"Situated on the corner of a junction with a small area for car parking opposite the pub this fabulous small unspoilt country pub has a surprising menu. Most of the menu is vegan! One side of the pub is for adults only while the other accepts children and dogs. Although you don’t need to book it may be best to avoid the disappointment of not being able to secure a table if wanting to eat. They do have a seating area by the parking and you can order from your table using an app. We had an enormous burger and the homity pie followed by chocolate cake and Icecream, plus sticky toffee pudding with cream. The food was fab. I also sampled one of the vegan beers and B had one of the vegan lagers, both on pump. Really looking forward to visiting again."

"Turned up on spec with my other half last Saturday, wanting lunch. Amazing location and stunning building (definitely haunted, ace) and the staff were just wonderful. I am veggie and gluten free, so whilst options were limited, they couldn't do enough for me. I ordered a cheese sandwich and they came back and asked if I wanted a toastie, and it was stunning. Fresh ingredients, good gluten free bread (rare to find) and a nice fresh salad. The lady who was cooking was so attentive and aware of the whole allergen risk thing, even in a small kitchen. Plus both myself and my girlfriend commented at how bubbly and lovely the waitress was! Makes such a difference and really made the experience of just stopping for lunch a great one, enough to write a review. Will definitely be back as we only live on Anglesey."

"Went for Boxing Day lunch. All I will say is that the food and service was excellent ! I had the most enormous focaccia bread turkey sandwich which had sausages, bacon, cranberry sauce and onion relish on it really lovely and very generous portion with great dressed side salad and chips. Fabulous value at £9! My fellow dinners had great fish chips/braised pigs cheeks on mash black pudding. Both thoroughly enjoyed. Plus 2 desserts which were lovely too. Atmosphere in this place has got better and better recently with dining area now cosy following addition of a snug area where part of the restaurant area used to be. The pub in general is just back to being a warm, clean, friendly, welcoming place to go and it is just great to have the New Inn ‘back’ as a local pub with great food. Quality ingredients cooked with skill style mean the food tastes as good as it looks. Next time you fancy something to eat/drink make the effort to come here as you will not be disappointed!"

"Party of nine family members dined here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Four courses for £14:50 had my daughter incredulous as she lives in NYC where you’d be lucky to get a starter for that! Seafood starter was stand out, soup and pâté excellent too. Roast beef was melt in your mouth, the gammon in mustard sauce to die for and the turkey and ham moist and tender. Desserts perfect too, with the tea/coffee served with it. We can recommend the Merlot, too. Service friendly and attentive. Absolutely brilliant value in lovely surroundings."

"A very pleasant place in the centre of the city. It might look small from the outside, but there is plenty space downstairs if you want to sit down and relax. The wooden interior is different from your usual coffee shop, it's not exactly cosy,, but it's definitely nice in its own way. I ordered a flat white and it was spot on. The milk had just the right texture and the temperature was perfect. It is clear that baristas have been trained well. You can also get some here, and they really thought about everyone they cater to different dietary needs."

"My brother and his partner visited me in Cumbria to celebrate his 55th birthday. His requirement was 'a good steak ' and he certainly got that with all the trimmings at the newly refurbished (after the December 2015 floods) Dolly Blue Bar. His partner had the Cajun chicken with salad and a side, I had the steak burger and they were all delicious. The new chef and servers in Dolly Blue provided superb cuisine and excellent service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"

