"The woman at the restaurant was extremely impolite when we mentioned that we had a Groupon voucher. She then informed us that the sea bass, lamb shank, and gammon were unavailable. The food was terrible - my newlywed husband had originally ordered the lamb shank but received a plain cheeseburger instead. They also forgot to include the onion rings that he had requested as an additional item."

"My first visit here. I popped in for a quick snack, 2 piece chicken with battered chips at a great price. It was very fresh, crispy and tasty. The place itself was very bright and inviting. "We’ve have been coming here for years as a couple, but we came with friends this time, we have told them for a long time that it is by far the best steak they will ever eat. It didn’t disappoint. You always worry when you recommend somewhere incase people don’t agree. But everyone had an amazing meal. Our waitress Holly was so lovely, friendly and such fun. Steaks were perfectly cooked, side dishes were lush!! Thank you Falcon for a lovely evening of delicious food and laughter."

"It's been quite a few years since last in Poldino's and we'll be back quicker next time. The staff were both friendly and very professional We had starters of Calamari Homemade chicken liver pate. The Calamari was nice I would have it again, but the coating was a little soft for me. My partner Had the Paté which was really nice, but she was not impressed with the paper thin flat breads. Crusty bread or toast would have been preferred, but she still enjoyed it. We had a side of BRUSCHETTA which was nice. Mains Were the BISTECCA ALLA GRIGLIA which was Sirloin Steak Asparagus, 1/2 tomato with Roast Veg Potatoes.And SALMONE DELLA CASA which was Salmon fillet in a cream, smoked salmon dill sauce with roat veg potatoes. The steak was terrific. We both thought the roast Veg of Carrots Courgette was very nice they worked well with the steak and also the Salmon dish. We were both full after the 2 courses we could not manage a Desert so well done for that. Recommended"

"I called a couple of months ago to inquire about booking a table for my partners birthday. I was met with the rudest response from the man on the phone who told me they weren’t open on the date I asked about. I don’t mind being told that you’re not open on that date, I do mind being treated as if I am a stupid second hand citizen to you. Perfect way to scare customers off. So glad I didn’t have to go and experience the horrible staff in person."

"Booked here for our Saturday evening meal. Restaurant was empty on arrival. Swift in taking our drinks order and then our food order. Starters were average, garlic bread, garlic bread with cheese, funghi ripieni and pan fried scallops. Scallops were not fresh but frozen and sauce was pretty inadequate. Mains were Penne All’Arrabiata, sea bass, Fettuccine Fantasia della Cucina, Agnolotti di Aragosta. The last dish was supposedly fresh pasta stuffed with lobster cooked with king prawns. This dish and two of the others supposedly had a white wine garlic sauce. The only way to describe the sauce was coloured water with no taste. The fresh pasta certainly wasn't fresh pasta. Very disappointed. This dish was removed from our bill and they did offer to cook something else but that would have been 1 person eating on their own."

"The food is incredible but I was so disappointed when I tried to amend my booking... basically, I had a table for 2 booked for tonight but the other person has covid. Rather than cancel, it was coincidental that another group I know were going to be at the restaurant at the same sort of time, so I asked if I could instead join their party of 4, making their table a 5. I was just told a flat no in a very rude tone and had to pay a cancellation fee of £48. It would have been better for the restaurant for me to have gone as I would have easily spent more than £48 on 2 or 3 courses. Frustrating and as much as I love the food there, I doubt I 'll ever go again."

I always leave a gratuity wherever I go and even after all my comments tonight was no exception.Update following owners response:I think the best course of action would have been to let me know as soon as you ran out of spinach so that I could have made a second choice prior to my meal being served. So NO I didn 't 'expect you to pull it out of your arse ' as you so rudely suggested.As for the member of staff. "I discovered this restaurant through a campervan app that highlights areas with free parking, as I needed to be in Blackpool early the following day. Although campervans aren't permitted in the pub's parking lot, there is ample space available on the nearby hard standings. It's a charming, traditional local pub with a warm atmosphere complete with a real fire and excellent food. I ordered the homemade chicken Kiev, which takes about 30 minutes to prepare since it's made to order, and it was absolutely delightful. I will definitely return. I highly recommend this hidden gem—it's truly worth seeking out! Wookiee."

