"this small, family-run Japanese restaurant is a hidden gem. the service is imperfect, but very polite to add the charm of the place. the menu is relatiw classic with taking some scrub rolls. one is the house roll (educated), which contains a lot of fish and is quite large cut. the actual excerpt was the horse mackerel sashimi (figurative). beautifully presented and extremely fresh and delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone who is close to the opposite and wants a high-quality No-Frills Japanese meal."

"I tried the pad Thai from here for the first time and I was happily surprised. My standards are extremely high from living in Australia where the Thai food standard is next level and this is the first pad Thai since being home that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed! Great value too only €8.90 (early bird)"

"I discovered Yobun Sushi by chance on a warm April day. Although the restaurant was nearly empty late in the lunch hour, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the mixed sashimi, which featured tuna, salmon, and sea bass. The fish was incredibly fresh, with the sea bass standing out as especially tasty. I also enjoyed a hearty serving of edamame. Overall, the meal offered excellent value for the price."

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I came specifically for the carvery, which was absolutely delicious. The venue is lovely and well-maintained. The only minor issue was that while the staff were very nice when we approached them, they weren't very attentive and it was difficult to get their attention. It's not a major problem since they were pleasant, but it was a bit frustrating to have to get up and ask for things. Overall, I will definitely return and hope that the service was just an isolated incident."

"When I travel south down the moterways, I stop off at my usual filling stations....but if I have more time Ive got some nice options in Moffat, Kirby Longsdale and Lancaster to name a few. When Im heading north, it usually Kinross Servicies for comfort break and a snack. But this trip north. my dughter decided to give The Court house a try. Thankfully she has the knack for picking great places. No booking, but they squeezed us in late lunch time. After a short wait in vestibule, we were shown to a table. Simple sour dough sandwiches, all freshly prepared were just what we needed to get us ready to continue our journey. Cant say anything more than they were great and kitchen staff know their job. Front of house were equally efficiant and Kinross is lucky to have this place on their doorstep. Will make time for this place in future journeys."

"They were out of the item I wanted, which was disappointing since it was around 8:15 PM. Other than that, the food was good, and the waitress was very pleasant! However, the person I was with mentioned that the drink selection was limited, so it might be worth considering an expansion of that menu."

"I love this place- the cashiers are lovely, the food always tastes fresh and well seasoned, and the price point is amazing for the portion sizes you get. Your food is prepared fast but with care, my favourite thing is to get takeaway and take it down to the gardens to eat. I can’t recommend it enough. Their Kimbap is really good!"

"We had a table reserved for 6:00 PM, but we were running a bit late. The restaurant was very accommodating and let us push our reservation to 6:30 PM. The service was excellent, and the food was simply amazing. I ordered the teriyaki salmon, and honestly, it was the best salmon I've ever had—no exaggeration! The portions were a bit small for my liking, but that didn't detract from the experience at all. This place is definitely a must-visit! 10/10!"

"What an amazing restaurant! We had heard that Twelve Eatery was worth visiting but I was sceptical about an all-vegan menu. How wrong I was! A fantastic evening from start to finish. Delicious cocktails to start followed by the highly rated pan seared king oyster 'scallops '. For our main meals we had the Mediterranean raw lasagna which is served cold but has incredible flavours and the roast 'chicken pie ' with seasonal vegetables. For dessert it was a no-brainer to go for the dulcet de leche cheese cake which lived up to the heady expectations we had read about in reviews. The experience was topped off with the chance to talk to co-founders Daulton and Greg who were incredibly generous with their time on a busy evening to chat with us about their journey and the amazing food. Thank you so much. We will be back!! Vegetarian options: Incredible innovation. Superb dishes especially the chicken pie and Lasagne. "Poké has become a popular food trend in London, and Tombo Fitzrovia is right on point with their menu offerings. Guests can choose from classic poké bowls or create their own customized dish, making for an interactive dining experience. I recommend trying the Classic Poké with Salmon or Tuna, as well as the Kaisen Poké with Salmon and Tuna. Vegans and meat-eaters alike will also find delicious options on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the fresh and flavorful tuna and salmon sashimi, as well as the Hello Kitty Poké bowl with salmon, black and white rice, and edible flowers. The dishes were well-prepared and satisfying. The restaurant also offers a variety of award-winning matcha teas, including the Hello Kitty Matcha Latte. The matcha desserts, such as Matcha Tarts and Cheesecakes, are also worth trying. Overall, Tombo offers a fantastic dining experience with high-quality food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Whether you are a fan of matcha or new to poké, this restaurant is a great place to explore these unique flavors."

"Incredible food, the meal was flawless. We started with the halloumi fries, and they were so good that I said the rest of the dinner can 't beat that! ... but it did! The steaks were absolutely delicious, so tender and succulent, cooked to perfection. And the sides, wow! The mash was so creamy and flavourful. The mushrooms were amazing. The garlic on the broccoli was fresh and the broccoli itself scrumptious. The service was excellent. The owner, Azam, was so passionate about his craft, about which was exceedingly knowledgeable. All the staff were polite and really helpful, even giving us boxes to take the leftovers home. Sure, the meal was expensive but it was so good that it was entirely worth it, we’ll have to go back for special occasions and will highly recommend it to our friends. Also, great music!! It 's also BYOB which was great!"