"Hello ,I was yesterday to take my usual lunch as I do every day around 11:30 -12:30 and before to enter in Pret Horsham I see in front of the main shop entrance ,but before the outside tables area, A old man who did not fell too well and He look very dizzy .When I wanted to go in the shop to let staff member of Pret know about what I saw about the old man )l I saw this girl Michelle from Pret running from inside of the shop to get outside fast , pass me very polite and ask her colleagues for a bottle of water .When I turn back my head I see Her catching the old man with a "magic "power and hold him:the old man was very close to hit the table in front of him with his head. Was very close ...........that impact ....I don 't to think about it ...Excellent reaction and catch!Pure Angel reactions !After that all Her facts ,reactions ,the First Aid She done was with OUT any hesitations and very confident in what She does. I honestly tell you guys I remained like a stone and I did not have any reaction in the next 3-5 minutes . This girl ask for a phone ...She don 't get one because everybody was shocked about what was going on and She run for the office phone I guess and the ambulance was there and help the old man and take him away to hospital .Today I was to have my usual lunch and I see her again , smiling ,very polite with that good energy and vibe like usual.I notice her name it 's NOT Michelle and it 's Michaela .I personally thanked Her again today for showing me once more time that, YES! angels exist and should be appreciated as much now when we still have them around.Sincerely , C. "We come here with our children as they have the free farm and we will then pop into the farm shop to buy some local produce. On this occasion, we went to the coffee shop for a hot drink and a snack. As money is often at the for-front of minds atm, I was shocked to see the prices they had for simple foods such as beans on toast £5.50) and cheese on toast £6.50)! We decided to get some cheese on toast to see what it was like , if it included any garnish etc but it was literally cheese on toast and the cheese had been burnt. The hot chocolate was also a very artificial tasting and at £3.80 is more expensive then our local, more high end, coffee shop. I know everyone is struggling but these prices just aren’t justified for what it was. At least add some crisps or salad with the cheese on toast. Interior is comfortable and welcoming. Staff polite, however, lady taking order was very robotic. We won’t be visiting the cafe again anytime soon solely because of the quality of food and the extortionate prices."

"I love the sandwiches/pastries here but really disappointed with poor and slow service. There were 4 people behind the counter. 2 people were waiting for coffee orders and because there weren't any, they were just standing waiting. The other 2 were taking one order at a time and wouldn't take the next order until the whole order had finished (lots of standing and waiting for sandwiches to toast and then even delivering to the tables (whilst the other 2 were standing around). It's 1pm on 27th October and I was there 10 minutes ago so perhaps management need to have a word with those staff working because it's very frustrating to watch when you are on a lunch break. Then when I did receive my toasted mozarella and pesto sandwich, it had been shoved into the bag so it wasn't even a sandwich anymore. Most of the mozarella had clearly slipped out in the cooking process so I was left with mostly bread and tomato. Really disappointed. Not going back unless I receive a free sandwich and the service improves. They really can't charge that kind of money and not train the staff properly."

"I have visited this church linked café/restaurant many times in the past the most recent being today. I have always had a hot meal whether from the standard menu or the specials board all have been excellent value and very tasty. Today I had the home made steak and kidney pie with new potatoes, carrots and sweet corn and a pot of tea more of this later. The meal was served piping hot and was ample for a lunch I was satisfied but not over full at the end of my meal. Previously I have had a lamb hot pot again home made that appeared on the specials board it was full of lamb and not wishing to repeat myself very tasty. I have never tried the desserts as I find a cooked meal is ample for dinner time so lunch to those with breading. My only criticism is that the tea is too weak the pot is large enough for two tea bags or the quality of the teat needs reviewing. of course it could be partly my fault by putting to much full fat milk in the cup first, I am used to skimmed milk at home. The café is run as a charity organisation, I was introduced to it by a work colleague several years ago and visit when ever I am in Oldham. The serving staff appear to have a mixture of disabilities or learning difficulties but all do their job very well. The café is large, well used so much a so at the normal dinner time 12 to 1.00pm it can be difficult to find a free table. If you want a nice ordinary home cooked meal and are in Oldham seek out this cafe it is tucked away down a narrow cul de sac just off the town centre."

"So disappointing yet again. Primarily come to use soft play and coffee..as nice selection of cakes etc... But, every time I queue for about 20 mins and give up on coffee and just pay for soft play and go. Staff are so slow and bored looking..with no enthusiasm or care it seems. To queue just to do soft play is painful...need another way to do this as adults get impatient in queue never mind children. Could be so much better for what else is there...but it's such a let down and although fresh baking is so tempting, I can't bear to wait... Please make changes..."

