"Keen to support local businesses I visited to purchase some garden supplies. My debit card wouldn’t work at the till, and the member of staff in question quickly became verbally abusive , emotionally disregulated, and she spoke to me in a manner which left me feeling shocked and upset. Shouting and pointing, ‘no no no’ ‘you keep doing that’ when in actual fact the card reader didn’t have a signal and in the end she had to move to the door to get a signal. I politely said to the woman ‘do not speak to me disrespectfully like that.’ I have never been spoken to in such a manner by a member of staff in any establishment. This is deeply concerning, although I understand this woman’s reputation goes before her, and this type of behaviour is not uncommon. Interestingly it is also mentioned in other comments. I would report to the manager but they don’t seem to have a website. I will not be returning and will take my business elsewhere. Shocking!"

"I've eaten here before and enjoyed the soup and the outdoor seating area downstairs. I was tired and hungry so popped in for a drink and something to eat. I paid by phone and only afterwards realised I'd paid £8.80 for a cup of tea and an egg roll to eat in. The egg roll was £6.50... and going dry and turning stale at 3.30pm. If I hadn't been so hungry and near the end of their day (closes 4pm), I'd have sent it back. When I queried the bill on leaving I was told it cost that much because I could have had salad with it."

"Great place to have a good sandwich, toast or waffles with a great presentation. The service from the waitstaff is very good but a little slow when it comes to serving. We tried the avocado toast, Turkish eggs and two sandwiches. I highly recommend the chilli cheese sandwich, with various types of cheese and a slightly spicy chilli mayonnaise. A delight."

"Not set in the most attractive part of London but they had a deal of the Day shepherds pie and you got apple crumble with custards for free. I do not know if they do deals of the day all the time I only ate here as I was passing. As per the title, it was a good fulfilling dinner and with the apple crumble it was great. A large cup of apple juice with ice on top and my bill came to £8.50. If I find myself in this area again I would eat again at this cafe. I can see they make a good effort to keep it clean but the toilets do let the place down a little, they could do with a little renovation and TLC."

"leave the al pastor 24h marinated pork. they were really good. the swarm was made with avocado, twill lime and the thinnest slicer of sweet ananas that perfected the balance. we had three and it was the perfect amount. the personal was great and I liked the music choice (sometimes that harassed me) a cocktail that ended everyone well. it is a good place to catch a place on the market. the ribs looked good, I'll try the next time."

"I was pleasantly surprised with the vegan menu from chiquito. they ask for the vegan menu and there is a good choice of appetizers, nets and desserts. I went to lunch with an omni friend who had the lunch menu 2 courses for 11 etc. and was a little frustrated to see that it vegan option for starter and dessert in the frame of this menu, but not a pornstar. after the conversation with the waiting staff they said that it should be a vegan option as pornstars and it was agreed that I have the vegarito vegan burrito as part of the lunch special. garlauch tostada was amazing and a huge part of great sharer, although it was for a person. and the churros were beautiful! vegarito haupt was really delicious and although I enjoyed it, I had not expected to have a vegan meat in the burrito, just begging and tearing as that was what I saw on the menu. the soy meat was beautiful and had a great taste."

"This is my go to venue whenever I’m in the Allerton region meeting friends, getting hangry whilst shopping or simply need a little pick me up. The interior is gorgeously designed simple and Scandi inspired. An instant helping of hygge as soon as you walk in. The staff are always as lovely as can be without ever being over the top a delicate balance that’s hard to achieve (but these guys have nailed it! The quality of the food is extremely high end for a small daytime venue. The chefs really know what they’re doing (Stand out dish for me the is the mouthwatering range of hassle back potatoes ! The coffee also never fails to hit the spot Skaus can hold its own with even the ponciest hipster baristas. Oh and it sells delicious bread and wine to take away too! Foodies and coffee snobs take note if you only visit one place in the Allerton region, make it here! Just be sure to get there early as it’s hugely popular with locals and fills up very quick!"

"visiting Bibury We entered a Gallery, this Gallery had incredible works of art, there a charming lady attended us, she asked us where we come from and when we answered Venezuela she got excited, she told us she visited Venezuela 15 years ago, specifically Los Tepuis, she immediately told us about a Latin restaurant with a Venezuelan touch, we immediately called and booked. So we came to Galgos Latino and ate the best Tequeños we have had in a while."

"if they are looking for a restaurant in cg, I would like to encourage them to find a non-chain restaurant as they can find wahaca in london and secondly, I personally do not think that eating here is amazing or authentic. cg is filled with amazing unique vegan options and I personally would not waste my time in cg on a chain restaurant. eating in wahaca is super average and definitely doesn't taste like authentic Mexican foods I didn't expect in Europe anyway. this is a chain and as such I tried a few steadfasts and had similar badluster experiences. many vegan options marked clearly on the menu. guac and chips were good. tostada wasn't great. I wouldn't order the mais again. the small bean and rice pack with vegan cheese was great."

