"I wanted to try out things before, and the last one was done at night. I was thrilled to discover, they offer a fully dedicated vegetarian menu and even more impressed when I discovered a few vegan options as well as listed. the restaurant itself is charming, cozy, quirky and welcoming with beautiful art hanging on sunny yellow walls, wooden floors, warm lighting and an open kitchen, so that they see the chefs their magie. it has a relaxed atmosphere, but also feels like a special, luxurious place to dinate. the two men who served us were friendly, helpful and chatting without being intrusive, I would rate the service as the best I experienced in any restaurant. I ordered a starter of spageltempura with asian salate, fresh and tangy, mainly from sweet potatoes and cherry fried fritters on a delicious mild creamy spinat curry and a luscious melt in the middle chocolate pudding with fresh earthberries, celestial and cream for dessert. my dinning partners shared a starter of the brote with tapenade that I tried and would highly recommend for the fresh taste and exceptionally generous portion literally a huge basket of individual baked broth. the food was from this world in terms of quality and taste. it was completely unimaginable. in my party of four people, each of us thought that it was the best that we cost in a very long time. we enjoyed our culinary experience in ginger bistro so much that we already plan a return trip. if they hadn't been, I would recommend you try it, as a meal here is an exceptionally pleasant evening. so a restaurant goer bistro should be perfect in every sight. I would give him 5 stars on happy cow if I could. updated by previous review on Wednesday, 14 October 2015"

great restaurant in every sight. eating is consistently excellent and serving are not small ones on a large white dish here! the personal is friendly, attentive and efficient also a good laugh. the relaxed atmosphere ensures a more pleasant culinary experience. I've never been disappointed by my visit. the menu changes regularly with a few clips carrying month for month. can't fail.

The food was very good. The duck appetizer was the best! Beef tartar was number 2, prawns number 3, and risotto was 4 as it was a bit watery and mushy. My favorite main dish was the sea bass, number 2 would be the beef cheek, number 3 pork belly. For dessert the banana desert was number 1, number 2 would be the toffee pudding, and number 3 was creme brulee. Though the banana and tofee deserts were very close.

Oh soooo good. Atmosphere good, staff exemplary. Food to die for. Either three or two course special mix and match or ala carte. The ginger squid starter along with the smoked salmon were nicely done and complemented with nice tasty dips/sauces. The main we shared was a flavourful sea bass with a nice orzo. That left barely enough room for us to share a wonderful toffee pudding. Accompanied by americano and cappuccino we could not have been happier. Thanks to all for a well rounded meal with obvious attention to detail. View menu

when we went, this restaurant was very busy, so it felt like they were undermined. that was not in the service. In addition to our great server, several employees have checked for the duration of our meal with us. eating was fantastic. one of the appetizers we chose was the calamari, the honest was the best fried tintenfisch I ever had. my main dish, that was the hake on a bed vegetables served with noodles, was stubborn. the asian taste of the noodles appreciated the more traditional preparation of the fish incredibly good, which surprised me. despite the impressive eating, the ambiente is in any case simple and casual.

Went here for lunch, immediately felt like a hipster paradise. Its an old building that has been converted into a restaurant and there were plants everywhere that I Iove. Staff is super friendly and attentive. We ordered mushrooms and cheese croquettes for starter. Cheese croquettes were delicious definitely worth trying. Mushrooms were breaded and deep fried, I'm not a fan of over fried food but for those who love fried food it was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. For main course we tried veggie option and seabass. Both were good dishes. Slightly over priced for the food but didn't mind as had a pleasant experience.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
