"This was our first visit to 1914 and it definitely won't be our last. Located on the top floor of the Alhambra, the restaurant offers stunning views of Centenary Square and the twinkling Bradford skyline. I can't imagine going to the Alhambra without making a reservation at 1914. My friend and I had a reservation for an early evening meal before a show, and we were thoroughly impressed. The head waiter who welcomed us was extremely polite and friendly, seating us promptly and providing us with menus. We were treated to a complimentary bottle of water and warm mini wholemeal bread loaves with butter, which were delicious. Special thanks to our waiter Shawn, who was attentive but not overbearing, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. His friendly demeanor and constant smile added to the enjoyment of our evening. Keep up the great work, Shawn!"

We booked an early table for a pre theatre meal. We were the first to arrive but it soon filled up. The decor is lovely and the staff were superb. The menu choice was excellent as was the food. A great meal followed by an amazing show.

We travelled to the Alhambra in a large group. We ordered a varied menu. When the food arrived it was all really well presented and very delicious. I decided on the Sweet potato gnocchi and was not disappointed. Scott our waiter who served our table was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble.I would definitely eat here again

We arrived at the restaurant to be greeted by the very friendly manager. The service was excellent! All dietary requirements were catered for. The menu had sufficient choice...with dishes to suit all tastes. It was a lovely start to a super evening! Our first visit to the theatre since lockdown which made the whole experience more special!! Would recommend

Food is OK. Friendly maitre d'. Very convenient before a show. Been a few times. New discoveries this time: 1. Won't serve alcohol to under 18s with a meal, contrary to national licensing laws. Apparently Bradford Council policy, but can't find on council or theatre website. 2. EPOS can only take up to £100, even with Apple/Google Pay. Surely can't be true, especially when the ticket office downstairs works properly. Think the till must be the original from 1914! 3. Worst of all, the waiting staff told me they don't get paid tips made through card payments. Shame.

After two years of waiting due to the pandemic, we finally had the opportunity to see The Lion King and dine at Restaurant 1914 again with our granddaughters. Once again, we received excellent service and enjoyed delicious food. This truly enhanced our overall experience and made it magical and unforgettable. Some negative reviews are confusing to me and could deter people from visiting. We always look forward to our visits and can't wait to return this Saturday with a party of six. Dining at Restaurant 1914 has become an essential part of our theater experience, and I always make sure to book a table as soon as I secure tickets to ensure we don't miss out. We use this restaurant fairly regularly when attending shows at the theatre. It's convenient; the surroundings are pleasant, it's usually busy with a good atmosphere, and they're geared up to get you out in time for the show. However, we have been disappointed on our last few visits; the menu needs to change more frequently, and the food has been very hit-and-miss. On our recent visit, they had run out of the only pasta dish, and we arrived at 5 .30 p.m. It was the same with drinks, no chilled alcohol-free lager. The restaurant is always well-staffed, but on our last visit, some staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, and that affected the standard of service. I hope it improves beca...

Well.. what can I say? We are regular theatre goers and have always enjoyed excellent food at the restaurant that compliments the whole experience. The menu of dishes have been a mix of fine cuisine, spectacular in taste and in presentation. However this time was very disappointing. Meals such as duck with red wine jus with wilted spinach and dauphinois potatoes have Ben replaced with bland alternatives like pork loin with new potatoes or stuffed chicken breast. The starters and puddings were similar substitutes. Ice cream, strawberries or shop bought chocolate mousse. Not a delightful homemade crème brûlée in sight!! Whilst the service was as good as ever, this is too expensive for very sta...

I was eager to try out this restaurant for the first time. We decided to dine at the theatre after attending a show at the Alhambra. The setting was lovely with a nice view over Bradford, and the table was nicely set. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The halloumi dish looked like a frozen meal from Aldi, and the "pink" fish starter was disappointing as well. The gnocchi and pie were both lacking in flavor. However, the cheesecake for dessert was delicious and saved the meal. The wine was overpriced, making it seem like a high-end restaurant, which was not the case. I would recommend trying one of the local Indian restaurants instead. Additionally, a staff member mention...
