"I wanted to try out things before, and the last one was done at night. I was thrilled to discover, they offer a fully dedicated vegetarian menu and even more impressed when I discovered a few vegan options as well as listed. the restaurant itself is charming, cozy, quirky and welcoming with beautiful art hanging on sunny yellow walls, wooden floors, warm lighting and an open kitchen, so that they see the chefs their magie. it has a relaxed atmosphere, but also feels like a special, luxurious place to dinate. the two men who served us were friendly, helpful and chatting without being intrusive, I would rate the service as the best I experienced in any restaurant. I ordered a starter of spageltempura with asian salate, fresh and tangy, mainly from sweet potatoes and cherry fried fritters on a delicious mild creamy spinat curry and a luscious melt in the middle chocolate pudding with fresh earthberries, celestial and cream for dessert. my dinning partners shared a starter of the brote with tapenade that I tried and would highly recommend for the fresh taste and exceptionally generous portion literally a huge basket of individual baked broth. the food was from this world in terms of quality and taste. it was completely unimaginable. in my party of four people, each of us thought that it was the best that we cost in a very long time. we enjoyed our culinary experience in ginger bistro so much that we already plan a return trip. if they hadn't been, I would recommend you try it, as a meal here is an exceptionally pleasant evening. so a restaurant goer bistro should be perfect in every sight. I would give him 5 stars on happy cow if I could. updated by previous review on Wednesday, 14 October 2015"

"Myself and my housemates planned to go to Gaucho,Piccadilly. After going through many restaurants their food menu and service we decided to book at Gaucho for 6 people. It was a rather very important event for all of us since the lunch was to say Goodbye to our lovely friend. So we came to dine at one of the prestigious restaurant in London(claimed by Gaucho). We wanted to make sure it was nothing but the best for an amazing feast. All of us(minus 1) arrived together at our booking time and we entered the restaurant and walked towards the dinning area towards the left. At entering the dinning room we came across the first staff member who without hesitation or being polite to welcome us abruptly asked us to leave the room and wait for her outside, that's where the reception is she said. The reception area is a desk where when entering we founded empty with no staff present at the counter. Soon the lady and a gentleman arrived and asked us for some details and took us to a table. We informed the lady we are 1 person short and she will be arriving shortly to join us. The lady got us to a table and left all of us without taking into account if the table fits the 6 person capacity. After we sat down it took a while before a member of staff approached to check on us. The person at this time was a gentleman who left a menu for drinks and walked away. Just then i requested if we could get the set menu which was requested at the time of booking, this didn't took long before we had the menu. One of us asked at this point if we could get some water on the table please, the staff acknowledged and went off. He arrived not too long and started to rushed by pouring water into our glasses, we were 5 of us at the table and he only poured in 4 glasses and spilled some on the table which knowingly he didn't acknowledge and went away again. The spilled water remained on the table which was never cleaned off. The restaurant didn't seem busy at all but the person looking after us would take long before we could find him. We waited for him and asked if we could be moved to another bigger table since the space wasn't enough for even 5 of us, we were still waiting for another person. He didn't seem to care much and said the table next to you is the same size you can move there or take a chair for this table if you wish. We all seemed a bit puzzled at his response not to resolve the complication with the seating. We decided to remain where we were and added another chair to the table. Soon the last person arrived and we ordered the 1st and the 2nd course. Our starters were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Then we got around to our main where we all ordered steak. Steak pieces were on average good size approximately 200grams each. As soon as our steak was served it took them around extra 5-7 mins to bring the side which we all ordered as chips. The combination was good and we all liked it. During the time on the table we had requested for some drinks, water, ketchup and mayonnaise. Again, the drinks were served but the water and mayonnaise was not to be seen at the table. We all came to terms that at this point that the service wasn't their best pursuit after all. As part of an excellent service you keep intouch with the customers to acknowledge them. After the mains heading towards the end we all ordered the desert, which were good! As this was an important time with our lovely friend,we wanted to make sure she walks away happy. This is where 5 of us had to make sure that we didn't make her feel that it was anything but the best for her. I am disappointed to say this that we had to fill in those areas where Gaucho couldn't come through to us. Food and service should be embedded at the core of these restaurants where every transaction and event is strictly set to serve at the highest standards! We walked away with bitterness that could have achieved thoroughly by regular trainings perhaps. Hopefully, your experience is better than ours!!"
