"a little hidden gem in boroughbridge, the dining room offers a menu to enjoy most tastes and appetite. the restaurant feels light and airy, the staff are welcoming and ready to accept the needs of nutrition. the food is cooked to order and in our case, arrived in good order and piping hot. not the salat! the upper bar contains an eclectic mixture of objects and offers a beautiful waiting area, should they have to wait for a table. overall, excellent eating, good prices that are looking for out."

"First time here today as we chose this for a full English breakfast. We were impressed by the quality, portions and reasonable price, especially with the double up for £1 option! Service was brilliant with polite and efficient staff. Pleasant cafe decor and nice external..."

"A wonderful place to stop for lunch or a quick coffee and cake! Staff are so friendly and patient as we often changed our minds given the array of choice. I had a cherry hot chocolate and I would come again just for that! My friend said it was the best coffee she had ever had. The prices are ridiculously reasonable and there was a good selection for my veggie friend. Since going we haven't stopped talking about it and are desperate to return. Lovely little place!"

"I recently visited this restaurant for a quick drink. I was in the mood for a mocktail, but they didn't have them on their menu. However, the kind waitress made me a passion fruit martini without alcohol after some negotiation on the price. The staff was very attentive and provided good service. My friend ordered a pizza, which arrived quickly but seemed a bit dry. He mentioned that it tasted good though. The restaurant has a lovely view of the airport, but sitting by the window with the heaters blasting hot air was uncomfortable for me due to menopausal symptoms. I ended up moving to a different seat further away. The prices were higher than usual since it's a hotel restaurant with no competition around. I would like to try the main restaurant next time. It was not very crowded when we went, but the bar area was quite busy with guests."

"One of our favourite eating places in Holmfirth. Opposite the bus terminal, just off the main road. There is a deli at the front and a cafe to the side and behind. This cafe is popular so visit early to get a seat. I had a hot roast turkey sandwich, with all the trimmings, only £5.95, my wife had a roast ham and mustard sandwich. Both were wonderful and very filling. However for something different you could have pea soup with a pork pie. We always call in here when visiting Holmfirth."

"Party of nine family members dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Four courses for £14:50 had my daughter incredulous as she lives in NYC where you’d be lucky to get a starter for that! Seafood starter was stand out, soup and pâté excellent too. Roast beef was melt in your mouth, the gammon in mustard sauce to die for and the turkey and ham moist and tender. Desserts perfect too, with the tea/coffee served with it. We can recommend the Merlot, too. Service friendly and attentive. Absolutely brilliant value in lovely surroundings."

"Heathrow Terminal 2 has become my home in Europe. I 've spent more time in this airport compared to any other and finding food is CRITICAL to surviving the trek over the Atlantic. I 've tried pretty much ALL the restaurants here and unequivocally, EAT is my favourite place. From the drinks, to the selection, to the costs... its the only place that makes you feel good in the air after eating while still being able to walk onto the plane thinking your wallet is intact. Though I know other places offer 'picnic ' lunches... none of them compare in price, quality, quantity, and variety as creating your own packed lunch from here. I often grab a fruit salad, main salad or wrap or sandwich, and a treat to go. I often grab a soy latte as well to keep me awake while flying back home. I love how the soy is not an extra charge. Their dirty chai soy latte is pretty good for an airport (thats a chai soy latte with a shot of espresso! . I 've eaten their falafel salad, cranberry turkey sandwich, and their roast sandwich... in addition to a dozen other options. I can safely say that they 're all as good as restaurant quality OUTSIDE the airport. They may not be Michelin quality but non have been soggy, terribly underseasoned, limp, or disgusting... everything here is good. As for the treats... their millionare shortbread is good. Gooey caramel on top of a tender shortbread and topped with chocolate. It 's a good treat for those who want to indulge beyond the fruit salads offerings. Another 2 great things about this place... it has ports for you to recharge your phones while eating AND it has screens built into their seating area showing the flights and gates. I really like coming here and relaxing with the latte while they waiting to post gate information. It can get busy here during lunches and their wait staff do get a bit overwhelmed clearing the tables but overall, most times it is super clean and a good place to relax while in Term 2 ... unless you 're in the Singapore Kris lounge but thats another story altogether!"