"Nice cozy atmosphere, good food and lovely staff. There were 23 of us and virtually everyone ordered something different from the menu, in advance. Lauren was just amazing and helpful at every turn. Couldn’t have done it without her.. She not only coped with cancellations and changes with a smile, but also helped to serve at table. The food was well presented and tasty and we all admired dishes we shall try next time (this is the 5th time all the family have travelled to meet up here for a meal). The large back dining room is great and just the right size for a big party. Thanks so much to Lauren and all the staff for an excellent time. Faultless! Xxx"

"You can easily miss this lovely little restaurant which is tucked away in the bottom corner of the Swan Courtyard. The welcome was warm and friendly and the menu was that little bit different and all the food cooked fresh to order. We enjoyed the Chicken Wrap and the Cheffed up Burger which were delicious. There was a nice selection of cakes and the wines are reasonably priced unfortunately we were in the car but next time we will visit Clitheroe by bus or on the train! Highly recommended for a relaxing lunch or cake and coffee."

"I had arranged an informal meeting here. Although there were plenty of empty tables, they were all dirty and some had pigeons on eating the left overs I left and had coffee at a nearby cafe. I'm writing this review since today whilst waiting for a friend I went into the bond st station joe and the juice. I ordered a juice with spinach apple and pineapple for£5.40- there was no spinach in it and I would have been better off going to the adjacent m&s and buying a far cheaper bottled apple juice. Maybe my experience has been unfortunate, however I think think this company is jumping on a bandwagon and not offering a quality juice or experience"

"My mum, sister and I visited the Sugar Boutique on the hottest day of the year so far for the Friends themed high tea. The cabin was all decked out with at least 4 different themed teas going on at the same time and they...all looked wonderful. I loved all the extra Friends themed accessories that were on the table (a wooden lobster, a central perk coffee cup and various quotes from the show) A lot of thought had gone into putting the various items together and I would say the vast majority were on point. My favourite from the savoury selection was the mini pizza. I could’ve eaten two myself (like Joey) but the sushi would have worked better for me with a little dipping pot of soy sauce. The sweets were well crafted. Loved the ‘peas’ in the trifle shot! The cupcake though was probably the best cake I have ever eaten from a bakery! Sadly though, as I mentioned the extreme temperature earlier, we had to cut our tea short and take the sweet treats home to eat because it was hotter than hell in the cabin, in spite of numerous fans going and most of the windows open. We will definitely be back for another high tea (in November when the temperature is better"

"I was ecstatic to finally have some crab on the final day of our vacation! My husband and I enjoyed the incredibly delicious crab salad baguettes. I was also tempted by the roast pork. The food was very reasonably priced and the young man serving us was amazing - he knew the menu well and was able to quickly offer us various options. It was also sweet of him to ask my child which lunch box design he preferred for his kids meal - a monkey, lion, etc."

"The Old Swan known locally as Ma Pardoe's I have heard good things about this place for years, but never actually visited it until last weekend. The food was excellent a good selection, well presented, excellent taste, served by very nice staff what more could you want. Well if you want more, and you are a real ale fan they brew their own beer next door excellent selection of beer and at a very good price. We had 2 main meals, 3 pints of beer and 3 soft drinks, all for £42.35 (almost fell off my seat at the excellent price) Large car park at the rear, a real old fashioned Black Country pub if like me you have heard of it but not yet gone to it GO NOW you will not be disappointed."

"Yesterday evening, we stopped by the restaurant just before 6:30pm while waiting to board a boat at Tower Pier. My partner ordered a croque monsieur, which was average, and I had a mozzarella and pesto olive roll, which was also just okay. However, what was unsettling was the staff's eagerness to clean floors and clear tables in preparation for closing time, which was still an hour and a half away. They seemed more focused on closing up than serving customers, which didn't create a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite."
