"I had minestrone soup and penne bolognese. Felt authentic but relatively tasteless, had to take quite a lot of pepper and salt and parmesan cheese. I would have liked a little more intense tomato flavor and more herbs. Good bread for the soup. The pasta was overcooked and the tomato sauce a little burnt but very nicely presented. Still bottled water was very good (Acqua Panna Tuscany) The Esperanto macchiato afterwards had a lot of foam, big as a lungo but good and strong. Nice waitress but the restaurant looked a bit like a school canteen."

"Had a lovely meal and a couple of fantastic cocktails. Service was excellent, from booking over the phone, on entry to ordering/service. We had Thai samosas and another veggie starter which were both delicious followed by cod on squid ink risotto and a veggie risotto for me. The only comment I would make is that the veggie risotto was quite liquidy (so not stodgy like every other risotto I've had). It left me feeling like I needed dessert (pear tart), unlike my sisters who had normal consistency risotto under her cod and squid and couldn't finish it. Even with a dinner party of about 20 people going on we managed to receive our food in good time. Ambiance was lovely and the view of the Tower of London and Bridge brilliant. Will pop in again if in the area."

"So it seems , they’ve changed the menu , not impressed , no beef Bourgogne included on the bistro menu .. opted for steak frites , a little ropey . And well sticky toffee pudding now is a Madeline with sauce on the top .. yuk .. I was not happy about these changes at all . Staff are always nice but our order went a wry , but I’d like to add apologies were made ."

"10 Punkte I very much enjoyed my visit. As an architect, the design has a true sense of place that feels perfect. The tables are spaced perfectly for enough privacy but still feeling like part of the whole. Even the best restaurants often struggle with noise and lighting but the bubble of conversation from other tables was just right and the nice pool of light at each table was wonderful. I salute your architects and the client sensitive enough to ask for such quality. The service was warm and professional. The bread/butter, gnocchi, ox cheek and cheesecake were tasty and inventive as was the cocktail and wine selection. The ox cheek was a standout being so tender. My only problem was that the gnocchi was way too salty. Without hesitation it was replaced (still a bit too salty) but the ox cheek was perfect. Unfortunately, I am traveling alone this time but it would be a fantastic experience to share with someone as I observed at the other tables. I also enjoyed the sense of mystery created by how you enter. Thank you."

"The service was very good and both our starters were very nice. I had the lamb ragou which was very rich and a bit too spicy for my taste,my husband had a steak which was overly salty. The manager gave us a refund on the steak which was very nice but we would have preferred to have had a good meal"

"I go to The Plough fairly regularly for food and drinks but always leave feeling a little underwhelmed and overcharged. The ambience and atmosphere is always great; both inside and outside you’ll get a great buzz and a pleasant place to sit. The menu is on paper excellent. I’ve eaten there for brunch and dinner and there is something for everyone. Most recently I had a full English there. It cost £16 and the plate was mostly filled with pretty sorry looking undercooked mushrooms and tomatoes. The one sausage was very nice but the streaky bacon was a bit chewy. For £16 it was underwhelming, which is a theme that translates to the dinner menu as well. You rarely feel like the food matches the price tag. This overpricing extends to drinks as well, which are far more expensive than in similar local gastropubs. I lot of people like The Plough and I can see why but if you’re into food there are better local options that won’t hurt your wallet as much."

"my plate with steak and chips on it was cold, so I asked the waitress to ask the kitchen on a hot plate. I saw the waitress go to the kitchen, but I never saw her again until I had finished my meal except that I left the half of the cold chips. I asked for the bill and to talk to the manager who came and told me that the kitchen was cleaned and the heating was switched off so that they were not in the position to supply a hot plate."

