"Superb..... Its took a year to come and visit after i said we would come over once you opened. Definately worth it the fish and chips are divine perfectly cooked and the light crisp golden organic batter that encased the pure white fillet of succulent cod was incredible, minted peas and tartar sauce to complement really lifted the dish and added lots of flavour. All the family really enjoyed there meals of chestnut mushroom tagliatelle , sirloin steak with Diane sauce and chunky chips. Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful interior design in a modern but warm and welcoming design. If you keep driving past Thi wondering what the restaurant and grill looks like inside pop in you will be very suprised on what you find on the inside. 20 years of experience and knowledge being applied in a very proffesional perfect way. "I booked the Cattlemans as it was recomended by someone who had been there several years ago and had a great meal. By all accounts it used to be a top steak house. We were a party of and we all had a steak. Out of the only had been cooked correctly. I sent my cremated medium well, bone dry steak back and it came back less than later as a rare steak with blood oozing out all over the plate but again burnt on the outside! This was a fillet and they got it wrong twice. Even the two steaks that had been cooked OK were nothing special and of us didn't enjoy our meal. This was on top of the fact the meals took over an hour to come in the first place and the chips were barely warm when they arrived. The final insult came when I paid the bill. I had a discount voucher from Harrogate Vouchers and they wouldn't honour it. They said that the voucher was only for off the food up to people and as we had a table of I couldn't use it! I had to insist they take the service charge off. What a dreadful place. It is obviously living on past glory. There are plenty of other good restaurants in Harrogate including steak houses. Don't waste your money here."

"The Fox Inn is an extremely pleasant country pub which is a favourite with locals. Conveniently on the main Bridgnorth Road, it is a pub for a long leisurely lunch where you can sit in the conservatory area or if the weather permits, sit outside and take advantage of the wonderful countryside. Its not the cheapest pub food, but it has quality and offers something a bit different. We had a wonderful mozzarella, basil and tomato salad. It has undergone modernisation in the past but retains a lot of character with small areas leading off from the bar. Staff all seem very helpful. Very tasteful and lovely surroundings."

"Great place but don’t go there during peak hours for the chicken wing challenge you don’t get served fast enough. We hit 30 wings and the table next to us hit 45. We struggled to get served at points had to stand up to get attention to get more service, just avoid being stuck in the corner. I questioned the manager and he said “don’t come here during peak hours” kinda strange as the table we sat next to has so much more service, great food but manager handled things poorly Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5"

"We’ve have been coming here for years as a couple, but we came with friends this time, we have told them for a long time that it is by far the best steak they will ever eat. It didn’t disappoint. You always worry when you recommend somewhere incase people don’t agree. But everyone had an amazing meal. Our waitress Holly was so lovely, friendly and such fun. "I’ve been going here regularly for all of my adult life and never thought of writing a review. Mostly because I just assume that everyone from within 50 miles of Aberdeen knows that it is just the best place to eat in Aberdeen. Excellent food, amazing atmosphere and wonderful staff. Nico is a local legend and has managed not to age at all in the 30+ years that I’ve been going. An absolute master class in authentic Italian dining. But I feel that I’m stating the obvious here; everyone knows that Poldino’s is amazing- that’s why it’s still thriving after all this time. 10/10 every time."

"We chose Le Petit Nantais for Valentines Day because we’ve had great experiences there in the past, so expectations were high. On this occasion, JP (chef and owner) decided to do a “surprise” set menu at £100/person with booze on top. Whilst the evening was OK, it wasn’t at the level we’d previously experienced. And I think the reasons were as follows: 1. There were two staff on who were seemingly doing their first shifts there (one of them said as much and the other lad was very obviously inexperienced), as a consequence of which, the service was decidedly sub par (one of the regular staff Julian? was fantastic as ever, but the new lady on was quite sour and decidedly inattentive all evening) 2. For £100/head, the food wasn’t as good as I would have expected. I’m putting this one down to an anomaly, as the restaurant overall is normally brilliant. It’s just a shame that on what’s a top occasion in the calendar, it wasn’t up to scratch."

"Went to champneys on Sunday, we had been given a lovely voucher for a birthday. Hadn't been in some time. First impressions, not good, very scruffy outside, weed's everywhere, chipped paintwork. When we got in, I said to a gentleman we had a reservation for 3.30, he looked at his list, turned, walked away, apparently we were just to follow him! Not a word spoken. Pate, undecided on if it's bought or made, bland, tasteless. Burgers came, both raw in the middle, horrible. Second burgers arrived, obviously cooked quickly, charred, burnt and horrible smell and taste. Extremely overpriced poor quality food, and you are eating in near dark, small candle on the table, impossible to see. Avoid."

