"I sat here for breakfast. ordered a hot chocolate and coffee we waited for 20 minutes. the waitress was polite and apologised for the delay. we ordered 2 breakfasts with toast side. When the breakfast came up, it was cold. the waitress went to foot. we told her both were cold. she apologised and said she would get 2 fresh. within a few minutes another waiter came to the table with eating again and said the cook would have given us an extra sausage. the beans in a pot, so clearly placed in a microshaft. the sausages that one was cold and the other normal ones we think our tellers had also gone straight into the microwave. when I looked at the egg, I had cut mine before when I said it was cold. but when my man had eaten his ice, it had been cut. so not fresh substitute breakfast at all, clearly mixed in the microwave and teller! the toast was warm. £25 for 2 cold breakfasts! in the microshaft heated! will never come back here. drinks were either not excessively hot the photo was attached the bottom of 2 of the egg not very appetit."

"Had a very long wait for food. In fact, as I wasn’t having a starter, I had to wait over an hour for my food. I don’t know what was going on but they seemed to have two very young inexperienced waitresses. I don’t think there was anyone in our party of 8 who didn’t have some complaint about the food and dreadful service. We went years ago and had an issue then but probably changed hands since then. Sad really but doubt if we’ll go back."

"Excellent experience! We called ahead, and despite being busy, the attentive staff quickly accommodated our group of four adults, two small children, and a baby. The employees were very attentive, and our table was clean. They even provided crayons for the kids right away. Our orders were taken efficiently, and the food arrived in a timely manner. One of the young children fell asleep, so we requested meals to go, and the waiter went above and beyond to ensure our food was freshly cooked just before we left. Overall, we received outstanding service, and I highly recommend this restaurant for families with young children. When we're back in the area, we will definitely return!"

"This is usually our family’s Italian restaurant of choice to meet up at as we all like the food it’s conveniently placed. However, on Saturday evening just gone we experienced the family from hell right behind us they just took it upon themselves to shout and scream at their kids, let the kids bounce up down on the seating , run around and adults could not care less, with the noise just getting louder and louder. The staff didn’t seem to bother about it , and proceeded to shout at us extra loud to deliver our meals as they couldn’t hear themselves think with the noise !! And seemed to be annoyed that we couldn’t hear what they were saying ??? Erm …. So why get annoyed at us. My parents who are elderly really couldn’t wait to leave which is so wrong when it was a special birthday celebration Our daughter who needs special dietary requirements couldn’t be heard when she ordered and we ended up with a problem with her meal surprise surprise ! Because we were tucked around the corner at the back no one came to check on us and towards the end we couldn’t get any attention at all Then what a surprise, who is playing in the car park next to a very fast main road in the dark) , are the kids from hell who were behind us and there was a youngster who could have easily run into the road in the dark ! But no one was checking on them ! There was one young man waiter was particularly polite and helpful I must say who stood out . Thank you to him My mum left her meal which was a special which arrived on a sizzler plate as she said all the meat was tough and my dad said the duck was overly fatty The rest of the meals were fine Yes we left a decent tip as it’s what we do but it wasn’t an enjoyable evening"

"I'm not sure if it was the fault of the booking app or the restaurant, but I made a reservation for a table for two for my girlfriend and myself. We live far apart due to work, so we don't see each other as often as we'd like. We had planned to have a romantic Valentine's meal at this restaurant on the 15th. However, when our taxi pulled up outside, the restaurant was dark and closed with no signs of life. We had never been there before and were looking forward to it, so it was disappointing that the place was not open despite our reservation being confirmed. We ended up going to Prezzo and sat next to a table of 20 people instead. It was a letdown."

"Eating outside on the terras in the evening sun was a pleasant experience. My lamb was cooked to perfection with a thin crusty layer of fat and I don't get often such a nice ratatouille. My wife had gambas with a hint of hot Chili peppers and garlic which made her also happy. The glass of wine was served with a glass of water."

"Decided pretty much on the spur of the moment to have a meal here after the cinema. Greeted without a smile and directed to a table for 2 adjacent to the main door. Every time it opened an icy blast engulfed us. We asked if we could move to a different table no problem. I ordered a steak and was told the choice of ribeye was not available so decided to opt for rump. My wife opted for the chicken and peppers in white wine sauce with rice. The waiter returned 2 minutes later to say the rump wasn't available either so I decided to have the Calzone Pizza. The meals arrived but I could see on my wife's face that she wasn't happy. Tasting it you could tell that something (I suspect the chicken) had been so badly burned that the whole meal was so bitter as to be inedible. We asked for it to be exchanged for something edible a simple Magherita. As for the Calzone, there was nothing original about it the ingredients were supermarket ham and either tinned or preserved mushroom slices accompanied by a half pint of a red liquid which I presumed was some sort of sauce. Both the pizza and it's sauce had absolutely no taste whatsoever, the pizza base was undercooked in places and the whole thing was lukewarm. The only redeeming aspect of this meal was the young lady who could smile and was very apologetic about the chicken. Perhaps we ate on an off day but from this experience we won't be back!"

