"Nice enough place, good atmosphere etc. However, I’m pretty sure I got overcharged by about £5 but I couldn’t check as I wasn’t given a receipt. Other criticisms include; No Christmas music being played despite being Christmas Eve. Had the roast dinner which was a big plate that was half empty. Also, got a tiny amount of gravy so it was quite dry. In summary, always give a receipt, put more food on the plate and more gravy. "I have eaten at many fine/overpriced restaurants and I feel they don’t top this place. The food here is the best food I’ve had eating out in a VERY LONG time and is worth every penny. I booked a table for my husband on a Friday evening whilst there was live entertainment and we had the most amazing time. I must admit the entertainment was a touch too loud and found it difficult to have a conversation however it was a great atmosphere."

"Awful customer service. Worst I 've had in a long time. Served by a woman with brown hair with a pink and black choker necklace . Rude and abrupt and forgot drinks off our order,when mentioned she just shrugged it off .Had a child with additional needs who started becoming dysregulated because of this as he didn 't get his drink. Paid for 2 drinks then left . Had family visiting from the lake district and thought we would go for lunch, but her attitude ruined our experience and we didn 't want to stay. We visited next door instead to a more welcoming service and atmosphere. If she can 't be be bothered dealing with people she shouldn 't be at work. Will NEVER visit again"

"such a weird place, decor is stunning, so much so that we thought we were in the wrong place since it was so beautiful inside. but wait times for food are really long. there were five of us at our table and it took somewhere between an hour and a half and two hours to get our food, which was fairly tasty. also we were trying to reserve our table here all day and kept calling the landline they had listed on their website at least seven or eight times, but there was no answer every time. definitely would recommend, but be prepared to wait a very long time for food."

"oh dear, if ever a restaurant has gone to the dogs, this is it! Cheap in house menu's, portions cut by 50%, atmosphere dire, music so load that you could not hold a conversation, even placing an order was difficult. No chardonay, no gamon, no way will this place survive. We used to love it here, everything has been cut to the bone to save cost, the place used to be rammed at the weekends, not today (Sun), the place was less than half full. It will be a long, long time before we come again...if ever.....if it is still open...... The quality of the food was OK, just much, much smaller portions than in the past."

"This is a great place to eat, but avoid at all cost ordering a takeaway, meal was an hour late and the meal arrived cold. The soup dish had spilled into the bag, so no soup. When I complained, there was zero comprehension that my evening had been disrupted and complete denial that the one of the meals was not edible I.e. it was in a bag. The owner avoided at all costs to speak with me and simple shut me down with an I don't care attitude. She needs to try harder one star. In addition, the staff that took the compliant laughed and mocked my complaint as they out the phone down."

"This was our first visit to 1914 and it definitely won't be our last. Located on the top floor of the Alhambra, the restaurant offers stunning views of Centenary Square and the twinkling Bradford skyline. I can't imagine going to the Alhambra without making a reservation at 1914. My friend and I had a reservation for an early evening meal before a show, and we were thoroughly impressed. The head waiter who welcomed us was extremely polite and friendly, seating us promptly and providing us with menus. We were treated to a complimentary bottle of water and warm mini wholemeal bread loaves with butter, which were delicious. Special thanks to our waiter Shawn, who was attentive but not overbearing, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. His friendly demeanor and constant smile added to the enjoyment of our evening. Keep up the great work, Shawn!"

"We had made a reservation for a table of 13 at this restaurant, where all of us ordered fish except for one person. When the fish dishes started being brought out, they looked lovely and were a great size. However, when it came to my sister and me, our fish was completely different - it appeared to be frozen fish like what you would find in a supermarket. We were charged £15 for this dish and were not happy with the quality. We believe that we should have been given the option to choose a different dish from the menu, but unfortunately, this was not offered to us. This experience has left us feeling disappointed and we likely will not return to this restaurant. This is a stark contrast to our previous visits, where we had no issues with the food."

"I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. After searching for some good Chinese food in the area and reading reviews on both Yelp and Google, I almost passed by this place. However, I am grateful that I didn't. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly. I sat at a table for one, but ended up striking up a conversation with the staff who recommended some popular dishes. I opted for Menu Item 104 and requested the noodles be changed to a different type. I added some extra spices to my liking, and found the spicy beef noodles to be just the right level of heat for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and with the excellent service, warm welcome, and reasonable prices, I will definitely be returning."

