"Breakfast has varied and delicious options. We had dinner in the pub. Always busy, loud, happy with several televisions on to watch sports. We ordered the soup of the day which was yellow pea. Comforting for the cold of the day but it could have been more tasty. The Balmoral burger is very delicious, filling. The little Haddock was a nice fried hake fillet with a big portion of peas and chips. For dessert we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream: delicious. Excellent and friendly attention."

"I went to this restaurant after the theater and found the staff and atmosphere to be very pleasant. The soundtrack was good and added to the ambiance. The menu was appealing with a wide selection of dishes to choose from. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The desserts were fabulous with a good variety to choose from. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided quick and polite service. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the West End!"

"we had a great time in cru, my birthday contract, which was amazing eating, the personal was excellent and attentive, I loved the white wine, best I had, I like white and often have hardships to get a medium, not dry. that was delicious and really perfect for me. it was very cool in the restaurant, so was also comfortable for me as the temperature was unusually high outside. we will definitely come back and tell friends about it."

"That was an incredible restaurant experience! We had traveled a long way from Leicestershire and had a few nights in Blackpool. We had planned our travel weeks in advance and arranged to visit this beautiful restaurant based on their Google reviews. We were not disappointed! I took some pictures of our courts. First, the presentation was brilliant. But secondly, the food was absolutely exquisite. It was incredibly tasty, the taste was on the place and the portions were just right! This is the best Italian restaurant where we were and it was really authentic. In addition to brilliant dishes, SUPERB staff were very attentive, friendly and entertaining. We were supervised by Stefano, Nico, Francesca and Anita. I couldn't find out who the cook was, but I'm sending them my compliments! We also enjoyed our cocktails! This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. Perfect in every way! If we find ourselves in Blackpool again, we will return and do not hesitate to recommend friends and family. Thanks for a great dinner."

"Whilst wondering this lovely little town, we wondered what we should grab to eat. We thought we would play it safe by going to a non-commercial but traditional Italian restaurant. However, whilst the menu may feel like you’re sitting in Italy, there is nothing safe...about the quality of this food! I should first of all acknowledge just how receptive and warming they were to the fact that we had two infants who were part of our party. They did everything they can to make sure that they were smiling as much as we were, and able to squeeze in our buggy and luggage accordingly. The food though was absolutely delicious. The folded garlic and cheese balls to start were absolutely delicious, and oozing of salty chewiness. However both of the monk fish main courses that came out were absolutely outstanding, with very fleshy and generously portion size pieces of fish. The veal Milanese was perfectly crispy and moist in the middle. The infant size pizza was generous portion size. All of it was cooked fresh and served warm. The only thing which frustrated me was the lack of wine options that you can order by the glass. I do understand why restaurants don’t make all of their wines available, but as the only one drinking I would have liked more than just a Pino for white wine options. But this isn’t a restaurant for alcohol, this is a restaurant for well cooked food for all occasions. If I am in the area again I would easily eat here"

"My husband, son, and I recently visited San Giovanni's for the first time since before the COVID lockdown, and we were thrilled to be able to enjoy a sit-down meal experience once again. Although we have been ordering takeout meals, there is just something special about sitting around a table together. It was my 65th birthday, and this dinner was a wonderful treat. We started with garlic bread and a variety of appetizers, including tender spare ribs, meatballs, and calamari. For our main courses, I had a delicious fillet steak stroganoff with rice, my husband tried the linguine al gamberoni, and my son enjoyed his favorite, lobster ravioli. We finished off with affogato for dessert, our go-to Italian treat. We enjoyed a selection of drinks including a mojito cocktail, beer, and a lovely bottle of wine with our meals. The total bill came to a reasonable £191. One small issue was that our online reservation did not receive an acknowledgement, so we called to confirm our booking. While it was not a problem for a quiet Thursday evening, it could be disappointing on a busier night or special occasion. I would recommend calling to book in the future. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and we highly recommend San Giovanni's."

"The garlic bread and grilled vegetable starters were quite good. The aglio e olio could have used a bit more salt, but it had a lovely aroma of chili and garlic. The spaghetti marinara with seafood was divine. The clams had a bit of grit—about 1 in 15—but it was much better than my experience the night before. The service was a bit lacking for us Italians, but the owner was incredibly patient and entertaining for the kids at our table. Kudos to him! Overall, I really enjoyed the appetizers and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in the Lake District."

