"I had a short break with my sister and stayed for a couple of nights. The B B, restaurants in the area were all wonderful. The hosts at the B B were superb and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The breakfast was really delicious with fresh fruits, granola and croissants and pastries. The garden terrace is lovely at the side of the cafe. Rooms: The room had good facilities, toiletries, nice views and is comfortable. It was nice eating breakfast outside on the garden terrace. Nearby activities: Helmsley has enough quirky shops to explore over a day or two Walkability: There are many things within walking distance the walled garden, the castle and Helmsley outdoor pool. Food drinks: There are some good restaurants in the area which we booked in advance. The Bantram and the Trattoria did good food. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view"

"Visited here in Sept 23 for an executive dinner that we were hosting for various senior business leaders. We booked out the whole venue, which was the perfect size and atmosphere for the intimate and exclusive feel that we wanted, plus a convenient location. The TV that shows into the kitchen was fascinating, and the record player was put to use towards the end of the evening! Caroline from the venue helped us organise the event in advance and was great to deal with. We were fortunate with the weather so were able to enjoy a welcome drinks reception out the front of the venue, and have the door open all evening to let the balmy night in. We had the 7 course taster menu and it was simply OUTSTANDING so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, particularly the beef steak course! It was so tasty that I even enjoyed the fish dish (not usual for me! . Service on the night was exemplary, the courses were brought out at just the right intervals so you weren't waiting ages but also not being rushed. The chef came out to greet us after the final course, which was a lovely touch and meant we could thank him. Overall, we had really great feedback from our guests, everyone loved it thank you for making our event such a success! We would definitely book again, and I know a few of our guests have already recommended it to their own companies for executive dinners! Would not hesitate to recommend."

"Today Emma and I enjoyed a meal box from the Feathers. Ordered a couple of days before hand I collected, took home served our Northumberland charcuterie, braised beef and mash and apple tart 3 courses meal. These times have seen so many businesses struggling. I’m so pleased the likes of the Feathers has turned such difficulties into huge positives by offering customers something a little bit unique. I wholeheartedly suggest everybody gives this an opportunity to thrive by trying their menu."

"I drive past this place on the way to errol most Sundays and always wondered what it would be like. Noticeable enough to wonder as you drive past. Horn Milk Bar... Something lost to time I'm afraid. Highly anticipated; me hoping to have found a hidden gem. Stepped in to a time warped dated estsbliment. I'm trying to be fair to the estsbliment. It's a fair set up but the decor really let's it self down. To be fair the staff had a good handle on the situation and we're helpful. Although I know my bacon was deep fried and I was highly disappointed at the end. It was a shame as it wasn't I would consider good value. £9.50. I took a look at the small bakery and cake section up exit. Nothing to write home about. All in all. I would of loved to of seen it's hay day but in reflection it's conveniently placed pit stop on the way out of Dundee and conviently near Eroll Sunday Market."

"18 of Killicomaine Jubilee Club went here for our Christmas Lunch. The room was freezing a member of staff did bring a tiny fan heater out). No Christmas decorations on the tables, not even a cracker or Christmas napkins. No background music. The turkey parcels were only half ones, one cocktail sausage, one roast potato and mashed potatoes Roast beef dinner consisted of 2 wafer thin slices and same as above without the cocktail sausage. Plenty of vegetables. The dessert wasn't the greatest either. Our end of year meal and venue was so disappointing. One of the members described it as soulless and that's what it was at a cost of £19.95 each. Not a bit of wonder we were the only one's there"

"We stayed for one night recently, with dinner in the evening. The food was good, though perhaps not the most inventive for a tasting menu. The wine pairing was excellent. The room was 'okay ', some nice original features, but really let down by a bathroom that 's windowless, very small and cheaply outfitted (chrome coated plastic, basic electric shower, mirror with a power button on it, mouldy holder) – it feels out of step with the aesthetic of the rest of the room and it 's telling you don 't see much of it on the website when booking. The overall impression was a little underwhelming. It was a needed change of scene but we are unlikely to return."

"The lunch menu at this restaurant is fantastic, set in a beautiful environment with views of the bay peeking through the trees. The food was incredibly delicious, with a creamy and rich risotto and the most amazing homemade sticky toffee pudding. I highly recommend this place, it's definitely worth a visit."

"Incredible five-star spa in Surrey! The spa itself is stunning, featuring two 20-meter swimming pools and excellent facilities. The hospitality and service are top-notch! There's also a fantastic bar and a Japanese restaurant. It's a beautiful venue, but it comes with a hefty price tag. The Japanese restaurant is quite expensive, with everything costing a premium; a glass of Moët is priced at £28! A meal for two can easily reach £300, even with a modest half bottle of wine. The food is outstanding, though, likely even pricier than places in Mayfair! Overall, I give it a 5/5. Just be prepared to spend around £1,000 to £1,200 per day, including accommodation!"

