"0 stars. This was our favourite Mexican restaurant but we ordered food from here and experienced the worst food poisoning we’ve ever had to the point a paramedic had to visit the house. We tried to email to handle this privately but they took no accountability, they only denied that their food was the cause and told us it was wrong to accuse them and they have done an investigation to conclude they couldn’t have given us food poisoning. How can you know this? You don’t have the food we ate to test this if it was contaminated? This was the only food me and my partner shared and half an hour after eating it we felt a bit weird but didn’t think much of it until we woke up throughout the night with stomach cramps and the full effects of food poisoning started the next morning. They even said via email as we had eaten there before how could they have given us food poisoning? That’s not how food poisoning works… all you had to do was take accountability and apologise but you have failed to do so. We will not be visiting or recommending this restaurant again."

"Really enjoyed our visit to Munch following the change in ownership and would highly recommend it based on our dining experience. Lovely staff, great service, warm atmosphere and a delicious meal. Though we only had chicken crunchies, burgers and fries everything was served served hot,...fresh and and to a very high standard. The burger was the best I’ve had in a very long time, the chicken crunchies superb and the accompanying salad and delicate dressing delicious. Will definitely be ordering a takeaway during lockdown and ask others to support so we can dine in again as and when they reopen. Nice one Munch, thanks!"

"The restaurant and bar has a lovely atmosphere, and the cocktails are quite good. However, they were late in seating us, and it took 20 minutes for us to order drinks even after we seated ourselves. The food was disappointing; the seabass ceviche was overcooked and very fishy with little flavor. Overall, everything took a long time to arrive, and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. The experience felt a bit chaotic and disorganized."

"After booking a short stay in Edinburgh for Easter, I decided to try out this restaurant for our first meal. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be just a short walk from where we were staying. This worked out perfectly after a long and tiring 6-hour journey. The staff at the restaurant were exceptional and the quality of the meals was impressive, catering to all dietary preferences. I was particularly impressed by the delicious vegan meal I ordered, and my family thoroughly enjoyed their choices as well. Our waiter, who I unfortunately didn't catch the name of, was welcoming and knowledgeable. He even shared interesting information about the cafe's concept, which involves three different themed stores around Edinburgh. We finished off the evening back at our apartment, sharing a fantastic vegan dessert. Overall, it was an amazing start and a great first experience in Edinburgh."

"REVIEWED AS PART OF THE WORLD CUP OF BREAKFASTS:El Vergel describes itself as a Latin American and Mediterranean caterers. I’m reliably informed that the menu is mainly Chilean inspired, which isn’t top of most peoples lists when it comes to breakfast. However, the weekend brunch menu here is extensive and is served from 10-4 on Saturdays and Sundays. It is a little bit ‘out of the way’ and probably felt more so on a Sunday morning than it would do during the week. It is a 10 minute walk south of the foodie mecca of Borough Market and 5 minutes from arty Union Street The atmosphere is relaxed, concrete and wooden benches are offset by colourful artwork, graffiti on the walls...read more"

"We have driven past this pub for many years and finally went in for lunch. Kicking ourselves for not enjoying the gorgeous food here before! A proper gastro pub. Beautifully prepared food and friendly service. So good we have booked to go back. Loved the cod cheek pagodas for starter and was really good and didn't eat all of my husband's chicken, leek and ham pie. Gorgeous pastry and delicious mash. I had the lamb which was beautifully tender. Highly recommend. Found room for sticky toffee pudding as well"

"I went to Casa Mexicana with my partner for dinner whilst visiting Bristol. The food here was as good, if not better, than when I was cooked for by a Mexican family in Anaheim. The enchiladas were incredible and so filling, but not like the rip-off ones that you find meal kits for over here. It was classic Mexican and full of flavour. My partner had the chicken with rice, which tasted like it had been tenderising all day. These, plus the duck starter, tasted like you were visiting someone’s home and they were cooking for you. The atmosphere of low-lighting and dark interiors makes you feel you aren’t in England anymore, and mirrors the warmth and homeliness of the food. We will eat here every time we visit Bristol! Tip: Make sure you order the raspberry margarita. You will not regret it!"

"My absolute favourite place to eat, and chill. From the setting, the atmosphere to the cool friendly staff but of course the main star of the show being the fabulous food, I just love it here! Have eaten nearly everything on the menu and try something new each time we visit as they have seasonal changes. I’m always happy, always satisfied and feel good about supporting an indie business that strive to do everything sustainably. We’ve brought non-vegans for brunch and they were just as pleased with the food as we vegans are. The coffee is also insanely good, and we always get some sweet treats from the cabinet when paying as they are so tempting and give us that afternoon boost later in the day on our travels around Exeter."

