"Our experience at Zayani on Sipson Road was unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Anish. From the moment we walked in until we left, Anish was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like VIPs. His recommendations were excellent, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was perfect. The food at Zayani is outstanding. We enjoyed every bite, from the delicious Chicken Tikka Patiah to the fragrant Peshwari Naan. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the freshness of the ingredients shone through in every dish. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, offering a relaxing escape from the nearby Heathrow airport. Despite having tried many restaurants on Sipson Road, Zayani has now become our top choice, just beating out Achari. The Cobra beers we had perfectly complemented our meal, making the evening even more enjoyable. Hats off to Anish and the entire team at Zayani for providing us with such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"Menu: Brilliant. We took nearly minutes to decide what we were having, it all looked so good. Food: Ordered the Suarez' and the soup of the day, tomato, ginger and coriander. The sandwich was lovely and the soup in particular was delicious. Medium to big servings, erring to the latter considering it's the West End. Service: Staff very friendly and generally good chat. There was quite a wait between ordering and getting served though Ambience/decor/etc: Very cosy little place with interesting signs, etc, on the wall. Enjoyed it. Price: Paid for my sandwich, soup and coffee. Thought it was a bit dear Would definitely recommend this place."

"This is a new place with astounding food. Their menu displays the plates visually which is helpful. I went for their signature chicken and hand pulled noodles (huge, delicious) plus the sweet and sour fish (beyond delicious) plus the kale (umami heaven). The service was good and I hope they do well. This isn’t your standard noodle bar and clearly Their chef has buckets of talent. Hands down one of the best places to eat in the area. Tip downstairs is a nicer place to eat, they even have book shelves filled with paperbacks if, like me, you enjoy reading and eating. Love it"

"My girlfriend and I visited Tarantella for lunch today. We opted for the 2-course menu, starting with arancini filled with spinach and risotto, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered the carbonara for my main course, which was incredibly creamy and flavorful with well-cooked meat. My girlfriend, Ahri, chose the bolognaise, which she enjoyed although she found the pasta a bit hard. The brownie we had for dessert was so filling that we had to take it to go, and I found the chocolate flavor to be too dark for my liking. Despite that, it was a wonderful date with satisfying food, all for just under £30 for both of us."

"Tasty Malay Food. On one Sunday afternoon in early Jun together with two friends, I orderred three plates of plain rice, seabass curry, sayur kangkung belacan and telor dadah for lunch. The food was marvelous and the aroma of curry made your saliva dripping from your mouth. The teh tarik that I orderred arrived steaming hot on the table. To complement with the teh tarik, I orderred a big plate of mee goreng mamak. Woe delicious, you should try it for yourself. The price we paid for those authentic delicious foods, ambience atmosphere and friendly services was cheap indeed The whole lunch affair was memorable since Tuk Din himself was present to tell us his experience in running...read more"

"We regret to say that our most recent visit to this restaurant will also be our last. We do not wish to lay blame on the new owners, but we believe they need to address some issues. We have dined here several times before and always enjoyed it, but our last experience was unfortunately disappointing. Despite making a reservation, we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived (party of 6). After ordering, another couple came in, ordered, received their food, ate, and left, while we were still waiting. Our food finally arrived 50 minutes later and it was also underwhelming. The soup seemed to be diluted and other dishes were not up to standard. We are truly disappointed that we will not be returning."

