"Hungover and wanted a carvery delivered. The meat was the texture of what could only be described as, cabbage? almost as if it was boiled and watered down, tasteless to say the least. The promise of home made stuffing came to a burning halt when...i opened the box only to find out that I was sold a dream so be faced with a grey ball that was the texture of sand?? the roast potatoes were raw yet soggy? Don’t even get me started on the ‘cauliflower cheese’, nothing like dry cauliflower with no cheese. the array of 2 different vegetables was honestly what’s not to love about raw hard veg. Oh and not to mention it was stone cold upon arrival. Delivery time took 2 hours. Needless to say this is nothing short of an abysmal meal. but a let down with no other than smash and aunt betsy’s yorkshire puddings. wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy."

"Upon our arrival, a young man showed us to our table but quickly departed without inquiring if the location was to our liking. I expected him to take a moment to welcome us. I noticed that other groups who arrived after us were treated in the same indifferent way, which stood in stark contrast to the warm and friendly service we received from our waiter Craig. "fade street social had a few different dining rooms, one that on fade street, another that has a look at the kitchen and I also think others upstairs (I didn't eat at the tables above) I was a few times. the service is always excellent, eating amazing (more in a second) with a wine list that compliments what they want to eat, there are also many beer options and cocktails that are as beautiful as they are delicious! now eat that. if you go, you have the chateaubriand! while eating is great, the chateaubriand is phenomenal. don't even think about it. share one of their chateaubriand with whom they are with and try to be polite when they are down on the last disc or not be and take it for themselves! if they still have burst, the pavlowa is the way to dessert"

"Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20-minute walk from there, so not much different than a venue in Twickenham town center. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note that there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was busy with many other customers who had also been to the rugby match. We received a warm welcome, and the service throughout was friendly and efficient. For starters, we had dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari, and whitebait. For mains, we had carbonara, calzone, and sea bass fillets, all served with salad or chips. The portions were generous and very tasty, and the food and wine were reasonably priced. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cafe Venice and will definitely be returning."

"We arrived at 19.30 as booked on the Saturday before Christmas. We were taken to the table, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. We chose an Australian Chardonnay from a selection of four or five whites. When the wine arrived we were asked what we would like to order to be told that there was no fish and no steak. Both of which would have been choices for my family. So the choice was burgers or pasta. We considered leaving but decided to stay. It took over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the restaurant was not busy, so we needed another bottle of wine: none left only Sauvignon Blanc. When the food did arrive in fairness it was hot and tasty, the service was from a very tired waitress who tried to be helpful. But none of us actually hate what we would have had as a first choice. So sorry to the restaurant but no recommendation from me."

"Stopped at Helen's Teashop in Burton upon Trent for a cup of coffee and a snack when passing through the area. It is a traditional' cafe that seems to appeal in the main to a more mature senior clientele. Plenty of things to choose...from but I went for a regular latte coffee and an Eccles Cake, taken at one of their Market Square outside tables. The Eccles Cake had a very nice base, almost like toffee and it went down very well with my coffee. The Eccles Cake was also good value. In general Helen's Cafe was pleasant enough but I just felt it was a little too dated to entice me back regularly. Highly recommend the Eccles Cakes though!"

"it was so good to go back to the parson woodforde today that allyson steve is at the tax. a so beautiful pub, recently reopened and worth a visit. lunch was absolutely excellent, the leber and speck was for dying. After we ate in the drayton old lodge at many occasions, we were thrilled to hear that this amazing couple had taken over this pub and gave us a reliable spot to catch up with friends. I could add that we have to travel there for an hour and half a time, but it is worth it. when the opportunity appears, we will certainly use the beautiful accommodation and then they can enjoy the full monty breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner! a beautiful greeting, especially for our labor, harvey, (ventilated in the bar area), which the experience as much as we enjoyed. thanks to allyson and her personal for such a nice lunch time, we will be back! especially when my favorite shiraz was reminded and produced at my arrival how good this is! I wish them all very best in their new venture."

