"had a great place on the window, brilliant for people watching. after that the service was not great, waited to be served. not that it was busy. the food was edible when you like salt. fish n chips, cold and overcooked. burger tasted ok, but very salty and they season the chips, so salt. I don't take a salt, so we left the chips, we were never asked if it was our taste. will not be back and would recommend to everyone to tell them they will add their own salt!"

"We chose this restaurant as we were staying close by at the Best Western Hotel, and reviews seemed good. Booked online and revived a timely confirmation by text message very quick and easy. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and the ambience is lovely. Staff also very welcoming and friendly! Menu is extensive with lots of choice; I’m a huge pasta lover and it took me a while to decide on what I wanted. I opted for the calamari starter and OH had the deep fried mozzarella. Calamari arrived hot and good portion size with wonderful dip and side salad. It was however a little rubbery and I suspect was frozen rather than fresh. Fried mozzarella was delicious! For mains I had the linguine salmone and OH has the chorizo calzone. The salmon was divine! So much flavour and the pasta was perfectly cooked in a sauce that was light and balanced. My OH’s calzone was absolutely MASSIVE! He said it was the best calzone he’s ever had the pasty was amazing, very light. Because we were both so full we shared dessert of profiteroles, and these were delicious too. Quite a large portion with plenty of cream and chocolate sauce; delicious! Prices are great value for money! I would highly recommend this restaurant; a great find!"

"I love Caribbean food, all the big flavours, the homely cooking , the spiciness, everything is pretty amazing. There are more and more Caribbean restaurants opening in London with quite a few good ones in Notting Hill, Brixton, and Shoreditch. Last night we visited The Rum Kitchen in Notting Hill and really loved the funkiness of the place as well as their huge list of rum based cocktails. The starters were the highlight of the night, we had the spicy chicken wings which were finger licking delicious and just the right level of spiciness. For main I had the soft shell crab burger which I had quite high expectations but fell a bit flat. I would have loved a bit more spiciness and...read more"

"Me, my father and my 15 year old daughter sat down on the terrace outside for a drink. My daughter and I walked in to order, but it turned out we were sitting on the terrace of the pub opposite, so we had to be across the street. This was very unclear because there was no entrance on that side. The entrance was on the side, accessible via a staircase that was not clearly visible from the terrace. We politely apologized and ordered from the correct pub. My daughter wanted to see the menu at The Anchor Inn, so she walked in again and asked to take a look at the menu. The man and woman behind the bar looked at her very angrily and said: Not here! That pub!! and showed her the door. How rude! She wanted to see what they had on the menu and come back to eat later in the day. Sadly Anchor Inn, we will never return here!"

"Excellent vegan jap chae and tasty vegan cauliflower wings! I also had the tofu lollipops, which don 't really match their menu description as lollipops , but they were fine the way they were and came with an average sauce. I 'm definitely all about ordering the jap chae and cauliflower wings as soon as I can again! I loved that Jinjuu 's jap chae had several veggies too. The restaurant had several vegan items marked on the menu."

"I ordered two take away coffees when there was no line, some people in the cafe but not obviously busy and two memebers if staff behind the counter. They were both very passive, not friendly and it seemed like I was a nuisance rather than a customer. When I went to pay I put my card into the machine and the man walked off to have a chat with his colleague which is fine but it was a significant amount of time of me waiting there in the middle of the transaction without the staff member even saying “I’ll be one second”. I know these seem like minor things but customers want to feel comfortable and I certainly didn’t awkwardly standing there for quite a while and feeling like a bother."

"Been taken over a few weeks apparently. No food served, not sure they will be doing or not? The new roads may well have done for the place, which is a shame as it was a lovely pub for food and atmosphere. No atmosphere now and seems to be a local drinking place with the requisite staring if you're not from round these parts. Needs the actual Google search updating by the owners to reflect no food now. Service: 3"

"Never having been to a Malaysian restaurant before, we weren't sure what to expect. However, it was a delightful experience. The food was excellent the Rendang daging (Beef rendang) was particularly good and we liked the table d'hote pricing: one could have one, two, three or four courses for set prices. Service was first class: the service charge was automatically added on to the bill, but we gave extra because of that service. Overall, we'd encourage anyone to try Raffles."

"If your in girvan, go and try these guys they do a range if different foods from around the world, and always have a special on. They work so hard just the two of them from early until really late, they welcome you in and are very attentive, 20 mins before closing time the chef welcomed 2 guys in with open arms, with no thought to he would defo be shutting late which I thought was amazing. He comes out personally to make sure your meal is enjoyable and what you expect. We left full it's not expensive either your spend more at the chippy. A wide selection of home baked cakes and cookies unfortunately I was too podged for a nything else had to undo my Jean's to walk home. Support these little businesses if your about rather than the big ones as the service attention to detail and good food will outweigh those everytime."

"We've been eating here since it opened and enjoyed takeaways through Covid. The owner is a likeable chap and I remember discussing the origin of the restaurant as a truly authentic dining experience with dishes direct from his home village cooked by Auntie on our first visit. A simple menu delivered what it promised. On our latest visit, the menu had changed to become a bit more mainstream and the furniture has gone from eclectic to uniform. I'm not saying the food's not good (it's great), but much has transformed the humble eatery. It's a nice place and I hope it continues to do well somehow I miss the limited menu... Still, I recommend it."