"The Detox kitchen is a rip off. I found the Detox kitchen quite pricey for the amount of food you get but I thought lets give it a chance as we are all a bit tired of Pret which we east for lunches pretty much every day. So I went to Detox quite a number of times to try out the different salad combinations and some other stuff they offer. A couple of them were ok but nothing over the top which would excite to pay the price they ask. Today I went there and asked for the usual '2 salad ' box and once again I watched them grabbing the salad with the serving tongs trying to grab as much AIR as possible fluffing the salad so it looks bigger in the box. The second salad was LITERALLY a trim of carrot so thin that I could see though it and 2 little pieces of Chinese cabbage of some sort and that 's IT! I was a bit offended thinking that I am paying £6.30 for this joke salad box so I asked to add a bit more salad... The girl said that 'it is the portion ' with the smile and won 't add even a gram more. I am not a fussy person and do not usually ask for anything extra or any special treatment but this time I felt like I got ripped off with the smile like never before. Will not be coming back there ever again!"

"We came here because it was a gluten free food Establishment. The staff were really friendly and the overall feel of the place was very professional. Our food came and it was out of this world. The presentation on the plates was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, even more because I didn't have to worry about being glutened. The dessert menu was great. Myself and my partner both picked the protein pancakes and again the presentation was fantastic. They really did look as good as they tasted. I look forward to visiting again"

"The exchange has always been our favourite Greenock restaurant and food was always really good. However we were so delighted to hear that Mary and Eve, formally of Fusion Gourock, have now joined the exchange team!!! Fusion was our favourite Gourock restaurant and the food was alway incredible. The new updated Exchange menu has merged both restaurants menus together and it’s fantastic! As always the staff in the exchange are always fabulous and we can never fault the service. If you’ve never been or haven’t been in a long time, I highly recommend going and trying their new menu. We had the mushroom risotto, steak pie, chicken supreme, sticky tai beef and open steak sandwich, a mix of classics from both menus. It was delicious."

"If you want to join the Leon Lovers Club think again! Apart from the staff taking ages to serve because they were too busy chatting with customers, my first experience of Leon Fenchurch Street was very disappointing. I ordered the chilli con carne, which seemed pretty good value for £4.95 until I got it back to my office. There was barely more than a desert spoonful of sauce, which was insufficient for the amount of rice which in turn was not a great deal. Still felt really hungry and wish I had gone to Wasabi for a Katsu curry! Won't be visiting again!!!"

"The food I ordered was ok in taste, but nothing extraordinary. I expected a bit more to be honest. As a starter I had the truffle and mushroom arancini, where I missed a dip or at least a kind a vinaigrette coming with the rocket leaves. So the arancini were a bit dry when in my mouth. As a main dish I had a beetroot cheese burger. Fries were not included, so I ordered polenta fries. Both of them came with the same dip, but I culdn‘. figure out what kind. Nevertheless the service was friendly during my visit."

"1) Food Quality (5/5) The sushi/sashimi is very high quality; the fish is fresh, buttery rich and served at the correct temperature. Hot food is delicious; katsu sauce is perfectly spiced; teriyaki sauce a tad too potent but great if spread out 2) Food Range (4/5) Range acceptable. Hot food could be expanded slightly for interest e.g. to include noodles. Ready to go sushi in the fridge usually quite limited so need to order bespoke, which takes time 3) Service (2/5) Staff are a little aloof, sullen even, which seems to stem from the management down. The energy of the service needs to be made more positive 4) Atmosphere (2/5) Venue is tiny and pokey. There is no clear queue/order system so customers shuffle around each other, often having to wait outside in the cold 5) Value (3/5) Prices have risen while portion sizes have remained static or reduced. Even given today's difficult economic climate, the food feels just too expensive 6) Overall Verdict (4/5) The hot food is tasty and moreish. The sushi is bordering on exceptional. Would like prices to be more restrained, and more efficient service with more of a smile, but...the food quality drags the overall score to 4/5 7) Got to try... Prawn Katsu Curry, Salmon Teriyaki or go all out with a Sushi Platter!"

"A posh, quaint restaurant tucked close to the beach in Ayr. The restaurant has a limited menu but they’re great at what they do. They’re very good with their service to make sure you’re tended too. The wait time on the food is not too long either. For starters I had the Korean spicy chicken which was great. For the mains I had fish and chips. The fish was done well, crisp and the meat succulent. With. Side of mashed peas. It was also served on a hot plate. The dessert section could use a lot more options. However I made a special request and asked for a piece of brownie with vanilla ice cream on the side drizzled with chocolate sauce. I shall add a picture but I’d like the reader to know that the picture does not do justice to how heavenly the ice cream and brownie tasted together. I’d like to thank the chefs, the support Staff and Sam for the evening. Keep up the great work. Will most certainly visit again everytime I’m in Ayr."