"We regularly visit with family and love the reasonable prices great value and delicious food every time. I am however increasingly concerned about the stairlift which has worked intermittently for the last year or two..The lift is clearly not serviced regularly as it has not been working well for a long time.We always have issues going up in the stairlift less so on the way down) . Although this is frustrating my wider concern is that if there was a fire or emergency any disabled customers would have major issues leaving the building. I’m not convinced a risk assessment has been done either as this seems to me to be a major issue. Looking at the wires today revealed 3 loose wires and one that had been cut very visible to anyone looking) not sure we will visit as regular from now as I’m worried about my stepmoms safety and want to feel confident that she is safe xx"

"a party of 27 of us visited on Saturday and the restaurant has really copied that well. a few of the waiting hired were a little vivid and brought out eating that they didn't know what it was, but apart from that it was great. eating was absolutely beautiful. 10/10. the portions are enormous! I had a pasta meal to begin and it was huge, and had filet steak in blue cheese sauce for my head and it was one of the best filets steaks I ever had. I couldn't finish my chips and by the side that came with him when I was pogged by the huge starter ol. the next time I'm back in Scarborough, I'll pay you another one."

"my friend and I visited as part of our break after skegness, after a recommendation from a friend. we're so glad we made it. eating was nice, the ambiente beautiful, the service excellent and really cheap. the portions are huge and they offer a takeaway service for everything they do not create to finish. I had followed the mushroom starter by chicken and mushroom risotto; my friend had the king garnelen followed by tagliatelle with meatballs. I couldn't blame you for our meal. the meatballs were especially delicious, delicate and beautifully seasoned. I would recommend to everyone to visit the area. it looks like they have a facelift since the last set of inside pictures, it is now super sweet"

"disappoint. while the service and the wine were good, there were two disappointing aspekte to eat. the calzone was very tasteless and the ham in the inner was incredibly thin and mostly fat that I had to cut off. the tiramisu seemed to have no alcohol in it and was very dirty. we took two friends with us who visited the united kingdom and who made the experience even more disappointing. would not come back even though a small tipp left as the personal was great."

"yo motha. went to brasserie fish on mothers day and so could the bad performance of customers be overwhelmed, but it didn't seem full. arrived and first black brand was that they apparently did not have the ability to hang our moms and shals on a cold day, so they stayed around the chairs. much was on the menu, like the lobster bisque, and the seafood cahowder was recommended instead. when it came, it was currently a tomato soup with overcooked white fish in it. on a main course of spaghetti crab, which was served so thin in a sauce, it would probably have qualified as anorexic in a fashion house in mailand! the plus pretty unattended waiting...read more"

"My sister and brother-in-law's friends from Cornwall, who live in Filey, arranged for a group of eight of us to dine at San Marco. We received a warm welcome from who I assume was the owner and were seated at a window table. The music was excessively loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. My husband and I were seated next to a speaker, so it was particularly bothersome for us. The food we ordered was decent overall, though my seafood calzone had a slightly soggy base, but was nonetheless tasty. My sister-in-law was not impressed with the garlic mushrooms she ordered as a starter. After trying one, I was relieved I had not chosen them myself as they were not very good. If we were to visit Filey again, we would likely seek out a different dining option."

"My friend booked this and was reassured they had a separate GF menu and was Coeliac safe. When we arrived the waitress informed me there was no GF menu and ‘all’ pasta could be made GF. This didn’t quite reassure me as not all sauces looked to be GF. The manager came out and was a lot more reassuring. I proceeded to order the Pasta Arrabiata and garlic mushrooms. I was already slightly on edge. The food came out within 10 mins which was extremely fast but also again concerning (cross contamination, less careful timing). The food tasted amazing. 4 hours later the Coeliac in me hit and I had a huge flare up. I will not be going to this restaurant again. NOT COELIAC FRIENDLY. Reassurance in a restaurant is so important and honesty too and I didn’t feel comfortable or confident."

"really enjoyed. beautiful small restaurant with about 20 places. we wanted fish and the dishes were nice. especially enjoyed the hot spiced crab. Perhaps a small selection of sauces (white wine and cream-based was almost everything) would be better, but understand the restrictions of a small kitchen. dessert was also very nice. Cash-only is a massive pain in these days (has to go to a cash machine for the first time in a year), but that seems to be how they want to run it. the steaks saw amazing btw, something jealous."