"Wow wow wow!!! I brought my mom(from South Africa) to Edinburgh for 2days and we craved steak on our 2nd night, so I found this BEAUT around the corner from where we stayed. From the calamari starter, the chimichurri side, to the sauces, the wine... everything was just amazing. Our steaks were cooked beautifully, rare, and was SO soft. We went for the ribeye. The service was amazing, our waiters were so friendly and helpful, and passionate about their customers leaving happy. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. I wish it was closer to home(Gloucestershire) Thank you for a fantastic night!"

"Booked here for our Saturday evening meal. Restaurant was empty on arrival. Swift in taking our drinks order and then our food order. Starters were average, garlic bread, garlic bread with cheese, funghi ripieni and pan fried scallops. Scallops were not fresh but frozen and sauce was pretty inadequate. Mains were Penne All’Arrabiata, sea bass, Fettuccine Fantasia della Cucina, Agnolotti di Aragosta. The last dish was supposedly fresh pasta stuffed with lobster cooked with king prawns. This dish and two of the others supposedly had a white wine garlic sauce. The only way to describe the sauce was coloured water with no taste. The fresh pasta certainly wasn't fresh pasta. Very disappointed. This dish was removed from our bill and they did offer to cook something else but that would have been 1 person eating on their own."

"I recently celebrated my 60th birthday at this fantastic restaurant on January 1st. The food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful. There's a parking lot available, as well as some street parking out front. It's located in a beautiful area with plenty of walking trails nearby. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you're planning to go with a group. Give it a try—you won't be disappointed!"

"Faultless. Party of 5, we visited on Fri 27th Jan 2012. Staff were wonderful, and happy to make informed recommendations when asked. I had calamari for starter before sharing a 700gm on the bone ribeye from O'Sheas. This was helped along by a couple of bottles of 2003 Chateau D'Issan, Margaux. Sides for the table; lobster tail, glazed carrots, trufe chips, plain chips, green beans, spinach creamed with Gruyere cheese, mac and cheese with truffle sauce and Parmesan. Sauces for the table; pepper, Bearnaise and Stilton. Deserts; choc mouse on crisp brownie base very light and tasty. Cheesecake and sundae was devoured elsewhere at the table. We closed the experience with some fine Corney Barrow 10yo Tawny Port. Without exception, everything was fantastic. This dining experience ran to £500 after service charge (wine £100 per bottle). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue, and I'll certainly return."

"My wife and I visited The Ox for the first time for some Sunday lunch. On entry we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table and offered bottle water with the menus. The restaurant is situated in a basement/cellar and has a wonderful atmosphere. The service was efficient, warm and friendly. We decided skip the starters and went straight to the main course. My wife chose the slow roasted porchetta and I chose the Buxton's dry aged beef rump. Both meals came with roast potatoes, cauliflower au gratin, braised red cabbage, roast carrots, leeks, greens and Yorkshire pudding. The meals were exquisite, a taste sensation in every mouthful. My wife gave me a taste of the porchetta, which was equally as good. The crackling almost crumbled and sparkled in my mouth. For dessert my wife had the panacotta and I had burnt white chocolate salted caramel pecan ice cream. Simply divine. This was accompanied by a more than decent malbec. This is not one of those quiet restaurants where silence is oppressive, this is a restaurant where people smile, laugh, talk and engage with a good choice of not too loud music. All in all the combination of good food, excellent service and atmosphere led to one of the most enjoyable meals we've had in years. We will definitely return and advise you to try this gem of a restaurant. You won't be dissapointed. 10/10"

"Norman is just the most amazing man and the epitome of the kind of vendor you want involved in your wedding. We planned our Northern Ireland destination wedding from the United States and Norman didn’t miss a beat. His communication was stellar and prompt. He clearly laid everything out for us to easily make decisions and he guided us throughout the entire process. I can’t express how incredibly kind and sweet Norman is as a person, which is just such a blessing during wedding planning. Norman not only catered our wedding itself, but also our rehearsal dinner, an afternoon tea service, as well as breakfast each morning during our stay. Each meal was spectacular and delicious, and the presentation was top notch, the cocktails and wine list were also superb. The service from his team was outstanding, they went above and beyond cooking out in the rain and all! Any leftovers we had were perfectly wrapped up and put in containers for us to enjoy during our stay at the Belle Isle Estate.