"I am a HUGE Cote fan have gone on a regular basis for years with friends family in Glasgow London. Most recently in December Visited last night with friends was embarrassed as I chose to eat there booked telling them it was great tasty food, great value great wines. food was bland, not great, not a lot of it they only had 3 types of gin drinks were slow to come had to be chased on 3 occasions restaurant was only at best half full, so no idea why we had to continually chase drinks that did not arrive. I really don't enjoy posting this review as previously I have always enjoyed the food had a good dining experience liked the set menu a la carte choice. It looks like maybe the cost of living crisis has hit the chef recipes/ingredients/quality have dipped significantly. None of my friends had previously been to Cote so not a great experience for them on my recommendation"

"After stumbling upon this restaurant while searching for a place to eat, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were seated promptly and given the option to taste the wine before ordering a bottle. The staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit, even going out of their way to plan a surprise for me. The food was top-notch and definitely worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant - 11/10. Overall, an amazing experience."

"It took nearly 20 minutes just to get our drink order taken. Once our food order was taken, we found out half an hour later that half the items we ordered were out. Our medium steaks came out well done and rubbery. Dishwater from the bar splashed on us more than once at our table. Very disappointed."

"An Outstanding Link in the Chain. There is only so much you can write about chain restaurants, you either rate Pizza Express pizzas or you don't. Personally I don't think they are spectacular, but thoroughly decent. What makes this branch something a bit special are the staff the setting. The staff are friendly helpful as you would hope for in a neck of the woods with so much competition. The setting, right on the Stockbridge itself jutting out over the Water of Leith is spectacular. One table in particular is great, a little booth, surrounded by glass, looking right over the river, but most tables are near enough to windows to give you a great view."

"This restaurant is one of the few places I visit on a regular basis and have done so over many years, many of our family and friends have now added it to there most frequent place to eat ,It gets very busy and we do have to sometimes wait ,but it is well worth it. I have a gluten and wheat allergy so I have some of my family so have to be very careful where and what we eat ,I am always worried about eating out so have to always double check there is nothing in what I order at any restaurants this is the only place I have used on a regular basis ,I have never had a problem here ,The good thing about Pakistani food is they never put wheat in as filler wheat is used in some dishes so ask first There are a variety of delicious flavors to choose from but once you have visited be aware you will want to keep going back , everyone I have taken have ended up being regular visitors to the restaurant my favorite dish Masala fish , these are also worth trying lamb Tikka grilled small pieces of lamb their mixed grill ,lamb Tikka Masala, chicken Pakora`s they are very busy and food is cooked fresh. These are authentic dishes with some very beautiful authentic flavors they do a variety of sweet dishes ,ice creams and drinks their mango milk shake is a favorite for my grandchildren , If you have anyone who may not want to eat spicy food just tell them they will always try to accommodate you .there is something for everyone .we went recently and yes we had to wait a little while but our guests said after eating ,they can now see why this is such a very busy restaurant and it was worth the 10 minute wait . sometimes there are 20 people in our party and we have never yet had a problem with the service staff are very friendly and happy to advice ,They do a take away service also They will also reserved tables for you 202-208 Ladypool Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham B12 8JS open from 12 Noon to 5 AM"

"terrible eating, terrible and rude service at thai dusit in derby. I must admit that I had the most terrible experience in this restaurant. the food was badly cooked, gummy, bought in frozen mull that we found incredible! when I said to the waitress that the Thai fish cake I had for the starter (in the menu as original famous, I don't think! weren't very nice that she recognized my complaining. When my man asked to taste the cook, the manager came out of the fire. she said it was normal (not very pleasant, either it was actually chewing, watery and generally disgusting. then we were told that no one complained and when I said we... read more"

"Anis looked after us last night, taking our orders and making sure everything was perfect. He was very welcoming and smiled a lot, making sure all our needs were met. He was truly a delight and the best thing about Trader's Vics. I used to go a lot in Dubai as I loved the food and atmosphere, but in London the food was not as great as I remembered it to be, but Anis made up for it with his kind words and big smile, He is definitely an asset to this place, I wish him all the best."