"Ruined Valentine Evening... Visiting Lincoln, my wife and I booked this restaurant looking for something special. Reviews and menu and interaction beforehand all pointed to a good choice. The sharing starter was not as expected nor as described on the menu. Cheese sharing sharer with bread rolls celery and apple . It came with the celery and apple which had gone brown and Le Rustique camembert £3 from Tesco still in its wooden box and cloth wrapper and Le Rustique sticker . Bread rolls were four Jacobs Cream Crackers... ? . Not a bread roll in sight. We had to remind staff to bring our ordered bottle of wine, after it had been sitting on the bar for about 20 mins. It seems staff weren 't assigned to tables so you were always dealing with different staff and also having to attract their attention to get anything . Things went exceptionally south when the main course arrived. Rack lamb for me; at best it was far from being cooked my description of uncooked was not an exaggeration, and not challenged by the manager . It was tepid, the edge fat was un rendered, and the meat was fully pink/red in the middle some very slight colour around the edge. This was NOT rare or cooked to the point , it was uncooked. Chicken and lobster pappardelle for my wife; the pasta was seriously overcooked and we had to hunt for any lobster one rubbery piece was found . The only saving grace was that there was no argument from the manager that the service was unacceptable. We agreed to pay for our drinks and left but even then the final bill was far from being understandable in terms of the amounts and the way the deposit was refunded . It was clear that others in the restaurant that night were having the same issues with a least two other couples leaving early with the manager again apologizing. One can only hope that there were staffing problems in the kitchen, and I do understand that Valentine 's evening is kind of off season , but this is as far as I can remember, the worst dining experience I have had. Service staff, the last port of call to the customer, should never have been asked to serve what was served perhaps inexperience could be at play, but nonetheless this seems to be a hotel restaurant which knows what it is doing going by past reviews. I hope that they manage to work through these issues and get back to the level of service that previous reviews have indicated. For my part from our experience I cannot, in any way, recommend this restaurant."

"I used to love comingt to Medusa but now their staff doesn’t speak English and it’s really hard to order our meals. My daughter has allergies and our group spent a good few min trying to ask a question to a red haired young waitress that speaks very little English. We think she was a waitress as she wasn’t wearing the usual uniform and was just eating behind the bar. When we got our food, it came wrong but we didn’t even complain because we knew she wouldn’t understand. The service used to be very good, the waitress were lovely and polite, but now it’s hard to order anything and as a loyal customer of Medusa for many years, I should say that you should hire front house staff that actually speaks English. We had a party for 15 booked but I’ll be cancelling it."

"Lovely little café restaurant, cosy atmosphere inside. Came here on a Monday evening for dinner following a recommendation and it did not disappoint! The pad Thai was yum and I highly recommend the red curry if you like a sweet creamy curry with a hint of spice! I could just drink the sauce alone! I will definitely come back. Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options were available and clearly listed separately on the menu Parking: No parking available as the restaurant is in a no drive area but after 6:30 you could park on one of the roads near by and walk."

"Lovely evening out with my friend, we had food off the feast menu (tapas style) and it didn’t disappoint. It all tasted so fresh and came out beautifully presented. All servers were really friendly and made sure we were happy with our food and were attentive when it came to drinks too. But the best thing for me was the homemade ice-cream, it was delicious and so creamy.. I had the lemon curd and meringue and it was honestly the best ice cream I have ever tastes. "Always quiet when I come here, the food is a good standard and the service is great. Plenty of vegan options. For starters shared the wok-fried greens (crunch tenderstem broccoli, fine beans and mangetout in a garlic and soy sauce? and vegan k-dogs (soya protein sausages coated in a noodle crumb with turmeric vegan mayo and sriracha topped with chill and coriander). The greens are a must everytime you go to wagamama’s. The noodle crumb is so crunchy and gives a great texture. The sauce is nice but not very flavourful. For main tofu hotpot, a korean inspired broth with tofu, tteokbokki, butternut squash, mangetout, bok choi, kimchi and red onion and topped with chilli oil. This was delicious but not very filling. Dessert was a banana katsu, fresh banana coated in panko breadcrumbs and served with a scoop of vegan miso caramel ice cream and a drizzle of toffee sauce. If you’ve got a sweet tooth this is a must try."

"Dropped into the empty restaurant for a table for 2, was told they had a table that they'd have to have back in 1 hour. Got given menus and a few minutes later asked for our drinks order, they only had a white wine that was available by the bottle and we were discouraged from ordering that because we had such little time to drink it. Food was good, but the waitress came over to clear plates while we were still eating. We were out in 45 minutes, having paid a £50 bill. We left a mostly empty restaurant and will not bother them again."

"Yo Sushi has definitely gone downhill from before. They removed a lot of the interesting features that made Yo Sushi stand out from the rest. The autonomy of the conveyor belt and the water tap at every table has now all gone. You must order via the QR code and pay before receiving it. In addition, the food was horrible. The ramen bowl cost £12.50 and there was not even a handful of noodles in there. The broth was overpowered by pieces of chilli with no real flavour. Some random things were just thrown in like pickled onion and seaweed which made the overall taste just really strange and unappetising. The sushi was less than substandard. The rice did not seem real and did not even look like rice. It was cold and mushy and the rice grains seemed to be blended all in one. It appeared that the sushi had been prepared 2 or 3 days ago. The next thing I noticed was the thinness of California rolls. It looked like the chef had taken 2 normal size rolls and chopped them in half to make four. Overall it was a very bad eating-out experience and confirmed my decision never eating at Yo Sushi again."