"We ate on a Friday night, with a group of friends. of our party were minutes late, but the staff were excellent about it. We had the tasting menu, which was wide and varied. Not every course was a hit with everyone, but nobody was disappointed. Fantastic cheese board and a chocolate truffle was the perfect finish. The staff didnt rush us out, and we actually stayed for a nightcap rather than going on somewhere else. Was exactly what we were looking for"

"I have been visiting this restaurant sporadically since the 90s. To echo every thing the other reviews are saying, the food is greasy and the customer service is beyond comprehensible. The branch must realise that it must be accomadating to both locals and non-european minorities. I am both and was grabbed by the neck by the greek ? manager this afternoon, because I needed to be moved on for the next wave of cusfomers. This is disgusting behavoiour and I will not be returning. "The food was good and having it cooked in front of you is something different and a nice experience, however I was not able to eat my noodles until they were cold, as the waiter was almost elbowing me in the face while cooking my...friends’ food – the table was clearly too small for 6 people. What ruined the evening though, was that, towards 7.45pm, the waitress asked us to pay, and rushed us in doing so, because apparently they needed the table for another customer. Our booking, however, was until 9pm. She insisted that since we arrived early, they had given us a different table which needed to be left earlier. This was not mentioned when we were given the table, nor when we were asked if we wanted desserts. over the same waitress was trying to make one of us pay for the whole bill, rather than having us pay separately, because easier for her, which is just ridiculous. An animated discussion then ensued, which is certainly not making me want to go back. Some serious customer service training is needed."

"Alway been a fan of Chef Brewer as you know you are going to get good food and good value, so have been to many around our area, but The Fairmile is by far the BEST, we were greeted by Shaun who I honestly...thought was the manager by his totally efficient manner, had a lovely table and drinks were on the table in minutes, we had pate and the presentation was excellent, followed by the most succulent rump steak I’ve had in a very long while!!, will definitely be going again , and thank you Shaun for going the extra mile !! And thank you chefs!!"

"Was in having a drink with some friends was waiting for my lift home and heard the owner shouting at a staff member. Dayle the staff member) had been brilliant all night very attentive and pleasant and when asking for payment from the people playing poker was told to be quiet and to hush and this was at closing time. The owner was shouting so loud I could hear him from outside and was incredibly disrespectful in how he was talking to her. I could hear her crying due to how she was being spoken to and I will not spend my money in a place that treats their staff so poorly I would strongly encourage everyone else to do so, she was clearly asking for help when the owner started shouting at her."

"First stop: Zaika Kensington: Perched at the most south western edge of Hyde Park, comes this regal Indian restaurant. The Arabs have always been fond of Indian spices, adding many to their own cuisine. You will not be disappointed at Zaika. Expect a grand Indian dining experience. If you plan on munching a bunch of samosas to start with, then please go elsewhere. Here you are meant to appreciate the intricacies of the dishes and the subtle bursting of flavours. I started off with the vegeterian trio. Never seen a samosa platter that beautiful. Went great with the papadum trio sauces that had just that right spicy kick with the tangy feel. The seekh kabab was ok, just too dry for my Arab...read more"

"We dined here for the first time and found the food served, to be disappointingly mediocre. I had the seafood risotto, first off, it lacked the creaminess a good risotto should have, there were two small king prawns, a few cut up slices of squid rings and the rest of the seafood were clams. Plus, there was really no flavour to speak of. My sister had a pizza, the base was pale and clearly undercooked, again bland. Overall, if I’m going to pay £35+ per head and 10% service charge, I’d like to enjoy food that is bursting with flavour, not food I can cook better at home. Unfortunately, and for these reasons, we won’t be returning."

"it was our first visit to west malling, so we didn't know any caffes or restaurants. we went straight to a Costa coffee shop to look for somewhere else and came over the hungry guest. we went in and it was quite busy, but a beautiful lady came and greeted us and found us a table. we looked at the food, the other people eat and it looked delicious! my man chose croque monsieur and I chose a roasted sweet sandwich. when the food came, it was served on a wooden board like a piece of tree trunk! my was beautiful, a roasted disc of her own brotes with roasted veg, goat cheese and a drau of balsamico vinegar and with a byalat. yum! my man sandwich was huge, two slices of broth with ham and roasted cheese on top with a nasalate. we both had cappucinos to drink, and we both thought they were the best we tasted. I can't wait to go back there. thank you hungry guest! xx"

