"Been here many times, went last Sunday for dinner, stunned to see almost all prices for main courses have doubled, stayed as we did not have any alternative plans, food was fine, service was good, but the price rises are crazy, I had a basic vegetarian curry, £19 for this dish alone, shame as there are a few good pubs around which tied up well with a reasonably priced Chinese, alas no more. Price per person: £30–40"

"The windows restaurant is a lovely setting, great views and relaxed atmosphere. I found the wairing staff very friendly. I booked this venue for myself and friends from out of town to catch up. My friends stated that they liked the venue. From my perspective the food wasn't up to standard, I put on my booking form that I was vegetarian with a dairy intolerance, so would expect the chef to be prepared, however the vegetable beef Wellington was a very small portion, not as described by the waitress, it was soggy and made to look bigger by being presented on top of a lot of baby potatoes. There was too much potato and not enough Wellington. I'm sorry I didn't complain at the time, awkward moment when you are catching up with friends you don't see often, I did not want to spoil the atmosphere. I would certainly give 5 stars if the food was up to scratch vegetarian curry was pretty hot for my friend's taste and mine but tasty, burgers were reported to be nice, chips were good). Kitchen is letting all the good work done by other staff down, is my take on it. I worked as a cook for 20 years)."

"Food is usually ok but the last two occasions have been poor. Rolls and scrambled egg had peppercorns through it, well I’m assuming it was peppercorns and not burnt flakes from a pan. Very random as never requested pepper on anything. Last visit a plain chicken panini had cheese burned on to it which indicates to me the press wasn’t cleaned so obviously no care taken regarding cross contamination and allergies as well as just basic hygiene."

"The staff at this restaurant were delightful! The children had a fantastic time and the prices were very reasonable, especially for families with multiple kids. I will definitely be coming back again."

"My husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The soup of the day was particularly tasty and the bread that accompanied it was soft and enjoyable. I appreciated that the sandwich included vegetables. Although it is not located near Stirling Castle, if you are traveling solo, you will not be disappointed by dining here. It is a local restaurant that we, as Koreans, enjoyed."

"Fairford looks like a nice little town but beware if you visit on a Wednesday as it 's market day and parking is very difficult. It 's a nice old building but our visit didn 't start well as there was no tomato juice for my wife. My wife and our friends all had the fish and chips. Fish was pronounced OK but the chips were the usual bland beige tasteless variety. I had the sticky Korean barbecue pork with noodles. It 's the sort of thing I cook a lot and I must say do it a darned sight better. The chicken was tender but the noodles and their sauce were far too salty, and I like salt, and sweet but certainly not hot as described. It was not nice and rather like a supermarket ready meal that you put in the microwave and then add too much soy sauce trying to get a bit of flavour into it. Only my wife and I went for a dessert she had the pannacotta which was borderline OK and I had the mojito cheesecake which was awful a crunchy semi tasteless base with something green on it and then something cream on top of that, all nasty. On the side were some thick slices of banana for some reason. Service was fine, the espresso was a tepid teaspoonful. We won 't be returning."

"The cafe is in a lovely location but unfortunately that is where the praise ends . We ordered our food and my friend was asked by the member of staff (blond with glasses if she would like a wrap or the bowl option she asked for a wrap . When our food arrived they had got the order wrong and delivered a bowl . We told her we had ordered a wrap , she snapped at us rudely and said ‘I asked if you wanted a wrap or a bowl’. I told her I had heard my friend say wrap but the waitress had already turned round in a huff and stormed off without listening . It then took ages for the replacement wrap to arrive. Whoever owns this place you really need to rethink the staff you employ, this woman has no customer service at all !!!"

"I used to come here frequently to due vicinity forgave the mediocre speed and sometimes half cooked vegetables in salads (although all pasta I had was delicious! in view of the charm and friendliness of staff the owner though, is something else: disorganised, interrupting and rude and certainly ALWAYS right!"

"We had a veggie set for 2 (6 different dishes). All those dishes are also available as separate meals to be ordered. Overall experience is good. Food was served quickly and service was very pleasant. Some dishes were very tasty (stuffed blue corn tortilla, tacos with plantain), some were fine (black bean quesadilla, tacos with pumpkin), some just average (broccoli, tacos with mushrooms). Some tacos were too soggy because of the filling and were falling apart in my hands, making it difficult to eat, other meals contained the same spices making it difficult to distinguish between 2 originally very different meals. As it was a share set for 2, it was a bit strange that some meals contained odd number of items (1pc and 3pc in some dishes) on the plates. It could have been better, should they really customise their sets for 2 people and not just bring those meals the way they are stated in the menu as separate items to order."

"Yet another bad barista experience. They look the part and have everything required to make a decent brew but yet again, the skills are lacking. I should have realised when it took less than a minute to produce my “flat white”. Too hot overall so the microfoam dissipated within moments. Learn the craft, take the time and deliver great coffee rather than average to poor."

