"tapas dinner was quite impressive. faster service also. the cheapest red was an affordable ÂŁ23 and quite pleasant and light. the three of us ordered 6 tapas, which was enough when none of us were ravenous. the waiter recommends 2 to 3 tapas per person. the salt-chid brand was the first plate to arrive, and was rich and thrown with some tart tomaten as well as a sous vide runny eigelb. accompanying crostina were delicately thin and brittle, which was a beautiful contrast in the texture. trĂźffelmac and cheese had arrived next door. very tasty, but the sauce was somewhat too liquid for my taste. pasta could also have been firmer. again a good idea to texture in this plate, as it contained crispy brothcrumbs, which actually contained truffles, not only truffle oil. the bark tars had arrived next door. quite fresh and even aggressive sour with picked enoki mushrooms and microcutters. after the rich mac and cheese, the sharp aromes gave a welcome contrast. I could've noticed the bad ones less. bavette steak was one of the star orders. brussel tops, sweet roast cauliflower and a opaque sauce as well as thin slices of seldom grilled steak, which is a good strategy for a cut that can be a bit hard. grilled chicken leg with salsify, sage and apricot was another excellent dish. I love greetings, but can not be harassed to cook it home because the cleaning is such a choir. very delicate grilled chicken. texture was added by the apricoses, which were added as thin dewatered shaves, chewiness. the jafit of the black bell was another satisfying court. fat, salty, with crispy skin and sitting on a stew of cockerbsen and pancetta. in general, eating was well done and well thought out. service was efficient. they were totally unfazed when we told them we had to pay with the card right now because our over arrived in a minute. in March 2019, all the restaurants of the salt yard group offer a 50% discount on the lunch and dinner on Sunday. check out the section offers of the hot dinner website to book instructions for the special deal."

"I have dined at this restaurant on several occasions previously and had a very positive experience, which was the case again on this visit. The decor and ambience is very understated and elegant and the atmosphere is relaxed with friendly and motivated staff. On this occasion, I felt the service at the beginning was a little slow in terms of acquiring menus and taking orders. This was possibly due to multiple tables all ready to order at the same time, one main waiter that I could see, (there may have been more) and not wanting to overwhelm the kitchen. Having said that, both the waiter and Manager were very professional and attentive when you did require service. I had the 3 course set lunch menu which was great value, a high standard of cooking and a generous portion size. My friend chose from the al a carte menu and she declared that her roasted cauliflower dish was truly delicious, so full flavour and beautifully presented. We did not feel rushed during our visit having spent approximately 2 and half hours over lunch and the settlement of the bill was easy and correct. The restaurant is spotless as are the restrooms and it is very clear that the Manager and his team take great pride in making their clients experience a positively memorable one. This restaurant deserves it's many accolades and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for good authentic food and friendly service."

"What a delight! First time to this branch. I travel a lot and often have to dine solo which I don't mind. Some restaurants single you out but CĂ´te Brasserie are very welcoming to all guests. Despite how busy they were on a Saturday evening, I was warmly greeted upon arriving, seated at a nice table and had excellent service throughout. Staff were attentive, yet left guests to dine in peace and enjoy their meal. I am a big fan of customer service. I have just come back from Japan where service is outstanding. I always find in the UK, we are one of the worse for service. However, CĂ´te Brasserie is starting to make me have faith again. Well done! Great menu of French classics but there are other options too including steaks and salads. Hearty but good food. Calories and nutritional information are displayed on the menu which is helpful. I had the vegan CĂ´te burger which came with frites. Freshly made, well presented and delicious. Messy to eat but so good. My Saturday treat! I actually felt shy when I fully cleaned up my plate but I was hungry and was looking forward to a burger. It delivered. I had a still water to drink so I was a bit healthy! Lovely branch with mainly indoor seating, plus a few tables outside. Lovely ambience and nice views too. They are busy given location so book a table. A lot of people were turned away or had to come back. Clean. Dessert looked good but I was stuffed. What CĂ´te have also done well is not put up prices too much, especially in comparison to competitors. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend."

"I had the lamb which was cooked perfectly. The chips were cold with no heat at all and this was the same for all of us. The chips may have been lovely hot, but cold they certainly weren 't. Perhaps we should have sent them back but there were six of us and I don 't think we could have stood the wait of six meals being brought up to temperature. The broccoli was also cold (but this isn 't such a problem for broccoli). The peppers were good, the sauce indifferent. Dessert was a brownie with an intenesely tart passionfruit coulis. In itself it was fine, but to my taste didn 't go with the brownie at all and actively fought against it. On top of this was a mousse whose flavour I 'd call 'sweet ' (I think it was supposed to be chocolate). On top of this were some pieces of honeycomb which didn 't add (or take away) anything. A dessert which while not actively unpleasant, I 'd never want to eat again. I 've been in chain restaurants like Cote or Cafe Rouge where they make a rich, satisfying choclate fondant I 'd much, much rather have a competent dessert than one which tries too hard and fails. I didn 't have a starter as I usually struggle with three courses and sides. I had the main, shared two sides and had a dessert and, when I left, was still hungry. For ÂŁ40 plus wine this was an expensive disappointment. Six diners, four not happy with the meal, and haven 't discussed it with the other two."
