"Antonia and her family make you feel so welcome at Acqua and Farina that you might wonder if your related. This place is everything that the "little Italian restaurant" should be. Warm atmosphere, simple delicious food and service that is attentive and personal yet unhurried. The Penne Arabiatta is the best I have ever had in a restaurant including trips to Rome, Piedmont and Sicily. You may think that this unassuming dish could never astound but Mamma in the kitchen elevates it to a high art to rival any of the pastas at Il Mulino in NYC or Gusto in Rome. The caprese salad was excellent and the bottle of Primitivo they offered at 25 Euros was an excellent value for a wonderful wine. If you get the impression that I liked this place consider this; in a single week I dined there 5 times. Twice with my wife, twice by myself and once with a group of friends who turned out by coincidence to be regulars there. I didn't try the ice cream place next store but I wanted to. Perhaps on the next trip. Acqua and Farina does not disappoint. Well worth the trip to this hip neighborhood next time you are in Berlin."

Super freundliche italienische Bedienung.

This very well situated restaurant offers poor italian dishes. The so-called 'traditional' lasagne is just a cake of bad cooked slices of pasta with bolognaise sauce on the top of it. The spek in the pasta with mushrooms was also from very poor quality.

Pleasant restaurant, with honest, non-pretentious Italian cuisine from the Basilicata region. Excellent location, lively but in a low traffic area. Seats and tables under the trees. Daily Changing menues with fresh ingredients. Charming service with personality.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful evening at Acqua e Farina. We ordered a three course meal and were delighted about the quality and freshness of the meals. The wine was surprisingly good, a 20 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Italy, a real bargain for the price. We also talked with the very friendly owners and the chef as well and time flew away. The best restaurant by far during our stay in Berlin and one not to be missed, both in terms of quality and pricelevel.

Ci torneremo sicuramente.

We felt very welcomed at this Italian restaurant: everyone who works there is extremely friendly and really goes the extra mile to accommodate customers' needs. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal.I wish I could be as enthusiastic about the food they serve, but unfortunately we found it only just ok. The parmigiana (aubergine casserole) was tasty; the lamb was hard and overcooked and the scaloppine al limone, as well as the grilled veggies they were served with, did not taste much I'm afraid. I would not discourage anyone from visiting this place if in the area and in search of plain Italian food; however, I would not advise anyone to go all the way through Berlin to come and have dinner...

I am Italian myself and am astounded by the amount of restaurants in Berlin that claim to serve 'genuine Italian food'. However Tonia, Mamma Enza and Papa' Carlo will take you in Italty!! It was like entering into a lovely little deli back home. I was treated excellently and my every need was catered for. I sampled the antipasti and was amazed at the size of the dish. All the food placed on the dish are carefully thought out and the flavours complemented each other wonderfully. Simple, genuine, great quality feed stocks just as the italian food should be with the plus of a unique italian atmosphere., I will be returning within the next couple of days to sample their home made breads, pasta,...