"I visited your mayfair branch on Friday 26th May and ordered a cappuccino and acai bowl. I was very disappointed with the acai bowl. The coconut on top was missing and the strawberries were very big not like how you get the Instagram influencers you use to promote your business when you invite them for free meals . The pictures are also very misleading on your website including social media as the acai bowl you served me was very disappointing with very little granola and acai. It was watery and cappuccino was cold . It was my birthday on Friday and very unhappy with spending nearly £20.00 on **** food . Please provide a refund to resolve my complaint."

"Our visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing and we will not be coming back. The atmosphere felt like a school cafeteria, the staff were inattentive, and you had to order everything from the bar with no drinks menu and limited wine options. The carvery was mediocre at best, with tough beef, fatty gammon, and soggy vegetables. The only decent option was the turkey. The gravy was decent but the lid was broken, causing a mess. Even the bangers and mash were dry. To top it off, all five toilets were out of toilet paper. Overall, a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning."

"We, other half and I hadn 't been out since his knee replacement and we decided we 'd go to The Cockatoo to celebrate our missed Christmas, New Year and his birthday on his first day back driving, We were served by a lovely waitress (from the Borders, I think), We both had a wee yin Chicken and Vegetable Soup served with lovely French bread and butter followed by a wee yin Fish and Chips and I settled for a Big Yin deep fried Brie and Jelly. No room for dessert. Don 't be fooled by Wee Yin , they certainly aren 't WEE.I was shocked to read Absolutely DISGUSTED , we have never ever had any complaints in all the times we have visited The Cockatoo. One thing that does irritate me a little is that the same big black 4 x 4 is always parked in the closest to the door disabled space (no blue badge visible) so....... when it is busy and let 's face it a lot of Pensioners go for lunch and there 's a lot of infirmities in the elderly it can be quite a walk. There is also a Loyalty type card which gives a generous discount for repeat visits (If you remember to put it in your bag). There is a variety of places to sit some are dark, some are bright, nice seating areas beside windows. I 'm not a fan of the Conservatory, but there is a seating place to suit everyone.I think Wednesdays are going to be our trip to The Cockatoo day. Thanks to Michael for our excellent service on our last visit."

"Just been for lunch with drinks which I paid for using my card then had another round of drinks which my partner paid for then challenged saying we had a third round of drinks which we had not had. Manager then came out saying he believed his staff but would give us the benefit of the doubt. Would not mind but we would have had a third drink if it had not been for the fact that they tried to rip us off. Also asked for mayonnaise and ketchup for the meal which we never got. Was planning on takinkg 2 friends for lunch on Sunday but wont be going now. Would not mind but we had spent over £35 and we were only there about just over an hour. This pub does not deserve to be in business if thats how they treat their customers."

"The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a friendly waitress. However, some of the food seemed to be pre-prepared and not heated properly. The dishes were also served out of order, causing some diners to wait longer than others. The most disappointing part was when a vegetarian in our group found meat in their dish, despite discussing the contents beforehand. The manager was aware of the situation but did not offer an apology or address the issue. Overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"Was very looking forward to seating in Paladar’s backyard after reading some food reviews disappointedly the backyard turned out to be too loud to talk to my friends (super loud music other tables over talking). The dishes are quite creative and all have nice presentation in cute plates. The ingredients they have used are pretty good (from the seafood dishes) but none of the 6 dishes we ordered we thought ‘wow’. Pork Belly Taco was the interesting and tasty one. Cocktails were about 10£ each. Asked for a recommendation for a sweet cocktail, turned out the one made with rum honey lime was overly sweet. Party Size: 4 Food: 6 dishes (no sides) Drinks: 2 cocktails 1 virgin cocktail 1 wine Price: £120"

""The best breakfast in London, and I've been to all the cafes here! The quality of the produce is top-notch and cooked perfectly. Other establishments should take notes and stop using cheap ingredients while overcharging. This place is always busy, unlike the two cafes up the road that are always empty. If The Regency opened at 6:30am, it would easily get six stars! Marco, Claudia, and the rest of the staff are doing an excellent job. Well done, guys. See you again soon!""

"The ambiance at this location was fantastic, as always the food at Wahaca is delicious! The only downside for me was the high service charge and tax added on top, which I wasn't a fan of. Despite that, the waiter was friendly and polite, though we did have to wait for him to take our order."

"Really deflated after coming here today. Went there at 1:30, just to be told that they're not open for sitting in till 2... Even though opening hours say 12. When we got back after 2, we were told that they're not open for sitting in for another at least half an hour without any explanation... As much as I understand that there might be some staffing issues, I am disappointed. No opening hours online or in the restaurant to say when they open for sitting in... Not food issue but the management needs improving, only left me hungry and frustrated."

"If you need a break from Manchester life or just feel the urge to escape without leaving the country, we always found Bijou refreshingly different, with an atmosphere that allows you to forget you are in Manchester or even Britain. That said, it does one of Britain's best fry-up breakfasts, which are great value for money too and the friendly staff make a half-decent coffee. There are plenty of dining tables, a front terrace and a courtyard that we remember being open during summer plus (our favourite) fabulously comfortable sofas in one corner perfect for a relax.Recently returning after about six years away we were pleased to find little had changed and the formula is obviously working for the owners, who have survived the financial crisis and recession. This reviewer now lives in cafe-heaven Melbourne so to remain impressed with Bijou is a complement of the highest order!"