"Have visited here a few rare occasions when dinning out food is what you would expect in a pub/restaurant though depending on your choice you can see the effort applied to presentation giving you the idea of it being restaurant rather than pub. The HILL can be a busy venue and does offer reservation if your looking to dine out over weekend. Also advise calling ahead if you are going mid week. I have visited when it's busy without calling ahead and lucky enough to be seated within 5 min and ordering food soon after. Service is 100% Staff are friendly, always smile, (although being in west end like most places the staffing can change due to students being employed part time while at uni. They are always chosen well by manager) 100% Cleanliness 100% Appearance 100% 4 stars instead of 5 this is only because on my 1st visit to dine at no fault of the HILL. I was feeling surrounded by the loudness of and over crowded by the pub image. But It isn't a restaurant only so expect it to be louder on busier nights. I could have gone else where on this occasion but chose to stay and have food and I wasn't put off."

"My wife and i visited Girvan and gave the Auld Aquaintance Cafe a try We were not disappointed. The Cafe is managed by the husband and wife team Prenil and Delphina Prenil is the chef and Delphina manages the cafe. They both made us feel extremely welcome and Prenil allowed us complete freedom to dictate our own taste choices and explored with us our food likes. Prenil can make virtually any dish to order rightly called food fusion) and loves a challenge but on this occasion we opted for Indian food and a house special Chicken Kashmiri and a Prenil customised Korma. We also ordered chicken Pakora and Onion Bhajis as starters. Each dish came piping hot directly from the kitchen as soon as it was ready to eat. Each and every dish was a delight , the Pakora was extremely succulent and the dips were delicious as were the Bhajis. The main courses each included the curry dish, rice, a hand made fresh flat bread and a Poppodom the food was specialised and subtly different in taste from standard curries , you could literally taste a multitude of different flavours. If you are in Girvan then don't be put off by the cafe decor , its all about the food and it is well worth the visit we don't think you will be disappointed and very reasonable prices for speciality food. If you have dietary requirements then they can usually accommodate most my wife is gluten intolerant and had no issues However if possible phone ahead and they will proactively respond to your specific needs."
"we saw a dog-friendly pub for our day in sailsbury and found this vey beautiful pub. a beautiful dame greeted us in and made a fuss of our two dachunds. we were taken to a nice table and waited for drinks and eating. all the workers made a damper over our dogs when they came near the table, what they really enjoyed. the food was really good. boiled to perfection and well presented. the best place to eat. many thanks, will be back."

"This is intended as a neutral, purely factual review. Good points the one meal we had during our 2 day stay was excellent and the room was basic but comfortable. Bad points closed for meals on Sunday evening even for residents, closed all day Wednesday and no cooked breakfast until 10am on any day. We were on a boating trip on the Oxford Canal, needing a room and meals on the Sunday and Tuesday evenings in that location, where there’s nowhere else to stay. Some things had gone wrong during our stay and we appreciated being offered in compensation wine and desserts free of charge with our evening meal on the Tuesday. However, we had to spend £37 in taxi fares to find a Sunday evening meal in Deddington, only 2 miles away and we were unable to have cooked breakfasts during our stays, as we had to depart before 10am on the Monday morning and the hotel was completely closed on the Wednesday morning. For us, cooked breakfasts are a big part of the pleasure of staying away, as we never have them at home. Overall we found this hotel unsatisfactory and we would not recommend it as somewhere to stay. When it’s open, the restaurant is good. Rooms: 3 Service: 2 Location: 4"

"What wonderful staff this restaurant has. When I ordered prosecco they asked what the occasion was and I mentioned that it was my birthday. When our dessert arrived they'd turned mine into a little birthday celebration complete with music. This was totally unsolicited and a wonderful gesture! The maitre d' also noticed my daughter struggling to open the hand wipe after dealing with a langoustine and came straight over to help her, again without being asked. This was all absolutely 5 star service! The food itself was delicious, the lamb special I had was sublime and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her seafood pasta. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!"
