La Trompette - Menu

my family comes every time we visit london. this is the high end of the French kitchen in the environment. we had an excellent lunch with friends, the 2-course lunch menu is very good and absolutely delicious. comprehensive wine list with quality wine. service is always great. we cannot wait to go back

The second part of my Square reunion series takes me to La Trompette in Chiswick. The restaurant is one of three more casual French eateries under the ownership of Nigel Platts Martin who also owned the Square and Bruce Poole. I have already written about the other two restaurants Chez Bruce and Glasshouse previously but not La Trompette, as I had visited the restaurant during my blog’s sabbatical.

we loved and appreciate everything in this wonderful restaurant from warm and friendly welcome to amazing service the dishes from aperitif to small salted carmel is something that is set on every taste palette we went twice as family there, never disappointed is a word that I would say again and again, I hope it keeps its standard and would review it again for us that a restaurant that will be different to us.

Lunch menu is very good value. What you get for the lunch choices are great value considering how much it would cost you of an eve Its not the cheapest all rounder but its very smart and not overdone, the service is subtle and sharp simple french menu excellent cuisine in a lovely setting last time we went we were really dissapointed that they didnt have the choclate mouse which was the best i have ever tasted

My absolute favourite restaurant in London. I have celebrated 3 birthdays there and am still amazed by how good the food is each time. Very friendly and professional staff very helpful sommelier ! . The menu changes regularly depending on the season so there's always something to discover, and every time I go I always end up going home rolling on the floor because everything is so good I just can't stop eating.

well furnished room, excellent service and eating was excellent. only a small detail that should be improved according to my opinion: the sommelier should be more careful with the wee who serves the customer. we reject two bottles that were not under conditions, and after the sommelier's call he agrees that the wee was not a proper condition. at the end we didn't pay for the bottles, but I think that can be avoided. Nevertheless, this restaurant is a great place and I recommend it.

When we moved to London, I started hearing of a lot of neighborhoods that I had never heard of before, such as Chiswick. Friends also educated me on the fact that this hood has several very good restaurants, and as such, we made plans to visit one of them, La Trompette. We had recently been to Chez Bruce and La Trompette is owned by the same people and has a similarly structured set menu. We had tasty French food with some British undertones and would go again if we happened to see friends in Chiswick.

Even on a gloomy mid February evening, La Trompette in Chiswick looks cheery and inviting with its bubble shaped box hedge and wide awning. This is one of five Michelin starred London restaurants co owned by clever restaurateur Nigel Platts Martin. Over the last 20 years, this astute money man has teamed up with chefs he admires and, in partnership with them, has brought us exquisite, top of the range, elegant but informal dining experiences, most of which, like La Trompette, are neighbourhood based.
