"The host was excellent upon our arrival, but our table was not ready on time. This wasn't a big issue as we were able to stand and enjoy a drink while we waited. Unfortunately, there was no space at the bar and we had to stand right next to the DJ. The service was okay, but they forgot our order twice. The food was good, but I would say it was just average. Overall, the experience was okay, but not excellent as it should have been."

"I took my mum and mother in law for high tea and we were delighted the moment we stepped in, amazing decor and absolutely stunning dining hall! Never seen anything like that before! We booked via phone and we were asked for card details first I was bit reluctant but they explained due to everything made fresh for diners we want to make sure nothing goes to waste as they do not take walk-ins, they also assured card won't be charged until dining and there is no cancellation fee if cancelled in advance, which made sense! We like afternoon tea/high tea but I can assure I have never had such an amazing tea before! Everything was so fresh, from scones to sandwiches and pastries! They also gave us surprises with hot and cold canapés which were freshly baked! Which made sense for calling it high tea! As there was so much to eat, freshly baked hot bread with butter was scrumptious! We will be back it was the best high tea we ever had!"

"The food was decent and the ambiance was entertaining, but the service was extremely chaotic. We were seated right next to another couple, with very little privacy. The service initially started off promptly with our food arriving within 5 minutes of ordering. However, towards the end of our meal, we waited half an hour for a simple dish. When we inquired about the delay, we were given the wrong bill with items we didn't order. Despite explaining that we were still waiting for our meal and dessert, we were unable to order dessert as the tablet malfunctioned. Overall, we had high hopes for this restaurant and enjoyed the food, but were disappointed by the chaotic service and table placement."

"We went after their great renovation and the ambience is good for one night in a quiet yet lively restaurant. However, given the situation not central London compared to all other many other Japanese restaurants I was, the prices are too high. I pay less for everything in an authentic Japanese restaurant in central locations. Sushi quality is great with thick and fresh cuts and good decoration and good selection of menu for the size of the kitchen. A dish that I do not enjoy was my favorite grilled egg on rice, the size of the aal was 1/3 of the normal size for the price of £18, as the aal prices have decreased little in recent years. For this reason I gave 2 star of 5 for value. If you are looking for great sushi in Kentish Town, there is no other place, so I recommend if you are a local Japanese fan."

"Was disappointed with fish dish. Tasted off and not very fresh (all 3 sea bass we had ordered). So we complained and Restaurant did take the price off bill, and we ordered something else. "My wife and I have been going to Thai Edge Leeds since we started seeing each other, we decided to go today for our 19th wedding anniversary. Extremely disappointed. No non alcoholic wine or larger, had to wait over half an hour for our starter after we ordered, told this was because they were busy, yet only 21 customers in {ie only a quarter full}, starter mixed tempera vegetables was half onion rings little variety, masamam curry was ok but not as good as previously, pad thai was basically a plate of noodles. Building is now shabby and in need of the tender loving care of a decorator, menu in worse condition than the building."

"Very poor. More like a takeaway with tables. Didn’t have the options advertised on their website. Order via a QR code and pay upfront. No waiting staff- just servers. Food took half an hour to come and it all comes at once (starters mains) and then the drinks came after. Food was edible but nothing special. Toilets weren’t clean. I will never go back"

"Me and my partner have a strict diet and decided to go to giraffe for a treat. She ordered the rodio chicken burger and instantly said she had minor pains in her stomach. We finished and paid for the bill and made our way home. At night she was complaining the pain was still there she tried to go to sleep and an hour later she woke up with severe stomach pains and had extreme sickness and diarrhoea. There was blood in her sick so I instantly called an ambulance. We had a written record from the paramedic who confirmed that it was food poisoning. She complained to giraffe and they refused to except all responsibility and did not even offer to refund or compensate for her meal. I was disgusted with this company and will not eat here gain. I was even more annoyed they were saying it was from the oats And banana shed eaten prior to the visit. I'm a qualified nutritionist! I was gobsmacked when I heard this. Lol"

"My husband and I visited on the first day restaurants could open post-lockdown. It was a brilliant experience! The staff were super friendly, the distancing measures were great with staff wearing masks and tables far apart and we felt very safe indeed. But most importantly, the food was delicious! We had the edamame starter and it was absolutely delicious (the sauce was to die for) and then shared a vegan burger and the vegan chilli. Both were very good and the portions were just right (not too big). Other tempting menu options were the tofu tacos, the Buddha bowl and the Japanese bowl. For dessert they have a vegan icecream sundae which you can choose your own toppings (all of them vegan except one) and a vegan brownie (this was out of stock). Their mint lemonade is also fantastic! All in all, it was a perfect evening. Their breakfast menu also looks fab so no doubt we’ll pop back for some vegan pancakes on Sunday!"

