"This was my first visit to the Rose Crown in over ten years, and it was wonderful to see that Shea's still running it and that new locals are enjoying it. The beer seemed remarkably cheap compared to other pubs I've been to over the last week, and I really enjoyed the Abingdon Bridge ale. As it was just a fleeting visit, I didn't get to try his famous carvery this time, which I've heard all about, but I will make sure to stop by to eat next time I'm back in the village!"

Always a pleasure to visit The Rose Crown. The kids love Shea's food (and so do I), and we are always made to feel very welcome there. The Sunday carvery is a must-have for anyone in the area. View menu

Best Sunday Roast around! Booked a table for a family birthday lunch, the best Sunday carvery in the area, great selection of meats and vegetables (and desserts! , fabulous value and lovely friendly service …. Very lucky to have this place in walking distance from my home.

We were made to feel very welcome on our first visit to this village pub. We live locally in Harwell but unfortunately our own village pub has recently closed down, so we had to travel a bit further afield. It was St Patrick's Day so there was a band to celebrate the occasion and the landlord also supplied free bar snacks, which were very tasty and much appreciated. It was a lovely night, thank you Shea.