"Had coffee, poilane toast and a croissant here recently. The 6 small hard slices of toast came with a very small portion of butter. We asked for some more, couldn't believe when looking at our bill they had the audacity to charge 50p for 2 more small squares. The amount of butter they gave to start with wouldn't have covered 2 slices of toast!. Needed butter as the toast was so hard. The coffee and jam were good. Had been before but not for a little while. Would we return, think there are better options around. The staff were very pleasant"

"Four of us decided last minute that we wanted afternoon tea. The owner of the restaurant was extremely friendly and welcoming. Despite many of her cakes being sold out, which is a good sign of quality as she bakes everything on the premises, she was able to quickly put together a variety of delicious treats including jam cream scones, fresh strawberries, slices of homemade cake, and tea in less than 10 minutes. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, giving us a taste of home on the always changing Gloucester Road."

"This little gem of a cafe is very friendly and family-run. They are very clean, the service is exceptional and quick so you don't have to wait long for lunch. The food is always fresh and very well-priced. They have a variety of hot and cold foods which taste fantastic. They serve breakfast in the morning including a nice coffee which is well-priced and of great quality. Eat-in downstairs for a lovely peaceful lunch."

"I call this fancy gourmet gringo Mexican food. Doesn’t mean it isn’t good, just not authentic and I would not expect authentic Mexican in Scotland anyway. The service is ok. The ambiance is upbeat and good Spanish music. Fairly extensive menu of street tacos, enchiladas, burritos, tostadas, starters. Good variety of tequilas and margaritas. We shared between three of us: grilled prawn tostadas, roasted cauliflower street tacos, charred corn and refried bean quesadillas, chipotle roast vegetables quesadillas. Husband also ordered shredded honey pork tacos. Everything was very flavorful. Nothing spicy though. The Union Mezcal old fashioned margarita was good with mezcal tequila although a bit too sweet. The Tommy margaritas were even sweeter. Overall a very good dinner and I would recommend. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"Located just off Oxford Street, this cozy cafe/diner offers a quick and satisfying meal for travelers, locals, and regulars alike. The friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere make it a great spot to grab a traditional cooked breakfast before heading to the West End or a meeting. The only downside is that the coffee may not meet designer standards - my flat white ended up being more like a latte. However, the poached eggs on toast were delicious, with fresh bread and a selection of sauces and freshly ground pepper provided by the wait staff. Customers can choose between counter service or table service."

"We called for breakfast. We didn't want a processed over priced breakfast. It was excellent value, with fast service. Proper cup of tea, and proper quality tasting filter coffee. Some breakfasts can have a funny taste like they have been stood in fat, but this tasted fresh. Would def recommend. If Chunky says it's nice, it must be. Sorry bout the empty plates in the photo, we were hungry"

"On route from Workington to Middlesbrough I decided to stop for a brew. The Café was closed, 11am. I thought to use the loo and carry on, but theToilets were full to the brim of sh*t and there was no toilet paper even if I wanted to use it. The basin was full of vomit. This was very disappointing as I've stopped there overnight before and it was good. Not again."

"I went last night before the cinema and ended up vomiting afterward. I think it was due to the cactus salad I was recommended by the staff because they had no Mexican salad. there is however some nice Mexican lagers best part of the experience. the service was slow. waited 15 minutes for chips and guac which were good but you can't really get those wrong but still a small bowl of guac for the amount of chips. Then a further 30 mins for 4 tacos (which weren't pleasant) then a further 20 mins for the worst quesadilla I've ever been witness too. Hungo they called it which was cheese tortilla and these particularly unusual rubbery mushrooms. Staff were pleasant but I believe they are very much aware of how bad the food is. I'll stick to tequila tequila en el futuro."

"When my husband dropped me off, took me a while to locate hidden away at the top of an antiques store, this small cafe only has a few tables and if you are coming here especially and not just after a wander then you should probably book probably book in whatever case as you don't want to miss out. We had the festive afternoon tea and the value for money was fantastic. Every piece was so delicious the sandwiches were made with thick slices from loaves, the scones were tasty, we had as much cream as you could wish for... I could go on. The service was good too, despite the fact the team was a staff member down for the most part. If you want a cosy tea room experience, this really is an ideal spot. Probably the biggest praise I can give is that I have said to other people that we will have to go."

"It was my first time coming here today, so glad I stumbled across this beautiful shop. I was going to go to tesco opposite but I'd rather support small businesses. I was greeted by a very helpful kind polite gentleman (didn't get his name sorry) and he was very professional, lovely guy. The menu omg I was spoilt for choice! They have a wide variety to choose from, the shop was clean. Food was amazing, can't recommend it enough, very flavourful, fresh and reasonably priced too. I had the bbq mayo chicken wrap, got my partner a pork stuffing baguette (so tempted to eat it whilst he's doing his theory and make out I didn't get him anything lol) the food is THAT nice. Loads of drinks selection too, crisps etc. Will deffo be back! Overall amazing. 5*"
