"Waited minutes at the bar without any acknowledgment from the young lad serving, there was another lass walking around trying to look busy who also ignored me, I was told by someone at the bar that they had waited minutes to get served...and that the server must be in one of his moods, at that point we decided to leave, on opening the door we were greeted by a huge cloud of cannabis smoke and realised that we'd made the correct choice on leaving. We spent in the next pub and were informed that the council only allow Molloy's to remain open so that the police know where all the dregs of society are."

"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting. The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

"We decided to give this restaurant a try and it turned out to be the best meal we've had all year. The five-course meal for £21.95 was delicious, although the last course was just coffee, it was still a great deal. We have paid more than double for similar meals elsewhere. The menu had a good variety and the dishes were well presented. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the Rioja was nice. The live music in the lounge was a bonus and added to the warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly and we will definitely be returning. Thank you, Balmoral, for a wonderful evening."

"My friend and I needed a good old catch up and decided to go to Cafe Source as not been for a while! We were disappointed! The young waitress needed more training in customer service she asked us same questions many times....and didnt seem too confident? My friend had the Croque Monsieur and had to send back as it was cold....not even an authentic Croque Monsieur either! I was quite happy with my order of Prawn and Avocado in a bun, plenty of it and apart from salad consisting of just green leaves out a packet it was quite acceptable. My friend had a Rose wine which was tastleless and I had white wine and soda, which again was tastless. We chose to go elsewhere for coffee.....we also chose to decline the optional service charge as we didnt think deserved it!"

"There is an enormous choice of lunch venues in this area of the City, however I would certainly rate the newly refurbished Balls Brothers in Mark Lane as one of the most pleasant. My friend and I received friendly and personal service from the moment we arrived even though it was very busy and most tables were occupied. Our food was excellent, hot and well presented and the recommended bottle of wine by the waitress was most enjoyable and very reasonable. I shall look forward to returning ........"

"We were staying at the BLVD hotel invited 2 extra guests for Dinner in the restaurant. Lovely meal catching up. We all ate off the Al a carte menu. 3 of us had 3 courses and 1 had 2 courses. I had smoked salmon, rib eye steak followed by trifle, portion sizes were great. Everyone enjoyed the food, service was attentive but not intrusive. Very relaxed atmosphere and we spent 3 hours with our meal but didn't feel rushed and there were no delays in clearing the table or getting the next course. Bill incl. drinks was £220 tip for 4 which I thought was about right. My only teeny weeny gripe is that I asked for a White Russian with my meal and the restaurant said they didn't have any but going to the bar after the meal I noticed that they did stock Kahlua. The new barmaid was absolutely lovely and even though she had never heard of a white Russian she was so obliging and made us two which were perfectly fine so all good in the end. Super polite staff. Would definitely stay at the hotel and eat here again."

"As ever, the quality of the food delivered in this tasting menu was excellent. The cod was divine. The beef was excellent. The chefs sauces are very well constructed. Service was attentive but too speedy. Not enough time between courses to savour the delights! It would be better to leave collecting the plates for a couple of minutes after the last mouthful! The whole experience would have been better if the meal was served in the orangery. Unfortunately, the dining room has little or no ambience and doesn’t match the quality of the food. We are regulars: we will return but look forward to the Orangery being reopened."

"My plans fell through on Saturday night, so we decided to visit Dirty Dicks instead. We haven't been in a while, usually just popping in during the day on weekends, but as always, we were not disappointed. Dirty Dicks is a charming and quirky pub with candles on every table, giving it a nostalgic feel with memorabilia scattered throughout. Nestled away on Rose Street, it feels like a hidden gem in Edinburgh - not pretentious, but full of character. Despite being busy, we were able to snag a cozy table in the corner, perfect for a date night. We ordered some appetizers, which were generously portioned and perfect for sharing. It was a lovely evening, and I highly recommend this authentic Edinburgh pub! X"

"I have attended various social events over several years the food is almost always excellent. However, recent theme nights seem to miss the point. Although few Scots attended, Scottish Night served a lovely Burns Supper the piper was great. Beyond that, the dancing was Old Time rather than Scottish. St George's Night missed the them entirely except for a few flags. What next I wonder?"

"During our week in Alnwick, we dined at this restaurant three times. The first time, we hadn't made a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. We were glad they did because we didn't want to miss out on this place. They have a wonderful selection of wines by the glass, including red, white, and rosé, and everything we tried was fantastic. I would definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was always busy, and it's easy to see why. The prices were reasonable, and I highly recommend this place for delicious food and excellent service."

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."

"The cafe is a really frustrating place to visit as the size of the hot food portions are so inconsistent. They can generous, but more often than not they are miniscule to the point of being insulting, particularly given the price. I won't be rushing back as placing an order for hot food is like spinning a roulette wheel to see how lucky or unlucky you'll be."

"Just had a midweek meal with my family for my birthday. Whilst I can not fault the meal in the least, it really was excellent, the service was not what I expected. It was almost as if they didn't want you to be there. We...were not made to feel welcome at all. Even when I asked what vodkas were available i was told only smirnoff. I tend not to drink smirnoff so asked what beers were available, I was then informed, well we also have grey goose (which I then ordered). Also we asked for the remainder of my kids pizzas to be put in a box to takeaway, this seemed like a chore. The box of take home pizza was left on the table before we had even ordered dessert and coffee. We had to try and fit the desert around it. Including our table of 5 there were about 16 customers in the restaurant. My bill Including tip was £200. Midweek middle of the month I wasn't expecting it to be busy hence I was maybe expecting better and more attentive service. Food was excellent but don't think I'll return any time soon."

"we went here for her gluten-free pizza, which was great. regular pizza was also great. Chicken pesto pasta was very good overall with large pieces of chicken, but lack of Parmesan cheese and/or salt and was a little bland. we did not know that this was not a sit down restaurant and was only for the trip out. later found out that the pub next door served their food, so if they are adult and want to sit down and enjoy eating roast pizzeria, they can."

"My wife and I arrived at this establishment yesterday in an attempt to watch the Champions Cup Final. The game did after all involve an Irish province and the pub claims to be Irish. I was conscious that the game coincided with a football match involving Aston Villa. Consequently I contacted the pub in advance to ensure that the rugby would be shown on at least one of the pub’s many screens. By way of response I was assured by a gentleman called Ryan that the rugby would be shown and that he looked forward to welcoming my group. Alas, when my wife and I arrived and asked which screen the game would be shown on, we were informed that it wouldn’t be. I did inform the manager that his colleague had assured me by email that the rugby would be screened for my group but to no avail. Anyway, this volte face resulted in my group of about 15 by this stage just arrived in Sutton Coldfield from various locations having to make alternative arrangements. The Gosta Green (thanks Kieran) promised to screen the game for us, resulting in us forking out in the region of £60 for four taxis to take us there. We also missed the start of the game. All of this is a result of Molloy’s failing to fulfil a promise made to us, or making a promise in the first place that they knew couldn’t be met. In any case, it’s a level of customer service that is simply unsatisfactory, and demonstrates a total disregard for the cost and serious inconvenience imposed on customers by failing to deliver on promises."

"The last time visited this pub was getting on 30 years ago. I took a friend for her early birthday meal. My kind of menu, simple yet excellent quality food. Sausage and mash for me and pork chop for my friend, followed by Malva pudding (sticky toffee) and vanilla parfait and lime meringue for me. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff, well done all round. Back in November for my birthday."