"I had not visited the hoop for a long time and I was pleasantly surprised. The parking hasn’t changed it’s either on the road or at the hall car park which is free and a sub 5 minute walk. The food was absolutely delicious, actually nicer than a Michelin 2 star I recently visited in London. Downstairs felt cozy and buzzy as it’s right next to the bar but upstairs was equally as nice and very well decorated. Service was helpful and timely, the ladies were knowledgeable on the dishes and timing was spot on when to ask if anything was needed. Food and drink was priced fairly not cheap not expensive. Will revisit Thank you!"
"We have been there 3 times Doesn 't the management like people ? Surley, unhelpful, beligerent ... Don 't they want customers ! Have also seen the nasty, disrespectful responses to others who have commented tells you all you need to know. Shame, as it is a remarkable location. Edit; As you can see, I have also been insulted and called a liar by the management in response... We visited as our company was looking for reliable venues to host other business contacts and directors, to enhance our companies reputation. Suffice to say, we would not be using this venue with such an unfortunate attitude. Further edit; Now being threatened with legal action for a review 6 months ago ! You have never spoken to me about my concerns or 'politely ' asked me to do anything. Are all the other 1* reviews being threatened too... Avoid"

"Had the most delicious meal here today.. we just popped in for a drink but looking at the menu we realised the food would be a little bit special and it didn’t disappoint. I can imagine the chef buzzed at concocting these fabulous flavours and presenting them so lovingly..we would love to come back. The service was really great too. Meal type: Lunch"

"This will be a brief review as we drove by on a Sunday morning on a trip that had been planned quickly and this was on our route to somewhere else. This place is in a very small village on the Main Street. It's a place we would normally never be in on a Sunday. As we drove by, we saw from an on street blackboard that they offered a Sunday roast dinner for £4.95 this is a price that you could hardly make it for. Long story short we pulled up and bought one; turkey and ham. The dish had really generous slices of the two meats as well as carrots, parsnips and Brussels sprouts. All the food was tasty and its remarkable they can offer this value on quality. We think gravy was offered but found when we got home there was no potato, which was a surprise as it's a dinner staple in these parts. It was still quite early on in the day we did throw the lady server a bit asking fir lunch at that early time and maybe the spuds just weren't ready but that aside the portions, quality and genuine value for money that was offered was excellent."

"I would have missed this place completely, as it’s in between the two main shopping streets in town, and boy would I have been missing a treat. With its delicious (very authentic) tapas and fabulous cocktails, this cosy little restaurant is well worth a visit. Charming staff too. The Prawns pil pil were the highlight for meI felt like I was back in Spainbut my wife enjoyed the croquetas morebut everything was good. This will be top of my list for next time we’re in Lyme Regisand I will probably try to sync up my visit with one of their cooking classes I’ve always felt scared to try making paella but I would bet that fear will evaporate after a class here."

"Been a few times over the years and always really impressed, last night however was the opposite. Food is really overpriced, its not a 5 star hotel after all ! £18,50 for a basic fish and chips is ridiculous. Service was poor , not offered any water for our table even tho the couple across from us were . Chef forgot to put a potato croquet on my plate so the waitress brought it out on a tea plate 5 mins later . Didnt get asked how our meal was or offered more drinks when we had emptys sotting infront of us. Place was empty , says alot at 6pm on a Friday night . Won't be back."

"A first class dining experience with a great tasting innovative menu. We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and suggest you book early as it is rightfully popular. The atmosphere was lovely, quite relaxed and a great choice of background music. The attention to detail in both the food and the place is apparent. We felt that there was also an abundance of passion emanating from the chef and the service team. Well done to the owners in creating a restaurant of this quality and in this part of Ilfracombe. We will come back again at the first opportunity. P.s my wife wants to know what the lovely fragrance was in the bathroom and where did you got it from?"

"A friend recommended their Thai food night on Wednesdays, and wow, what a delight! It’s a friendly, cozy village pub, and the food was outstanding. Some of our group preferred mildly spiced dishes, while others wanted something a bit hotter, and we were not disappointed— the flavors were incredible. The recommended wine was a bold French choice that perfectly complemented the meal. The landlords were very welcoming, greeting us with a literal warm atmosphere around the blazing log fire in the bar area. I highly recommend it... enjoy!"

"The food here is outstanding. However this is where the the positives end. We were greeted extremely bruskly, not with a hello but with name . Throughout the meal, you feel like you 're an inconvenience. There is little atmosphere, and could really do with some background music. If you can deal with the poor service and lack of atmosphere, the food is worth it, but we won 't be rushing back. Service: Dine in"

"We received a very warm and friendly welcome at the restaurant. I tried the naan bread pizza, which was delicious and quite enjoyable. For dessert, I had a slice of cheesecake that was also delightful, and I made sure to let the staff know how much I loved it. We always visit this place every year during our holiday, and it never disappoints!"
