"we approached the writing and asked for a table of 6 to say: "Don't worry about anything until 8 o'clock". that was around 6.05 clock, the restaurant was half empty ... so we went online for 6.15 clock with open re-entered ... told them we had a reservation, observed “some heated words”. between the staff and we were taken to a perfectly empty table for 6. just 50 minutes waiting for our food. that said our server was friendly and apologetic. eating was ok, 2 pizzas, 3 calzones and a sirloin steak, that was definitiw rump, as it was to think and took hard to sirloin! to the happiness we have a taste card so that the meal with a softdrink cost only £10 per head, and we were limited due to a cinema booking for time. lection learned book before entering, and use it taste card, not sure that I would have paid the bill in full amount, we had not discounted!"

"My partner and I went to this restaurant for our Valentine's Day date after making a reservation online. We were greeted by a welcoming hostess who seated us at our table and took care of us throughout the evening. She inquired about any dietary restrictions and provided me with a gluten-free menu. Although I have seen more extensive gluten-free options at other restaurants, I was pleased to have a variety of choices for my main meal. The hostess mentioned that our meals might not arrive at the same time, which was fine with me, but I was unsure why they couldn't coordinate the timing better. Despite this, our main courses did arrive together, with two staff members bringing them out. However, my partner's dish took longer to arrive, and we were unsure why. We started with potato skins (gluten-free) and garlic bread, followed by a barbecue chicken pizza (gluten-free, with a tomato base instead of barbecue sauce) and a margherita pizza. The drink menu offered a great selection of alcoholic beverages and cocktails. I ordered an old fashioned but asked for it without the popcorn syrup because I was concerned it would alter the taste. The hostess reassured me that she could customize it to my liking, which was much appreciated."

"We have eaten many times in this restaurant in recent years, but it seems to us that the service and restaurant itself is getting worse and worse! First, on our last visit the host said that our booking NOT about Open Table fortunately we were happy that another couple had canceled, so we had their table. It took a very long time to serve our main course after we had finished our appetizers, I had to ask the staff 3 times where the food was, each time it was explained that we showed a cinema to get, we had booked the restaurant for an hour and half before our departure, so it should have been a lot of time to serve our food and have eaten for us. The chicken pasta was bland and tasteless, so hardly was eaten. Finally, the music was played so loud in the restaurant that we had to scream to have heard us; not what you would expect in a restaurant. We won't come to visit there for a long time!"

"I used to eat here a lot but the food has dropped in standard the double bacon cheese burger had salad which consisted of only lettuce and very little of that the mayonnaise looked like it had been scraped on with a butter knife to give you the least amount possible the burgers were pretty low quality and the bacon was overcooked it look nothing like the picture on the menu. My wife had the pasta which although she ate it all made her feel queasy for the rest of the night so Unless things improve drastically I won’t be eating there ever again it’s a shame because it used to be such a great place and the staff are really nice"

"I recently visited Frankie and bennys at the rock with my boyfriend. We couldn’t order on the app as it wasn’t working so the waitress was straight over and took our order. The starters come out pretty much straight away and were delicious! Garlic pizza...was worth it, however I got the Mac and cheese bites, and for the price of it you only get which I was slightly disappointed in. The mains took quite awhile to come out, but it was quite busy with the lunchtime rush, so didn’t mind waiting. I ordered the chicken Parma hero sub and it was honestly amazing!! recommend! Although don’t get a starter as it’s so big I couldn’t finish it, which I was upset about because it was so good! My boyfriend got the classic cheese burger, however it was very over cooked and didn’t taste very nice, looked like cheap quality meat. He hardly touched his meal which was a shame. Overall I was happy with the service and the meal, however don’t order the burger as you will be disappointed!"

"Celebrated my granddaughter’s 12 birthday meal at this top class restaurant. Warm welcome on arrival and the gentleman who served us went way and above to ensure it was a meal to remember. This gentleman couldn’t do enough to ensure all our food was cooked to our satisfaction. An employee that the owners should be proud off. "personal and service: personal was very friendly, funny, social and very welcoming! we enjoyed our time and had a big laugh. very ingenious main course eating and drinking: eating was okay, the portions were more than generous and the presentation was a little chaotic, but definitiw okay. the chicken and the ribs were sad a little dry, but slightly balanced with the marinade and BBQ sauce. the chips were both soft and crispy and tasted great. the steak after my companion was cooked as desired and tasted amazing. the mood was really cold, everyone laughed, people were nice, the place gave me American vibes funny enough, but the mood was overall very good. dessert: the Belgian chocolate wing cake was super delicious. I liked the creamy chocolate and the overall cake. the presentation of the cake was very nice and served with a smile. the restaurant was clean, the places to sit were good, and the price fits almost to eat. I think it's a little on the high side, but overall good! the water was free, which was really nice! I would recommend a crash here with some friends or even a date. (time for food arrival: 20 mins"

"We'd originally tried an independent place but turned out the great vegan menu on their website was no more available, so last minute trip to a chain. We were served really quickly, and I think their vegan options were different to last time I'd been. I went for lots of vegan cheese options. Nearly £13 for a pasta dish felt a bit much, but it was filling with lots of flavour and loaded with more than just tomato sauce. The dessert was very sweet and rich; I'd share one next time."

