"I had a wonderful dining experience here, and the portion size for the children's meal was just right. I've often found that kids' meals at other places are too large, leading to a lot of waste, but here the portion was perfect."

"Only a member of the bar staff for lunch service. We had to search our own menus. The barman was friendly and helpful, but overstretched. The wine list is economical and criminal about price for quality. The French Sauvignon blanc ran on our order of a second bottle. The replacement, we were told, was “even the same price”. The first bottle was £25 the replacement was £55! This seems to be the definition of “roughly the same”. We chose some snacks. These were edible, but far away from exciting freezer to friteuse. I suggest you go to your next Wetherspoons instead of Jamies for better service, better food and much, much better value."

"I had a great experience at the Blue Legume. It was quite busy on Sundays for brunch, so even though we had a reservation, we had to wait a bit. However, the wait was not too long. The brunch was delicious and reasonably priced. We had 2 Mediterranean Brunches and 4 coffees, which came to ÂŁ24. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful, and I would definitely recommend it for brunch or a nice weekend lunch. We were able to enjoy our meal for over 3 hours without feeling rushed or asked to leave, which was great for us, but may have contributed to the long queues."

"After a busy day in London, we decided to have an afternoon snack at The Conductor and were pleasantly surprised. We tried their sharer size nachos and lemonade, which were delicious. The menu looked enticing and the portions were generous. The nachos were freshly prepared and the restaurant was not busy, making us feel comfortable and cozy in its warm and welcoming interior. The staff were polite and accommodating, which was a plus. Reservations are accepted and we noticed some tables were reserved. The restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor space, although it was too cold for us to dine outside that day. Overall, I would definitely return with friends as The Conductor feels like a great place to hang out."

"Nice restaurant. Way overpriced. 10.90 for an Irish Coffee. 7 Euro in the skylon. 10.90 for a dessert, 8 euro in the skylon. 6.90 for a bottle of moretti. Would definitely have gone again but the exorbitant charges has unfortunately deterred me from doing so. Waiter at 1020pm went way overboard trying to get us and other diners to leave."

"It was better than any food I had in England. It was 48 pounds of beef Wellington, and the Wellington meat was so tender, the mushroom flavor was amazing, and the sauce was perfect, not too salty or strong. The bread served with the potatoes is also a bit hard, but it goes very well together. I drank the recommended wine and it went very well with Wellington. The Beef Wellington season at nearby Kerridge's Bar Grill was over, so the chef there recommended it, and I'm sure the chef would cook high-quality food, too. The food and service here were better than any restaurant I've experienced in London. I hope you stop by and experience Wellington and pie."

"Lovely location, and good weather enabled everyone to sit outside on the sunny terrace. The staff were friendly and welcoming and provided good service, but the food was disappointing. Some sandwiches were dry, tasted as though they'd been made the day before. The waiter replaced it promptly with another dry sandwich. The desserts were small taster size portions (which was fine) but did not appear freshly made. The cream tea part of the menu was nice, but again a very small scone. The gluten free option was preferred over the regular afternoon tea by our group."

"I absolutely adored everything about this cafe, from the beautiful selection of fresh cakes to the gorgeous decor and charming artworks on the walls. We ordered 2 violet macarons, a sky tart, a chic fudge cake, and a pistachio nougat disc along with 2 espressos. All the cakes were incredibly delicious, the service was outstanding, and the complimentary soda water with the coffee was a nice touch. The total bill came to ÂŁ34, which we found to be quite reasonable for the location in Soho and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Bravo!"

"Sadly I would not recommend the inn anymore, the food was not up to standard. I have been here many times before and had an excellent experience but the last two times have been terrible, I always like to give a place another chance if I’ve had both good and bad experiences but twice in a row is not good so I won’t bother going back now."

"....the wind was blowing through the glass window panes at our table and it felt like there was a fan blowing on my head. The fish and chips weren't very nice at all and for over ÂŁ10 not cheap, fish was bit soggy and the chips limited. I have eaten in here before and the salads are excellent so big dissapointment this time, will go back and try again though as the bar stafff are really nice."