"Had a roast here, was very nice. Only down side was we looked at the menu online to see they did Turkey, but when we arrived they didn't have any. a little bit disappointed as we picked this pla e for the Turkey Roast. Had the beef instead and it was lovely. My partner had the Lamb which was also tender and lovely. Will definitely be back again, hopefully when they are serving Turkey . Price per person: £40–50"

"Primitivo Bar Eatery in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District celebrate their Anniversary this week. Coincidentally, its also me and my wife's Anniversary this week. So where better to enjoy lunch in the sun. The weather was incredible, a pavement table was available and...Rishi Sunak was footing of the bill up to a maximum of per person. If there was a fruit machine in the bar, it would be the equivalent of scoring three big ticks followed by an endless waterfall of coins. Primitivo reopened two weeks ago with a full array of safety precautions; foot operated sanitizers, protective screens, a one way system and a food menu allowing reduced numbers of staff in the kitchen. There’s even single visitor loos on hand so no more taking your friend with you. There’s even a new South American beer, Modelo for those who want to avoid the C word. I opted for Sparkling Water, with temperatures north of degrees centigrade, it went down like Champagne. I was in a Glasgow Wetherspoons last week and ordered Haddock and Chips. I’m not saying it was intimidating but even the fish ran out. Back in Brum, Primitivo are thankfully more on the ball with stock levels. Despite half a century and at least hours of unwrapping fish and chips, I can’t claim to be an expert but this was, as my daughter would say, ‘fire.’ For readers above the age of the Haddock and Chips; beer battered haddock, hand cut chips, mushy peas and tart sauce is a very good thing. Anji chose the Thai Fishcake; delicately spiced with chilli and lime, fresh spring onion salad and sweet chilli dressing with a side of Fries (V) She kindly offered me some and it was awesome. The kitchen boasts local gastronomic heritage, Chef Murray is non other than local legend Paul Fulford’s son. It’s like going to Guitar Guitar on Hagley Road and buying a Fender from Eric Clapton’s kid. Both meals, a side and soft drinks allowed us to take full advantage of Rishi’s Eat Out to Help Out cap of per person. Eat Out to Help Out runs until the end of August. It’s good to see Government use Nudge Economics to encourage those who can, venture out and support the hospitality industry. VAT has also been temporarily reduced from to We learned this morning we are officially in recession. Supporting local independent businesses is the fast track to get our region back into the fast lane. The money spent in venues such as Primitivo fund the wages of it’s staff and are reinvested locally. Thank you to all the team for a fabulous experience. Congratulations Prit on your Anniversary."

"Myself and my girlfriend were staying in Mallaig and arrived late and were turned away from another rest as it was 20:00 we saw the lights on up at the Terrace so thought we would try it out. upon arrival I could tell that we were just in time to make the cut off. The head waiter said they could accommodate and we were shown to our seats. The place was very nice, elegantly set up with great music selection. The staff were very attentive and friendly and were very helpful in choosing the right dish for pregnant GF. Julie was absolutely lovely and explained it was their first night opening again after a devastating arson attack shut them down. The food was very good, I had Cullen skink to start which was lovely as was the bread it was served with. My GF had deconstructed chicken cesar salad which was also lovely and an interesting interpretation of the dish. We both had braised beef with sautéed sprouts and truffle mash which was very nice. We also had a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a passion fruit sorbet as a pallet cleanser. Overall we loved our experience and the chef even popped out to make sure we were happy, he is clearly very capable and long may it continue! All the best guys, you deserve good fortune!"

"After Italmania on Union Street shut down a few years ago I struggled to find an Italian in Glasgow that done a really good carbonara. The carbonara here is delicious. I would recommend the rose wine on the wine list, it's odd but worth it, I would also reccomend the garlic bread with cheese, the bread is more like pan bread and not the usual garlic baggette you get elsewhere. The staff are great, the food is amazing. I used to go here every Friday for lunch (before I bought a house and became permanently skint) and would always get half pizza half pasta with a friend which was always amazing. They also do a thing called Viva Gold, if you say this when booking and it's within the set timescales of the deal you can get between off the food bill depending on the day. Check their website for times before booking."