"I'm a fan of nandos. I respect nandos. I'll tell you why. let's be honest, no chain can really claim highest priority in cooking from any particular dish. so I mean, it's hard to find dishes that a chain restaurant always cooks better than an independent one. nandos has his recipe in the sense that no one else peri peri huhn as well as they do. whenever I go to nandos, his half-whn for me, medium-wrough (extremely seasoned is recommended only to superheroes, side the fries and depending on my mood mais on the cob or coleslaw. I really recommend the chicken comb. reason is that the restaurant does the best. Forget the slightly boring chickenburger. The rest comes beyond eating. Here nando has something to do. first, the drinks she offered are scarce and the self-service system is quite annoying. second, nandos has a bad habit to leave its clean tables, teller, toilets, etc. dirty! I have not yet found the solution to keep its restaurants really clean (what is right? . finally, nandos sometimes makes it easy to feel like her in a chicken factory. I don't know why this is exactly how to describe it a hard feeling. my general belief is that by paying the cash system and taking normal waiter, nado 's could significantly improve the dining room experience. but don't let these last points go in theirs, especially if you've never been. one must go to nando once in his life. ps: nandos comes from South Africa and is one of the most famous brands of the country! as I said: I respect nando’s."

"We called ahead yesterday after enjoying a drink, and ended our meal with the delicious bread and butter pudding with custard. My friends had the cheesecake with a unique twist, the scallops, and the lamb kebab. We also discovered the Moroccan mint tea with rose, which is a must-try. "Neighborhood Sushi Joint in Stoke Newington. We went as coward of 4 on New Year's Eve for early dinner before the family all distributed to their respective celebrations. The staff was on the ball and the sushi was very good and inventive. The decor is quite simple, but still comfortable and generally it had a welcoming mood. Our waitress was covered with deeds, but it's Stoke Newington and she was on the ball with service. Very recommended."

"Haven’t been to the Tootoomoo Crouch End before! This is the first time I’ve been out since Christmas to actually eat out. I’m so happy that Crouch End great job with social distance! Loved the prawns but the squid was bit dry. I got 2 potions of the prawns thoooough! Banging!10/10 easy! Katsu prawns in crispy panko breadcrumbs. sauce! Levels! We ordered: Prawn Crackers 8/10 Prawns Tempura 10/10! Amazing! Sauce was lovely! Really nice, very flavoursome! This is coming from someone who is very picky when it comes to sea food! Get this! Squid 8/10 Beef Ramen 10/10 Noodles have a rich flavour. chicken Saty 10/10! All that! Grilled Satay! Amazing! Get this! Comfort food! Worth getting 2 potions of this! Lol Korean Fried Chicken 10/10 Oh my days! Get 2 orders or these because they are soooo nice!!! Chicken cooked beautifully, tastes of Mauritian Chicken, very comforting and the sauce was a nice touch. Super soft bao buns! Ps, didn’t really taste any cabbage but all good."

"We had a Japanese friend staying with us who had not had a Japanese meal in England before. We decided to try this Japanese restaurant as a takeaway and ordered several dishes. Our friend rated the meal overall as a 6 out of 10. I...would agree with her. The dishes were cooked to the Western palate and had a little too much sugar added making the fried udon, teriyaki chicken and fried aubergine all too sweet for the Asian palate. However, we will still visit the restaurant in future. We will make a point to request the chef to reduce the amount of sugar and salt."

"This Japanese restaurant serves delicious food! I have visited multiple times and have always been satisfied. The service is excellent and the dishes are wonderful. We tried the vegetable ramen and salmon bento, both of which were not only generous in portion size but also incredibly affordable. The food arrived at our table within 10 minutes of ordering, and we were impressed by the efficiency. Our bill came to around 40 pounds for dinner for two, including drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of quick and delicious Japanese cuisine."

"I just had the worst experience ever with their take away menu! In a time where we should all help each other and be kind, I found the experience with my local restaurant very stressful. I'm in quarantine so already under pressure and I decided to order for me and my daughter a take away to support my local restaurants. I've ordered two noddles and I read the ingredients, it was written chilies but not very hot or very spicy or anything like that. Food arrived and couldn't be eaten! My lips were on fire and I don't even mention the reaction of my daughter. we couldn't eat it, and I do eat spicy food! I phoned and explained that I was a local customer, I was in quarantine and if they could kindly send me back my dinner less spicy. The owner said that it was written there was chilly and I argued that it was mentioned as an ingredient and not as hot or spicy or anything like that. The result was that they didn't offer to send me the dinner again and also no refund, they argued they were really busy and didn't seem to care I was in quarantine with no dinner! In normal times I would have found this very rude but in this lockdown climate I found it very nasty!!!"
