no feedback. Remaining two meals arrived after over an hour since placing orders. These orders included drinks which did not arrive very poor response from staff when asking to check; and also when drinks were eventually brought to the table. Appreciate staff can be pressed when the venue was as busy as this day. However, definitely lacking in basic service. Food was also of poor quality. Would not recommend for a Live Sport booking; or for any function due to level of service on a busy day."

"than a review this is a feedback to the management regarding their policy for takeaways. Last Saturday I visited the pub to order a Burger for a takeaway. The first thing that I was told by the gentleman at the bar counter was that...they are very busy and it will take minutes for any takeaway. I said that I am ok with that and I can come back and collect it. To this , I was told that I will have to be allocated a table. I said that's ok. You can allocate a table but I will collect the food from the counter. The gentleman said that's not possible. I was not able to understand what the issue was. So I told him again that you can allot a table but I do not want to wait around for minutes, so i can come back and collect it from the counter. There was another gentleman who was listening in and told his colleague to allocate the table in front of the bar but he also said the same thing, that I can only pick up the food at the table and if I don't come back on time ,they don't want the food to lie there and get cold. I once again told him that I am going to be around the area and that I live just minutes away from the pub and finally they agreed. But in the end the burger that I wanted was not available so I ended up not buying anything from there. I would really like to understand the rationale behind this policy of having to be alloted a table for a takeaway. Wouldn't the management rather allocate that table to some one else who may order in and have a few drinks than to someone who is not going to order anything else other than wait for his takeaway. The pub is really nice but the service levels can definitely improve."

"Well you asked ……. So despite a booking for 1pm given with deposits and a pre order for a festive menu We arrived early for drinks and told that the booking was for 11.30 ? by Adrian and that he had bought staff in early to cater for us we explained it was definitely a 1pm meal we had asked for. By 1.20 starters arrived but orders were awry and no toasted bread with the terrine (which was gorgeous) It was 2pm before the mains arrived but two customers were then informed their meals had been dropped (accidents can happen) however when their Salmon meals arrived 20 minutes later it was a quite underwhelming meal served. Lumpy Sauce no roasted carrots and a small portion of salmon and a small portion of beans no check back was given on the meal to ask why. Desserts was served but no spoons for one table and when requested again Adrian told us to collect them from another table. Finally it was discovered we were a dessert light and despite asking for it again was told another diner had accepted the missing dessert. So we just said OK we would forget and the bill would be altered. Sorry to report the mince pie size was minuscule with the size of the cream it was served with. Must say folks that had the Turkey Dinner (majority) had great reviews on their food and portion sizes. The two female waiting staff were brilliant and we could tell it had seemed like a lunchtime which had caused problems however the rest of the pub was not busy and they did their very best. This was a once a year Festive affair for 20 folks which I’m sorry to say was spoilt by poor Customer Service and Food/Menu problems which could have been resolved on the day by Adrian just talking to us in an acceptable manner instead he really caused an atmosphere."

"we lived a week in arrochar and called an evening in the village inn. it is a beautiful pub and on a sunny day you can enjoy a pint at one of the many outdoors with a view of beautiful hole long. there are some vegan options that are great for a small village in rural Scotland! but unfortunately, none of these options are inspiring. in the evening you can choose more vegan from two types of burger, a tart or nachos. there are other options at midday as well as some additional vegetarian options. we both had a burger who was good enough, but nothing great. bog standard really."

"I went into this bar for a catch up with some old friends. We sat having a nice catch up when the doormen arrived. They then asked us for proof of vaccination, I provided proof in the form of my vaccination card from the nhs,...apparently this was not valid?? Turns out that one of the doormen “Jamie” has a problem with my pals. Completely unacceptable that they behave this way and absolutely incompetent. I will never go in there again. Only reason for a higher rating was that the bar staff and all the kitchen staff to be honest were lovely, however avoid evenings because the door staff are horrific."

"We went to this restaurant for a Sunday roast to celebrate a birthday, but it seemed like it was the chef's day off. The food was not good and came out cold. We sent the roasts back, but they just reheated them under the grill and brought them back out on the same plates with the utensils still on. It was a really disappointing experience, from the food to the staff. We won't be returning. The price per person was £10–20, and we would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 1."