"Called by for dinner and thought the location was brilliant.Seen and seated quickly, but that's where the haste dropped off, service was quite slow and I had to ask to order, and also to check where the drinks were. Didn't help that they didn't have half the drinks on the menu.The scallops for starter were great, I would highly recommend. At first they delivered the wrong main course, which I hadn't noticed until after I had put some of my potatoes and vegetables on the plate, when I drew it to the waiter's attention he admitted the mistake, he took it away and replaced it, but no offer to replace the side dishes. I felt for the other diner who had to wait a further 20 minutes for theirs, especially as their whole table had started eating.As I left a large party arrived, celebrating I believe, which were seated in the middle of the other diners, recipe for disaster! Food was good, service let it down!"

"Absolutely the best breakfast in Swansea. Everything is freshly cooked and you can view the chef at work. The food is awesome and the staff and owner are polite and cheerful. They can't do enough to make your visit there, warm and welcoming! I have consecutively had excellent service and food there on many occasions. The food and drink is reasonably priced and the portions are good. The place is always kept clean and their bathrooms are always clean, tidy, fresh and well stocked. This little restaurant cafe is a little gem in Swansea. They also serve real fresh cream with your coffee if you prefer. My son had the strawberry milkshake there, which looked amazing to the eye with whipped cream and a drizzle of strawberry sauce to complete the look. They have an upstairs dining area if the downstairs is full. It's a quaint looking cafe with beautiful stone work and wooden beams. Can't say enough about it, other than, you really should try their cuisine and hospitality."

"I called ahead to check if there was a table available as we were nearby, and was happy to hear that there was. The staff assisted me with my walker and showed us to a nice table. I appreciated the open kitchen, the aromas, and the ambiance. I ordered the calamari, which was delicious. My partner opted to skip a starter. They had the spaghetti Bolognese which looked amazing, while I had the stuffed chicken with a fantastic tomato sauce and divine vegetables. We also ordered chips, caprese salad, and focaccia as side dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious. The food was incredible, the staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. We were too full for dessert, but we had a lovely evening and will definitely be returning. Thank you for the warm hospitality, we will be back soon. Best of luck with your new restaurant venture."

"First of all, love Paesan. Great location on Exmouth Market, nice decor, always a good menu. BUT, two things: The menu is SO hard to read. Yes, my eyes are not great after a long, stressful week, but the menu is written in the tiniest font I've ever seen, and in dim light I had no choice but to embarass myself in front of my date using my phone to magnify the text. Can you PLEASE consider bigger text? Our waiter was nice but his English was terrible. Everything I said I had to repeat myself three times. Actual quotes: Me: Hi there, we're ready to order Him: More water, yes ok Me: No, ready to order. Food. We're ready to order food Him: Oh ready to order what would you like Me: She would like the sea bream Him: The chicken? "The last three times I have eaten out in London at a place chosen by someone else, it has been dire. This place was chosen by friends staying in a hotel nearby, and more than lived down to my expectations. Old school Italian can be very good indeed, if it is delivered with passion and integrity rather than cynicism and greed. Both passion and integrity were sadly lacking here. Fried squid £8.95) came in soggy, under-seasoned batter and the squid rings themselves tasted of little. A seafood pizza £13.50) was more proficiently cooked, but the main 'seafood ' element was canned tuna. We didn 't have sides except for a couple of portions of garlic bread which I avoided for the sake of my marriage) or dolce, and coffee was dire. The wines were ok and reasonable value. Service is very slow even though the restaurant was not particularly full. At £70 for three I might have put it down to experience. At over £120 it made me rather angry."

"My sister and I had just arrived from SA and didnt know it was Mothers Day. We tried to have lunch at The Rose Crown Chilton, who naturally, were fully booked. The very friendly man behind the counter said if we were happy to wait an hour, he would assist as best he could. It was well worth the wait. It was absolutely delicious. What an amazing Sunday roast offering. We shall be sure to book in time this week. What a treat. And thank you also for such friendly service. We felt so welcome."

"Well great staff and food, but service still a little off. We arrived, not that many other patrons in the restaurant, maybe 15. Quickly shown to our seat and left with the menu. First server attended took our order. The Queen started with a large 250ml Pinot Grigio Rose, £9 and I had a pepsi max, bottle, 330ml, £3.75. My wife had the lasagne with a side order of fries, £16.95 and £3. The fries was ordered off the lunch menu, they were cheaper. I had a pepperoni pizza, £13.50. Food was brilliant. I finished with a cappuccino £3.25. Our first server disappeared, she seemed to be having her own lunch. The wait for our food seemed a little longer than necessary as there did not appear to be anyone cooking, then a chef appeared. I am not saying that the experience was bad, the staff were lovely, thank you Ryan, but it just felt a little haphazard. Maybe I was just in a bad mood from driving and lingering jet-lag. Still I can recommend."

"I’m not one for negative reviews but this “Italian” left much to be desired. A sign on the door saying cash only should have set alarm bells ringing, but in we went anyway. Inside, a nice enough cellar restaurant, and pleasant staff. No drought beer, just bottled. Ok, not a problem. The wife then chose a Lasagne, I fancied a pizza. Having ordered, the waitress returned to announce, “we’ve run out of pizzas”. Really? Don’t you make them fresh?, oh well, I’ll have lasagne as well. 2 minutes later it arrived. Extremely small portions, but quite tasty, as frozen ready meals often are.F you want authentic Italian food, you won’t find it gherkin I’m afraid."