"Well where do I start…. My wedding meal was here at the Weston Tavern with our family and friends. And our food was absolutely delicious. We were made to feel so welcome, as were our guests. Nothing was of any trouble and every guest who ate a meal with us commented on how lovely the meal was. The lentil soup was delicious, turkey dinner perfect and sticky toffee pudding…. Wow. The service and hospitality was second to none and I can’t wait to dine here again very soon. The restaurant was very cosy and my husband and I appreciate all the personal touches which made our wedding very special. Staff even offered local transport to take guests home and to our evening reception due to weather conditions. A must visit if you live locally or are passing through. Thanks again to you all."

"Alway been a fan of Chef Brewer as you know you are going to get good food and good value, so have been to many around our area, but The Fairmile is by far the BEST, we were greeted by Shaun who I honestly...thought was the manager by his totally efficient manner, had a lovely table and drinks were on the table in minutes, we had pate and the presentation was excellent, followed by the most succulent rump steak I’ve had in a very long while!!, will definitely be going again , and thank you Shaun for going the extra mile !! And thank you chefs!!"

"We have been coming here for years but our recent experience was terrible. Service was appalling, they were not busy in the restaurant but very busy with take aways. We arrived at 7pm and left at 8.35 having only had a starter platter in that time. We waited almost an hour for our main course to arrive and then gave up and left. They still presented the full bill to us despite our dissatisfaction and when we complained they took only £5 off it. Wine took ages to arrive as did starters, as did water. They also took 15 mins to tell us they were now out of house white wine. Didn’t offer an alternative for the same price. The management here is clearly an issue, they also need to decide in the kitchen where their priorities lie. Diners or take away! We will not be going back anytime soon as we left hungry and went to another restaurant nearby. I hope you take this review seriously and take actions to ensure no one else has to sit though a similar experience"

"A Culinary Journey Through India: Exquisite Flavors Await! Stepping into this Indian restaurant was like stepping into a culinary oasis. The air was redolent with the fragrant spices of India, promising an adventure for the taste buds. The ambiance, adorned with traditional Indian decor, transported me to the streets of Mumbai. Let's delve into the heart of the experience the food. The Tandoori chicken stole the show, perfectly marinated and cooked to juicy perfection. Each bite was a burst of smoky flavor that left me craving for more. And the Biryani? Simply divine. The fragrant rice, layered with tender meat and aromatic spices, was a symphony of flavors. However, a word of caution: the green chili served alongside packs a fiery punch, so tread carefully if you're not accustomed to the heat! But what truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The owner's son, who served as our waiter, was the epitome of friendliness. His warm demeanor and attentive service made us feel right at home, enhancing the overall dining experience. In conclusion, my visit to this Indian restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. With tantalizing dishes like the Tandoori chicken and flavorful Biryani, complemented by the friendly service, it's a culinary journey you won't want to miss. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or embarking on your first adventure, this restaurant is a must visit destination!"

"I've been coming here since 1991, and I absolutely love it! The food is truly exceptional, and I haven't found anything that compares. The shawarma is the best I've had anywhere in the world, and I've tried many Middle Eastern restaurants."

"Is it Asian? Is it Western? Is it an artisan coffee shop? It seems to be all of the above. Is it authentic? Wrong question. The place bills itself as an Asian fusion cafe. Considering I only saw one Asian (Singaporean? out of half of dozen staff roaming around, and I was perhaps the only Asian in the whole restaurant area, we should take the Asian part with a pinch of salt. You 've got your choice of rice and noodle dishes, sushi, or a selection of meat goodness wedged inside a steamed bun. We decided to go with the last option since it was the most out of the ordinary we were not disappointed. Between the two of us, we easily downed four pairs of meat goodness wedged steamed buns. They were tasty. Belly pork, roast duck, char siu, and Shiracha beef each pair costing £5.95. With a couple pots of hot tea and two free pastries (a deal with a hot drink , that came out to be more than your local grocery store lunch deal. Nice eats that I would come back to, but not if I were on a budget (or an Asian food snob... which I often am! ."

"This restaurant is a wonderful choice for a budget-friendly meal. The table service is excellent and I had a great experience dining there today. I enjoyed a 3-course meal for only £10.80. "Menu: Brilliant. We took nearly minutes to decide what we were having, it all looked so good. Food: Ordered the Suarez' and the soup of the day, tomato, ginger and coriander. The sandwich was lovely and the soup in particular was delicious. Medium to big servings, erring to the latter considering it's the West End. Service: Staff very friendly and generally good chat. There was quite a wait between ordering and getting served though Ambience/decor/etc: Very cosy little place with interesting signs, etc, on the wall. Enjoyed it. Price: Paid for my sandwich, soup and coffee. Thought it was a bit dear Would definitely recommend this place."
"we saw a dog-friendly pub for our day in sailsbury and found this vey beautiful pub. a beautiful dame greeted us in and made a fuss of our two dachunds. we were taken to a nice table and waited for drinks and eating. all the workers made a damper over our dogs when they came near the table, what they really enjoyed. the food was really good. boiled to perfection and well presented. the best place to eat. many thanks, will be back."