"We recently needed last-minute catering for a group of 20, and Butternut went above and beyond! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. Every dish felt crafted with care, and the flavors were spot-on. The team was so accommodating and made the whole process stress-free. Highly recommend Butternut for any catering needs or just a cozy spot to grab a bite. Thank you Food: 5"

"A really good dinner venue which is sensibly priced, has a great young team, a varied menu and a really eclectic wine list with some great wines (and value on it. On the wines, we started with a carafe of the white wine of the month pinot Gris and blanc mix, which was excellent and onto a Sicilian red (see photo . We shared 3 small plates, all of which were excellent, and the corn dish had some Indian spices which enhanced it, but didn’t overwhelm. Tomatoes with capers and anchovies was subtle as I find anchovies can overwhelm, and this didn’t. Cheese with asparagus also light, and our nephew polished off a plate of bread (3 types . Our waiter suggested that if we wanted a rotisserie chicken (with chips and salad best chips I have had in ages! , we order it then because it would take an hour. That order went in immediately, by the time we had ordered drinks and finished off the starters, the chicken arrived. Delicious and we took some home. Desserts were a little disappointing after the high bar of the previous dishes: but the fruits in the two dishes were lovely. Couple of sweet wines and we were off. £260 for 3."

"Been here many times, went last Sunday for dinner, stunned to see almost all prices for main courses have doubled, stayed as we did not have any alternative plans, food was fine, service was good, but the price rises are crazy, I had a basic vegetarian curry, £19 for this dish alone, shame as there are a few good pubs around which tied up well with a reasonably priced Chinese, alas no more. Price per person: £30–40"

"Fairford looks like a nice little town but beware if you visit on a Wednesday as it 's market day and parking is very difficult. It 's a nice old building but our visit didn 't start well as there was no tomato juice for my wife. My wife and our friends all had the fish and chips. Fish was pronounced OK but the chips were the usual bland beige tasteless variety. I had the sticky Korean barbecue pork with noodles. It 's the sort of thing I cook a lot and I must say do it a darned sight better. The chicken was tender but the noodles and their sauce were far too salty, and I like salt, and sweet but certainly not hot as described. It was not nice and rather like a supermarket ready meal that you put in the microwave and then add too much soy sauce trying to get a bit of flavour into it. Only my wife and I went for a dessert she had the pannacotta which was borderline OK and I had the mojito cheesecake which was awful a crunchy semi tasteless base with something green on it and then something cream on top of that, all nasty. On the side were some thick slices of banana for some reason. Service was fine, the espresso was a tepid teaspoonful. We won 't be returning."

"The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a friendly waitress. However, some of the food seemed to be pre-prepared and not heated properly. The dishes were also served out of order, causing some diners to wait longer than others. The most disappointing part was when a vegetarian in our group found meat in their dish, despite discussing the contents beforehand. The manager was aware of the situation but did not offer an apology or address the issue. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"Really deflated after coming here today. Went there at 1:30, just to be told that they're not open for sitting in till 2... Even though opening hours say 12. When we got back after 2, we were told that they're not open for sitting in for another at least half an hour without any explanation... As much as I understand that there might be some staffing issues, I am disappointed. No opening hours online or in the restaurant to say when they open for sitting in... Not food issue but the management needs improving, only left me hungry and frustrated."

"The ambiance at this location was fantastic, as always the food at Wahaca is delicious! The only downside for me was the high service charge and tax added on top, which I wasn't a fan of. Despite that, the waiter was friendly and polite, though we did have to wait for him to take our order."

"leave the al pastor 24h marinated pork. they were really good. the swarm was made with avocado, twill lime and the thinnest slicer of sweet ananas that perfected the balance. we had three and it was the perfect amount. the personal was great and I liked the music choice (sometimes that harassed me) a cocktail that ended everyone well. it is a good place to catch a place on the market. the ribs looked good, I'll try the next time."

"visiting Bibury We entered a Gallery, this Gallery had incredible works of art, there a charming lady attended us, she asked us where we come from and when we answered Venezuela she got excited, she told us she visited Venezuela 15 years ago, specifically Los Tepuis, she immediately told us about a Latin restaurant with a Venezuelan touch, we immediately called and booked. So we came to Galgos Latino and ate the best Tequeños we have had in a while."

"if they are looking for a restaurant in cg, I would like to encourage them to find a non-chain restaurant as they can find wahaca in london and secondly, I personally do not think that eating here is amazing or authentic. cg is filled with amazing unique vegan options and I personally would not waste my time in cg on a chain restaurant. eating in wahaca is super average and definitely doesn't taste like authentic Mexican foods I didn't expect in Europe anyway. this is a chain and as such I tried a few steadfasts and had similar badluster experiences. many vegan options marked clearly on the menu. guac and chips were good. tostada wasn't great. I wouldn't order the mais again. the small bean and rice pack with vegan cheese was great."