"We all had a wonderful dining experience at Hasturk. There was a wide variety of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages to choose from. "Went here with a group of friends for the ABBA evening, price included a choice of food platters. Food service was a shambles, my friend and I had ordered one cheese and one antipasti platter, it was given to us , then taken away as apparently wasn’t ours, we were then served a cheese board, just cheese, lots of it, with a few crackers…no antipasti …so I went to ask where it was to be told they didn’t think they had anymore, guess someone ran out to Aldi as something did eventually turn up 20 minutes later…. Another in our group waited over 30 minutes for hers and, yes you guessed, it was wrong! We had all paid the venue direct and said we were part of the group booking, maybe it would have been useful if they had taken names with the pre-paid orders to avoid all the confusion. The entertainment was ok but the lip syncing not great, had thought it was going to be more ‘live vocals’ but realistically they could just have had a DJ playing ABBA songs. As a group we had fun, as we always do, but don’t think we will be returning to this venue."

"I ate yesterday in this restaurant with a few friends and really enjoyed the fantastic and freshly prepared eating. I had a Jupiter pizza that was chorizo, mushroom and basilikum. it was so delicious and at a great price on the bargain lunch menu of £6 for a 9 inch pizza. the environment was nice, cozy and comfortable and the waitress was friendly. we didn't have to wait long for our lunch, either what is great for a lunchtime. I called the restaurant today, as I was worried about plastikstroh in our drinks. I was sure that the green colored straws are biodegradable. while I'd rather see paper straws, that's a good start. the coworker also told me that they plan to deviate from plastic in other areas such as plastic sauce bottles. it would be great to see that they are somewhat more visible with the plastic question, but for food quality, great value and excellent service they receive full traces of me"

"Beautiful getaway for two. Breakfast was great (buffet or you can to look at menu however they don't give it, so you'll have to ask for it). Definitely recommended going for a walk and explore the grounds (check out leaflet at front desk). The rooms had everything you need (clean and everything worked) Late check out without charge. Drinks at bar were expensive. Spa was honestly amazing, one of the best, felt really relaxed. We could have used the spa facilities, but decided not to. There was a outdoor pool, indoor pool, jacuzzi (small in the inside pool area), steam, sauna, a nail tech and a snooker room. Brilliant time overall."

"Had my 65th birthday lunch here . There were 9 of us and I was delighted to find that we were seated in a private dining room upstairs . It was absolutely perfect . The food was very good , well cooked and good value . Everyone had a wonderful time and the staff were very friendly and effective . The restaurant is definitely a step up from say a gastro pub /bistro . But without being in the fussy fine dining end of eating out . I you have a small lunch/dinner party then having one of the private rooms makes for a delightful experience that I can heartily recommend"

"Went for afternoon tea. £25 for two people. Poor start to the experience, we asked the girl serving us some basic questions about the menu and she couldn 't answer a single one, so she checked with another member of staff, this happened 4 times and eventually she gave up and sent over the other member of staff and we finally ordered. The afternoon tea consisted of 1 sandwich each (cut into 3 fingers) so only 1 flavour each (I had egg, my husband had salmon and cream cheese) hardly a selection of sandwiches as per the menu. 1 small cherry scone each with jam and cream (whipped not clotted) and 3 very small petit fours each. For £25 I would have expected a lot more food, perhaps a slice of cake (they had tonnes of homemade cakes on the counter which looked nice). Food was very basic, the egg mayo was just that, no cress etc. Salmon and cream cheese had very little filling. Cherry scone was bland and stodgy in the middle. Petit fours were small and nothing exciting. Overall for what we had I would have only paid around £10 £15 max. The man who eventually served us was a very pleasant guy, and he seemed a little embarrassed by our response to the lack of food, he did offer to get the chef to make us some additional sandwiches if needed. The place was very quite and I felt like the other guests were starring at us so I didn 't want to make a scene so rather than take him up on the offer we paid up and left. This was meant to be a special treat to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, but instead we were left disappointed and hungry."

"Strange main entrance, didn t seem to be a reception place to advise we d arrived for our booking. Found someone at the bar to inform in the end. Good they gave us a table a short distance in as requested in our booking due to mobility issues. Seats comfortable in a booth. The window blinds were all down which made you feel enclosed and the dining room was brightly lit, not much character to it. Service was good, just one reminder for drinks which were forgotten about, Food tasty, though my curry wasn t but the rest in my party were happy enough, mine was just a bland sauce thing, not really like a curry. Lots of alcohol in the desserts, so if you don t like whiskey etc, the choice became limited. Generally a good list of things on menu to eat. Enjoyable evening ni the less and would suggest you should try it and see if you like it as an alternative place to visit in future."