"We went to Frankie and Benny’s for a delicious authentic Italian lunch as we were getting hungry and wanted to break up a jubilee line journey from Stratford to Green park and remembered this was here and having been once before and liking it I decided to go back.The service was exemplary,our waiter was just fantastic very friendly,chatty and polite.He handed my gluten free allergy really well.Also food came out in about 10 minutes which was great bearing in mind it was all so fresh!The food was absolutely delicious,my gluten free pepperoni pizza was heavenly and you couldn’t get more Italian than a Frankie’s gluten free pepperoni pizza.It was lovely and hot,presented well,good portion sizes,extremely fresh and very good for money!Infact if you visit at lunch time you get 1 course for £9.90.That’s fantastic value and better value than places like Nando’s etc.And with just buying tap water it’s a real bargain which is great as water is one of my favourite drinks,you can never ever ever go wrong with a glass of water.It’s good for you and boots you’re hydration and well-being.Also the decor in here is lovely,all very fresh and beautifully decorated.I love the new Frankie’s decor it’s just so nice and I love it how they have re-visited it.It’s much cooler(temperature wise and fashion wise).I love the lights as well.It is also very spacious and clean.Also toilets were convenient and clean.This is a perfect place for a meal if you are on a train journey,before or after shopping, cinema,bowling or concert.Or after a trampoline session,skydiving session,climbing session or during a day out in London.Would highly recommend this.I reviewed it on tripadvisor as they were displaying the 2022 travellers choice award and they had quite a lot of negative reviews recently and to share my positive experience may help them have that award again this year or in future years"

"I believe Ocean terminal has the worst Frank&Benny’s I ever had a chance to visit. I had dinner in this place couple times now before cinema. Every time I was disappointed and because of how bad food was last time, I won’t be coming again… First of all Garlic bread , if you can even call it like that as it’s nothing like garlic bread , it’s pizza dough that’s absolutely drowning in oil!! Hardly taste any garlic , absolutely terrible. Buttermilk chicken burger was the worst burger I ever ate, chicken was drowning in oil !! It was so greasy that after couple bites my stomach actually started to hurt. I left most of my meal on plate. Why I planned to still pay for it even though I don’t think I should’ve since burger was cooked terribly) I was really surprised when server came to take dishes and saw my plate was half full, she didn’t even asked was there something wrong with food. This wasn’t the first time I was served terribly cooked food here but it was definitely worst."

The food was amazing! And the atmosphere was great. There are a great team of staff who seem very happy to work there as they were all very bubbly and friendly even though the restaurant was very busy. They didn’t seem to be under any pressure. "I understand that it was Mother's Day, but a reservation should not have been accepted if there was no possibility of being seated close to the scheduled time. My group of six, including two young children, had to wait by the front door for 25 minutes past our reservation time. We were then instructed to wait at the crowded bar, which was being used as a makeshift waiting area. Eventually, we gave up and left as it seemed like there was no organization or control. The staff blamed the delays on the kitchen, but it appeared that they had lost control of the situation. People were cutting in line and being escorted directly to the bar, with no consideration given to those who had been waiting. It was clear that the restaurant was not prepared for the busy Mother's Day rush."

"Came to Frankie and Benny’s on Thursday evening with a friend. There was only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant and looking back it’s easy to see why! Signs on the tables suggested app service but when trying to use this and type in our table number, error message kept coming up saying there was no account open on our table. Waited another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our drinks order. After eventually ordering food, we waited around 10 minutes for starters. My friend said her potato skins tasted frozen and weren’t very nice, and my crispy squid was a soggy mess. For mains, my friend had chicken parmagiana which she said the pasta was bland and chicken was cold in the middle. I had carbonara and paid extra for chicken to be added as a topping. Well… ive had nicer carbonaras from the supermarket ready meal shelf. The whole dish was obviously from frozen, the chicken was diced into tiny cubes with a weird texture and the sauce was bland. Our onion rings and corn cobs that we ordered as sides were cold. We never received a checkback and even when the waiter (a young man who seemed like he didn’t have a clue) came to clear our full plates (we both left almost the entire meals) he didnt even ask if everything was okay or seem curious as to why we left the food. Paid the bill but will never return to frankie and bennys, we heard the table next to us complaining amongst themselves that the food was bad as well. Frankie and benny’s used to be a nice restaurant, always seemed to be fresh and was always busy. But now it’s a sad excuse for an italian american restaurant. The menu hosts some of the simplest things to cook (pasta, rice etc) but the chefs can’t even seem to do this from fresh. Two of the chefs, a man and woman were too busy canoodling and flirting in the kitchen to be cooking any food anyway. Absolutely awful and a total waste of time and money."