"A very pleasant place in the centre of the city. It might look small from the outside, but there is plenty space downstairs if you want to sit down and relax. The wooden interior is different from your usual coffee shop, it's not exactly cosy,, but it's definitely nice in its own way. I ordered a flat white and it was spot on. The milk had just the right texture and the temperature was perfect. It is clear that baristas have been trained well. You can also get some here, and they really thought about everyone they cater to different dietary needs."

"Turned up on spec with my other half last Saturday, wanting lunch. Amazing location and stunning building (definitely haunted, ace) and the staff were just wonderful. I am veggie and gluten free, so whilst options were limited, they couldn't do enough for me. I ordered a cheese sandwich and they came back and asked if I wanted a toastie, and it was stunning. Fresh ingredients, good gluten free bread (rare to find) and a nice fresh salad. The lady who was cooking was so attentive and aware of the whole allergen risk thing, even in a small kitchen. Plus both myself and my girlfriend commented at how bubbly and lovely the waitress was! Makes such a difference and really made the experience of just stopping for lunch a great one, enough to write a review. Will definitely be back as we only live on Anglesey."

"Went for Boxing Day lunch. All I will say is that the food and service was excellent ! I had the most enormous focaccia bread turkey sandwich which had sausages, bacon, cranberry sauce and onion relish on it really lovely and very generous portion with great dressed side salad and chips. Fabulous value at £9! My fellow dinners had great fish chips/braised pigs cheeks on mash black pudding. Both thoroughly enjoyed. Plus 2 desserts which were lovely too. Atmosphere in this place has got better and better recently with dining area now cosy following addition of a snug area where part of the restaurant area used to be. The pub in general is just back to being a warm, clean, friendly, welcoming place to go and it is just great to have the New Inn ‘back’ as a local pub with great food. Quality ingredients cooked with skill style mean the food tastes as good as it looks. Next time you fancy something to eat/drink make the effort to come here as you will not be disappointed!"

"My brother and his partner visited me in Cumbria to celebrate his 55th birthday. His requirement was 'a good steak ' and he certainly got that with all the trimmings at the newly refurbished (after the December 2015 floods) Dolly Blue Bar. His partner had the Cajun chicken with salad and a side, I had the steak burger and they were all delicious. The new chef and servers in Dolly Blue provided superb cuisine and excellent service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"

"I was ecstatic to finally have some crab on the final day of our vacation! My husband and I enjoyed the incredibly delicious crab salad baguettes. I was also tempted by the roast pork. The food was very reasonably priced and the young man serving us was amazing - he knew the menu well and was able to quickly offer us various options. It was also sweet of him to ask my child which lunch box design he preferred for his kids meal - a monkey, lion, etc."

Was very close ...........that impact ....I don 't to think about it ...Excellent reaction and catch!Pure Angel reactions !After that all Her facts ,reactions ,the First Aid She done was with OUT any hesitations and very confident in what She does. I honestly tell you guys I remained like a stone and I did not have any reaction in the next 3-5 minutes . This girl ask for a phone ...She don 't get one because everybody was shocked about what was going on and She run for the office phone I guess and the ambulance was there and help the old man and take him away to hospital .Today I was to have my usual lunch and I see her again , smiling ,very polite with that good energy and vibe like usual.I notice her name it 's NOT Michelle and it 's Michaela .I personally thanked Her again today for showing me once more time that, YES! angels exist and should be appreciated as much now when we still have them around.Sincerely , C. "After visiting Caergrie Castle, we stopped just beneath at a visually unimpressive sandwich cum light meals shop. The small general store next door put us on to it as a good option with their quality and taste rating, telling us not to be put off...given its decidedly old fashioned simplicity in appearance. The very personable lady owner told us she begins before opening by cooking fresh chicken, turkey, ham and pork every day. We accordingly each ordered a different large bap sandwich from her equally friendly young man assistant, splitting one Cherry Coke from the glass cold case. I almost never order such sweet carbonated drinks but admittedly it was enjoyable. My wife had a very tender and generously portioned turkey sandwich with lettuce , tomato and mayo. I chose the chicken tikka with onions, tomato, lettuce and mayo. Both were so fresh and surprisingly delicious. There were a couple of other options I would readily consider for an easy inexpensive lunch if returning to the area. At given the quality of ingredients, hospitality, and generosity of portions, the value was outstanding."