"My partner took me out for a lovely meal at Goodmans, which had been highly recommended by several people, and it did not disappoint. We began with lobster and tempura prawns, both of which were incredibly delicious. For our main course, we each had filet steak, cooked to perfection, accompanied by tasty chips. The pepper sauce and the spinach and mushroom sides were delightful. Overall, the meal was a fantastic tasting experience, and we can't wait to come back. The service was excellent, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant."

"This is not one of your fancy posh steak restaurants.The setting is fun, but fairly basic. The restaurant was full when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday evening, which was a good sign. Husband and son enjoyed their starters of grilled prawns and calamari, but I wanted to save myself for my main course. All our steaks were delicious. I had the fillet with grilled king prawns, husband had the T-bone which had a huge amount of meat and son had the sirloin. We all loved our steaks, excellent quality. Sauces and sides were ok, my grilled veggies were mostly tomato and peppers, but really come here for the steak- you won’t be disappointed. No automatic service charge added to the bill, which is nice as this is becoming too common in Edinburgh."

"We visited Saddlers restaurant on a busy Saturday evening as a large family group, celebrating a christening. From the moment we booked it the staff could not have been more helpful in arranging the evening. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the service was fantastic, the food was delicious and prompt. A special mention must go to Jill, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that everything ran smoothly. Her interaction with customers is amazing, and her friendly personality and kind nature was apparent as soon as we met her. She is a credit to the bar and restaurant."

"Not a good experience. Starters, we both had scallops which were pretty good. Main course, I had £34 rib eye steak. Supposed to be 10oz, definitely wasn't and I very much doubt it's uncooked weight was over 6oz. I like rib eye for the fat. This had none and just wasn't very good meat. Certainly I have had better rib eye streaks from Aldi for under a tenner. The prize is only for the steak. Chips were extra. I also ordered a ceaser salad. It had no croutons and no anchovies. So it was basically lettuce with a sauce and some cheese costing £6. Glass is Melbac was good. Staff were friendly. Automatically added 12.5% to the bill, but the waiter made a point of saying it was optional. I was happy to pay that as service was good; the food however was really quite poor and certainly no where near good enough for the price they charge. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will I be returning."

"First time at the Whitehouse for at least 25 years and the place hasn’t changed one bit in a good way. Arrived at 545 on a Saturday afternoon you can’t book unless larger table over 5 but went early it was rammed already which is a good sign . Food gammon eggs very tasty lady had steak strips in a spicy sauce all enjoyed very much two pints of cider and two large red wines £52 all comparable to the other. Saddleworth must go to the Church Inn is it as good no but food still very good and serving staff great . Enjoyable will go again 7/11/2023 revisit Welcomed by staff on a miserable wet cold Tuesday afternoon . Warm inside roaring fires great start. Two large glasses of Malbec absolutely perfect Cod mornay with prawns amazing . Great food will be back Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available"

"I went there for Christmas dinner with my partner and we had a horrible experience will never go again. My partner had steak which was lovely but the chips, onions, sauce and other accompaniments were cold. I had traditional turkey the only edible thing was the carrots and turkey! The roast potatoes were hard as rock and seemed either overcooked or cooked from frozen. The parsnips I couldn’t cut, cauliflower was hard and the pigs in blanket was so hard it couldn’t be cut. There wasn't even a yorkshire pudding. We complained just about mine and they brought me a new one but that was worse. In the end I only ate a few carrots and some turkey. I complained again when he came to ask how it was again. He said he would ask manager to come over, he took 15/20 mins in meantime my psrtmer had eaten his steak and I was just sat there. The manager offered to let us have our 1 drink each free plus one more round. I was grateful they had offered but it had still spoiled my Christmas and I was emotional as I work every year as a nurse on Christmas Day and cook when I get in (for 40 years) this was the only time I had been out for christmas dinner. It took 50 mins to clear our plates. I just wanted to go home but we had dessert to eat so I had that it was nice but was described as Eton Mess but it was just a big meringue with a dollop of cream on and about 2 strawberries chopped up no sauce at all. The server was nice but we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get a drink even though we were the last sitting and the kitchen was closed, it wasn’t that busy. I am disappointed and even though they tried to help me it wasn't enough, when we paid £90 each. They warm everything up in the microwave I think apart from meat and fish that’s what it tasted like anyway."