"We were greeted by the owner Ken, he asked us if we were ok, we explained that we wanted to be seated for drinks. He sat us down, the waitress came we ordered and she said you must get something to eat, we just ate somewhere else and wanted to sit for drinks, so we ordered two starters with our drinks. To my surprise after we ordered Ken walked back and started to tell us that we shouldn’t have sat there if we’re just having drinks and to leave straight after the drinks. The whole vibe changed, I didn’t even want to have my drink. I paid £50 for two starters and two drinks and Ken’s horrible service. I’ve never been treated like that especially by an owner of a restaurant. Why wasn’t this mentioned before we ordered, why after? How can you tell someone have your drink and leave? When I said you are making me uncomfortable he replied, good leave. I just looked at my friend in disappointment as I recommended this restaurant to her. The reason your restaurant isn’t making enough is because of your service not customers coming for drinks. The embarrassment of him having a go in-front of the other customers wasn’t nice and the sad thing is he treats his waiters and waitresses with no respect as well as his customers."

"From that point on, the service was only slightly better; we felt largely ignored. While the food was nice, the overall experience left much to be desired, lacking in service quality even compared to a budget hotel. When we received the bill, our problems continued. We were charged £21.98 for desserts we didn’t order, and the bill showed £15.99 for dessert that should have been £7.99. I brought this to the attention of a staff member who said he couldn’t process a refund himself, but offered us three drinks as an apology for the incorrect dessert charge. By the time he returned, we realized the extra £21.98 charge still hadn’t been resolved. He swapped our beer for a bottle of prosecco instead, which we took, considering our children needed to go to bed. After researching the prosecco, I found I could buy it for just £10.99 at the store. To say I was appalled would be an understatement. For such a reputable establishment, this experience was a huge letdown. We seriously doubt that we will consider staying or dining at Doubletree again, and we certainly won’t be recommending it to friends, family, or clients anytime soon."

"We have stayed at the Kimberley hotel several times but I was not as impressed this time with the food. Our booking deal included a 2 course meal on the first night. My husband chose battered cod and I had the filleted fish. The battered fish was served lying on top of the chips which had been arranged in a row. He found the batter quite oily/greasy which he did not eat but consequently that had left the chips underneath soggy. My fish was nicely cooked. I was also upset to see that several of the courses had a supplement and therefore not offered in the choices unless an extra cost was incurred which further limited the already limited menu. The wine was also very pricey. I felt the ÂŁ49 for 2 people sounded a good deal which included a bottle of house wine although the house wine was not advertised as an option to purchase. We chose not to eat in the restaurant on the second night"

"I've been lucky to be able to photograph for 2 weddings at the Anglers Rest now and both times have been amazing. The guys are so accomadating and Agi is worth her weight in gold she's a superstar. Lovely venue, lovely staff and even better food highly recommended for any couple who wants that intimate and more personal alternative to the big hotels. Hopefully I'll see you guys soon Andy @forgedinlovephotography"

"I visited this restaurant for the first time and found it to be rather small, but with amazing decor and service. The food selection was lovely and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken and waffles, cheesy fries, and Mac and cheese. The Belgian waffles were too sweet for my liking, so I couldn't finish them. The chicken, fries, and Mac and cheese were delicious. I would definitely return to try a different branch (as this one is far from me) and explore more options on the menu, maybe the all day breakfast."

"I didn't settle the bill, so I can only guess about that. My employers take space in Nova north, and London based colleagues recommended you, so as a firm, I expect we are with you regularly. We were served by a slim young lady who was Greek. She was very very good indeed. My 2 clients are not fussy people, and are long since retired, but they too thought she was fantastic, and I suspect that a hefty tip was given. Don't let her leave!!"

"We are regulars at the inn and our experience last night was amazing. Phil our waiter could not do enough for us and definitely deserved a mention!! The food was lovely, there was an issue with one of the mains but this was sorted quickly and nothing was too much hassle. Thank you for making our experience so special. We will be back soon!!"