"I just to go there every weekend to see a large group of bikes all types and sizes some of them amazing to look even if you don't like bikes aswell while I am there was a nice cafe serving food and drink always busy with so many people visiting the place now is the opposite the place was turned to a wedding venue the parking outside is replaced with wooden benches so no many bikers reduced to a handful of them and the place totally empty unless they got a wedding. I am very disappointed of this happening as before as far as remember always was full outside the cafe and inside"

"I love the sandwiches/pastries here but really disappointed with poor and slow service. There were 4 people behind the counter. 2 people were waiting for coffee orders and because there weren't any, they were just standing waiting. The other 2 were taking one order at a time and wouldn't take the next order until the whole order had finished (lots of standing and waiting for sandwiches to toast and then even delivering to the tables (whilst the other 2 were standing around). It's 1pm on 27th October and I was there 10 minutes ago so perhaps management need to have a word with those staff working because it's very frustrating to watch when you are on a lunch break. Then when I did receive my toasted mozarella and pesto sandwich, it had been shoved into the bag so it wasn't even a sandwich anymore. Most of the mozarella had clearly slipped out in the cooking process so I was left with mostly bread and tomato. Really disappointed. Not going back unless I receive a free sandwich and the service improves. They really can't charge that kind of money and not train the staff properly."

"We come here with our children as they have the free farm and we will then pop into the farm shop to buy some local produce. On this occasion, we went to the coffee shop for a hot drink and a snack. As money is often at the for-front of minds atm, I was shocked to see the prices they had for simple foods such as beans on toast £5.50) and cheese on toast £6.50)! We decided to get some cheese on toast to see what it was like , if it included any garnish etc but it was literally cheese on toast and the cheese had been burnt. The hot chocolate was also a very artificial tasting and at £3.80 is more expensive then our local, more high end, coffee shop. I know everyone is struggling but these prices just aren’t justified for what it was. At least add some crisps or salad with the cheese on toast. Interior is comfortable and welcoming. Staff polite, however, lady taking order was very robotic. We won’t be visiting the cafe again anytime soon solely because of the quality of food and the extortionate prices."

"Nice cozy atmosphere, good food and lovely staff. There were 23 of us and virtually everyone ordered something different from the menu, in advance. Lauren was just amazing and helpful at every turn. Couldn’t have done it without her.. She not only coped with cancellations and changes with a smile, but also helped to serve at table. The food was well presented and tasty and we all admired dishes we shall try next time (this is the 5th time all the family have travelled to meet up here for a meal). The large back dining room is great and just the right size for a big party. Thanks so much to Lauren and all the staff for an excellent time. Faultless! Xxx"

"I have visited this church linked café/restaurant many times in the past the most recent being today. I have always had a hot meal whether from the standard menu or the specials board all have been excellent value and very tasty. Today I had the home made steak and kidney pie with new potatoes, carrots and sweet corn and a pot of tea more of this later. The meal was served piping hot and was ample for a lunch I was satisfied but not over full at the end of my meal. Previously I have had a lamb hot pot again home made that appeared on the specials board it was full of lamb and not wishing to repeat myself very tasty. I have never tried the desserts as I find a cooked meal is ample for dinner time so lunch to those with breading. My only criticism is that the tea is too weak the pot is large enough for two tea bags or the quality of the teat needs reviewing. of course it could be partly my fault by putting to much full fat milk in the cup first, I am used to skimmed milk at home. The café is run as a charity organisation, I was introduced to it by a work colleague several years ago and visit when ever I am in Oldham. The serving staff appear to have a mixture of disabilities or learning difficulties but all do their job very well. The café is large, well used so much a so at the normal dinner time 12 to 1.00pm it can be difficult to find a free table. If you want a nice ordinary home cooked meal and are in Oldham seek out this cafe it is tucked away down a narrow cul de sac just off the town centre."
